Chapter 13 – Campfire Lv.1

I returned to the base for the time being.

I immediately used “Stone x10” and “Soil x10” to make a campfire in the nearby vacant lot. As expected, it was completed in three seconds. It seems that “Wood x10” is also necessary from here on. Of course, it is. Naturally.

I started to light the firewood. The fire started burning by itself. It’s too convenient! The campfire’s level is low, so its duration is short. I need to cook the meat quickly.

“If Rasty-san is here, we won’t have any trouble living…”

Skor was staring absentmindedly at the flames and seemed to have completely accepted me. Certainly, I have become more proficient in using this ability. If I can use it better, conquering this uninhabited island will only be a matter of time.

“Well, more importantly, let’s roast the meat.”

I took out the “Boar Meat” that I obtained as an item and skewered it onto a stick made of wood. I placed it at just the right distance and started to roast it.

Originally, it would be nice to have iron plate1or something, but at the moment, there is no such thing, so we’ll use the open fire. The meat made a sizzling sound and juice dripped down. It smelled delicious.

“Is, is this… steak? It looks so delicious, Rasty-san…! Ah, I want to eat it right away.”

Skor was drooling nearby. It’s still half-raw. Eating it like that would upset her stomach. But it looks irresistible. I want to take a big bite of it.

“C’mon, cook faster, cook faster, cook faster.”

Ju-u-u-u-u-u…it’s cooked to perfection. I hand Skor the skewered meat. Now, it’s finally time to eat.

““Itadakimaaaaasu!!”” 2

It’s still hot since it’s freshly cooked.

I blew on it to cool it down a bit so I wouldn’t burn my tongue, then took a bite of the freshly roasted meat. The moment I bit into it, an overwhelming amount of juices spread across my tongue. I didn’t season it at all, but the flavor was incredibly rich and delicious.

“Delicioooous!”

“Uh~~n, it’s delicious…!”

Both Skor and I have the same impression.

If I can cook it this well, I must be a genius. Wait, is wild boar meat really this delicious? I remember my butler, Alfred, who was in charge of my upbringing, criticizing it as being gamey and disgusting. But this… it’s the complete opposite, an exquisite dish. Delicious. I’m very picky when it comes to taste, so there’s no doubt about it.

If I can eat such delicious food here, I wouldn’t mind living on this uninhabited island for the rest of my life!
