Chapter 12 – Defeating The Wild Boar Monster

I held the all-purpose pickaxe [Gale Tulle]. It’s a weapon with only “10” attack power, but it’s better than nothing.

“Skor, I’m counting on you for support from the back.”

“Understood!”

The ferocious wild boar with sharp fangs kicks the ground and charges towards me. It’s already so close… This is bad, I’ll be done for. Before that happened, I swung [Gale Tulle] with all my might from bottom to top and landed a physical attack—take this!!

It didn’t deal any damage, but it did give a powerful knockback. The wild boar flew far away into the distance. However, it immediately regained its posture, got excited, and came charging back recklessly.

“Ah, that’s right, Rasty-san!”

“What!”

“That wild boar monster is a high-level monster called ‘Safeleamnir’ and it’s extremely dangerous. You must avoid that charge attack at all costs!! You’ll die if you don’t!!”

“It’s too late for that now!!!”

While I was retorting, the Safeleamnir comes flying towards me. Darn it, darn it, I can’t afford to lose here.

I’m gonna eat meat!!

I racked my brain, thinking of a way to overcome this hopeless situation… Ah, that’s right, I forgot the most important thing. This. This is the only way!!

I used my uninhabited island development skill and consumed materials “Stone x 10” and “Soil x 10”. I installed the defense facility ‘falling rocks’ on a nearby tree. How can this be so simple?! It’s convenient as usual, but now is not the time to be impressed—!

I turned my back and lured in the Safeleamnir. It came straight at me and chased after me. This is a big chance!!

I jumped at the very edge of the falling rock point! I jumped over it and lured the wild boar jerk into the activation area. And then, the Safeleamnir was crushed by a large rock that fell from above.

“Wow! Amazing, Rasty-san!”

“I’m surprised too! I didn’t think the rock would be bigger than a person.”

No matter how I think about it, it was only the size of a table when I installed it, but when the rock fell, it turned into a big size and fell on the wild boar. This is a defensive facility. It’s amazing.

The Safeleamnir turned into dust and dropped “Boar Meat”. I see, monsters drop items like this. There’s no need to slaughter and process them separately.

“You did it, Rasty-san!”

We exchanged high-fives and shared our joy. So this is what victory feels like… It’s a good feeling. Now we can finally get our hands on some ‘meat’ after a long time!!

“Meat, we can eat meat, Skor!”

“Yes, meat… it’s meeeat!!”

I’m too hungry to wait any longer. Let’s cook it right away. Let’s set up a “campfire” and grill it!

It’s a barbecue party!!
