→ Tim and Dallas realize how stupid their siblings are.

Hannah and Dallas crossed the street at the corner, meeting Tim and Curly Shepard in front of the Dingo.

"Shepard," Dallas said cooly.

"Winston," Tim replied while crossing his arms over his chest.

Curly looked up from the rock he had been kicking with the toe of his shoe. "Hannah."

The girl looked down at her nails. "Curly."

Tim groaned and smacked his brother on the back of his head. "You can never be scary when I need you to," he seethed. Curly pretended to look hurt while stepping forwards beside Hannah.

"If you don't appreciate me, Hannah and I will just leave."

Dallas was too distracted to notice his sister sneak off with the youngest Shepard.

"So, why's Dal pissed at Tim again?"

Hannah shrugged while they walked down the street. It was two o'clock on a Wednesday, everyone was at work and school. "Tim got hammered last night and threw a road flare at his window. Broke the glass, now we owe Buck like, ten dollars."

Curly nodded in understanding. "Wanna head to the school? We can throw some rocks at the mustangs."

Hannah punched him in the shoulder before taking off down the street at a sprint. "That's the smartest thing you've ever said!"

"I bet I can hit that car. No, not that one, the red one. Watch-"

The stone soared through the sky before finding its mark with a light clink.

Oh shit. Fuck.

She grit her teeth as hot pain shot across her stomach. Nearly two weeks had passed since Tony tried to kill her, but it seemed like he still found a way to torture her. Hannah leaned against a metal pole, wiping away a bead of sweat as it ran down her forehead. Curly glanced at her as he tossed a rock back and forth in his hands. "Shit, you okay? You're ain't lookin' so hot."

"I'm fine," she panted. "Just chuck the stupid rock."

Curly did as he was told, leaving a long crooked crack in the windshield of Bob Sheldon's mustang.

Usually, this would have been met with laughter and congratulations. That was not the case as the door to the school opened, and Bob and his groupies flocked to the parking lot.

"That's my fucking car! Look what those fucking greasers did to my car!"

Curly chuckled. "Let's split, Winston."

Bob and his gang were thirty feet away, but were moving towards the two quickly.

Hannah sucked in a breath, ignoring the pain that followed. "Yeah, let's go."

The teenagers made it across the street before Hannah hit the ground. Curly looked backwards worriedly as the socs came closer. "What the fuck, Hannah?"

"I don't know! It's something with the..."

"You greasy little fuckers think it's funny to mess with my car?"

Hannah winced as Culry pulled her to her feet. "Yeah, that's why we did it."

Culry stifled a laugh. Now only seven feet away, Bob smiled menacingly.

"Well, as it turns out, me and buddies think it's funny to mess with greasy nobodies like you."

Curly reached for the knife in his back pocket, Hannah did the same. Surrounded by four angry teenagers, the odds were not in their favour.

Twelve blocks away, Dallas pushed away from Tim before looking around the empty street.

"What? Don't want anyone watching when I beat your ass," Tim joked, wiping the blood from his face. Dallas shook his head before kicking a nearby lamp post.

"What the shit, Hannah!"

Realizing that his brother had also vanished, Tim straightened his posture before hopping in the front seat of his T-Bird. "Let's go fuckface, those dumbasses are gonna get themselves killed if we don't find 'em."

The T-Bird pulled into the school parking lot just as a soc managed to pull Curly into a headlock. Hannah kept one hand wrapped around her abdomen and slashed her blade at the other socs slowly closing in on her.

Her eyes widened as Tim and her brother came into view. If these socs didn't kill her, Dallas definitely would. The destruction provided one soc with the opportunity of punching her in the cheek. Hannah fell to the ground, cutting the boy's leg in the process. It wasn't deep enough to do any damage, but deep enough to scare him off. His friends refused to follow him.

If you aren't scared of me, you'll wanna turn around.

Dallas wasted no time in punching, kicking, and grabbing at the socs cornering his sister. To her left, Tim was wrestling Curly out of Bob's grip. The socs seemed to get the hint after Tim pulled out his blade, and ran off.

Oh goodie, here's the lecture.

Dallas wrapped his hands around her shoulders and pulled Hannah to her feet. If his grip was any looser, she'd sink back to the gravel. Tim had the same death grip on his brother, who was currently massaging his bloody nose.

"What were you two shitheads thinking?"

"It was Hannah's idea," Curly croaked, sending a bloody smile her way.

"Don't bullshit me, Curls. I'm the one who taught you how to lie," Tim scolded.

As they bickered, it was Hannah's turn.

"You nearly died twelve fucking days ago, and you run off again? What the fuck were you thinking?" Dallas pushed her lightly. Her knees gave out as she leaned against the hood of a stranger's car, Dallas narrowed his eyes.

"I'm thinkin' something's wrong, 'cause I really don't feel good," she panted.

Tim and Curly crowded around her as she struggled to catch her breath.

"Lift up your shirt," Tim ordered. Curly stared at him, disgusted. "That isn't something you ask a girl in front of her brother-"

"Not like that dipshit, I just need to see the stitches."

Gritting her teeth, Hannah agreed. Tim chuckled.

"No wonder it hurts like a bitch, you tore your stitches."

Dallas pulled her back to her feet, this time keeping a strong grip on her shoulder. "What does that mean, dickhead?"

Tim motioned towards his car while Curly climbed into the back. "It means get into the car, and I'll fix them at my place."

With no better options, they limped towards the car.

"So, Hannah," Curly said casually. "If you don't end up dying, would you wanna go to the Dingo with me Friday night?"

Maybe it was the agonizing pain radiating through her body and messing with her mind, or maybe she just wanted to piss Dal off for yelling at her.

"Yeah Curls, that sounds nice. Pick me up at seven."
