Chapter 13 â Campfire Lv.1
I returned to the base for the time being.
I immediately used âStone x10â and âSoil x10â to make a campfire in the nearby vacant lot. As expected, it was completed in three seconds. It seems that âWood x10â is also necessary from here on. Of course, it is. Naturally.
[Campfire][Lv.1]
Can be installed with stone x10 and soil x10.
In case of lighting a fire,
Consumes wood x10.
Duration: 10 minutes
I started to light the firewood. The fire started burning by itself. Itâs too convenient! The campfireâs level is low, so its duration is short. I need to cook the meat quickly.
âIf Rasty-san is here, we wonât have any trouble livingâ¦â
Skor was staring absentmindedly at the flames and seemed to have completely accepted me. Certainly, I have become more proficient in using this ability. If I can use it better, conquering this uninhabited island will only be a matter of time.
âWell, more importantly, letâs roast the meat.â
I took out the âBoar Meatâ that I obtained as an item and skewered it onto a stick made of wood. I placed it at just the right distance and started to roast it.
Originally, it would be nice to have iron plate1or something, but at the moment, there is no such thing, so weâll use the open fire. The meat made a sizzling sound and juice dripped down. It smelled delicious.
âIs, is this⦠steak? It looks so delicious, Rasty-sanâ¦! Ah, I want to eat it right away.â
Skor was drooling nearby. Itâs still half-raw. Eating it like that would upset her stomach. But it looks irresistible. I want to take a big bite of it.
âCâmon, cook faster, cook faster, cook faster.â
Ju-u-u-u-u-uâ¦itâs cooked to perfection. I hand Skor the skewered meat. Now, itâs finally time to eat.
ââItadakimaaaaasu!!ââ 2
Itâs still hot since itâs freshly cooked.
I blew on it to cool it down a bit so I wouldnât burn my tongue, then took a bite of the freshly roasted meat. The moment I bit into it, an overwhelming amount of juices spread across my tongue. I didnât season it at all, but the flavor was incredibly rich and delicious.
âDelicioooous!â
âUh~~n, itâs deliciousâ¦!â
Both Skor and I have the same impression.
If I can cook it this well, I must be a genius. Wait, is wild boar meat really this delicious? I remember my butler, Alfred, who was in charge of my upbringing, criticizing it as being gamey and disgusting. But this⦠itâs the complete opposite, an exquisite dish. Delicious. Iâm very picky when it comes to taste, so thereâs no doubt about it.
If I can eat such delicious food here, I wouldnât mind living on this uninhabited island for the rest of my life!
