Chapter 14 â Uninhabited Island Lv.4
I enjoyed the wild boar meat, and both Skor and I were filled with a sense of happiness. I donât think we can move for a while.
âFrom now on, we should also hunt monsters to secure food.â
âYes, itâs a large uninhabited island, so I think other monsters inhabit it, and there might even be dungeons.â
Thatâs right. This is a vast uninhabited island, an undeveloped land where no one lives⦠Thereâs a big mountain, and the forest spreads far and wide. There may even be caves. Then, there must be a cave dungeon. However, I have never entered a dungeon before, but I had at least some knowledge gained from books. It was good to occasionally read adventurerâs knowledge books1for pastime.
âA dungeon, huh. Maybe we should explore one.â
âYes, I think itâs okay if the development progresses a little more.â
âYes, letâs do that.â
Being impatient is not a good thing. Itâs dangerous to be greedy and try to rush things. We need to proceed slowly and steadily. Besides, our living conditions arenât even fully established yet. First, we need to make sure we can live a normal life.
Letâs check the current âstatusâ.

After completing the lake and setting up the campfire, the level of the uninhabited island has gone up to â4â. Apparently, the more installations, the higher the level will go up. It also seems that the level of buildings such as hut can be raised. It seems that using materials such as wood and âironâ, that I canât use yet, to strengthen them can raise their levels.
Come to think of it, why canât I use âironââ¦? As I was wondering about it, the voice of the heavens, âHavamarâ, echoed.
âOh-hon. Rasty, you seem to be doing your best. I was surprised by your boar hunting.â
âHavamar, did you see it?â
âIndeed. I am always by your side.â
When I was talking with Havamar, Skor was startled.
âAh, Rasty-san! What is this voice?â
âCan you hear it too, Skor?â
âYes, clearly! It sounds like a girlâs voice though.â
âMaybe? I mean, itâs always just a âvoice,â so I donât know its true identity. â
This was real.
I still didnât know the true meaning behind why Havamar is helping me.
âOh, right. Iâm sorry for not greeting you earlier. Holy Maiden Skor, my name is Havamar, and I am here on this island with you all.â
âHavamar-sanâ¦I didnât know there were other people here!â
âWe may meet someday. Please take care of me at that time.â
âY-yesâ¦â
Since it had been a while since she had talked to anyone other than me, Skor seemed a bit dazed. Come to think of it, it was just the two of us the whole time. It would be nice if the owner of the voice, Havamar, could come over here too.
âBy the way, Rasty. Are you having trouble?â
âI want to strengthen it quickly. I want to use iron, but for some reason, itâs impossible to use⦠â
âOf course. You need a âwork tableâ to handle iron.â
âWork table?â
What in the world is that?
