In the classroom, Qu Xiao stood calmly on the podium. Under the scrutinizing gazes of her classmates, she was filled with confidence.
âHello, everyone. I hope we can all become good friends.â
Qu Qi, who was sitting in the front row, stared at her with jealousy and hatred as she forcefully broke the pencil in her hands.
Qu Qi suddenly said sarcastically, âThe student quota at our school is extremely limited. Students have gone through continuous screening tests and selections to enter. The only reason you were able to transfer to our school is because of your connections, right?â
When the students heard Qu Qiâs words, they all looked at Qu Xiao.
Qu Qi smirked as she stood up with her hands on the desk. She was particularly aggressive toward Qu Xiao, âYouâre so old. You can just go to university. Why are you so stubborn that you have to return to high school?â
âArenât you already married? Didnât you sell yourself to your husbandâs family?â
As soon as Qu Qi finished speaking, the male students in the classroom who were interested in Qu Xiao turned gloomy and disdainful.
The female students lowered their voices and started gossiping about Qu Xiao. They even began to slander her as a street girl.
All kinds of unpleasant words were thrown around. Qu Xiao still stood quietly in front and looked at Qu Qi with contempt, as if she was mocking her childishness.
Qu Qi continued to say angrily, âI heard that your husband is disabled? He canât even stand
up!â
âYouâre so young, but youâre already willing to sell yourself for money. Itâs embarrassing to be classmates with you.â
Qu Qi wanted to rally her fellow classmates who soon started laughing at Qu Xiao.
Qu Xiao lowered her eyes for a long while before a smile suddenly appeared on her face.
The Sun happened to shine through the window and landed on the side of her face.
The noisy classroom instantly quieted down as everyone admired Qu Xiaoâs beauty.
Qu Xiao looked at Qu Qi. Since Qu Qi openly mocked her, why shouldnât she do the same?
âQu Qi, I know you hate me, but you donât have to slander me like this. No matter what, Iâm still your sister.â
After Qu Xiao said that, all eyes fell on Qu Qi. Qu Qiâs face turned pale instantly. She clenched her fists, stood up abruptly, kicked the chair away, and shouted, âShut up!â
âBack then, our family wanted you or Qu Zhen to marry him. It was your mother who forced me to marry the one whom you call a cripple on behalf of you.â
âHe treats me very well, and Iâve never brought up all the bad things youâve done to me. I just wanted to be able to continue my studies. You canât even support me? Qu Qi, Iâve never thought of fighting with you for anything!â
Qu Xiao deliberately put on an aggrieved look as she spoke with a sobbing tone.
Her reddened eyes instantly aroused the desire of the male students to protect her.
Qu Qi was usually arrogant and domineering in school because of her family background. Naturally, there were many girls who hated her.
At this moment, a group of girls stood by Qu Xiaoâs side and supported her. âQu Qi! I didnât expect you to be such a heartless person! You even slandered your own sister?â
âYou seriously tried to manipulate us into isolating Qu Xiao?â
âWe wonât listen to your instigation, Qu Xiao! We welcome youâ¦ân/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
With just a few words, Qu Xiao instantly won the battle. She fiddled with the strands of hair on her forehead and threw a provocative look at Qu Qi.
During self-study time, Qu Xiao looked around the classroom and saw an empty seat in the corner of the last row. She carried her bag and walked over.
Seeing her actions, the students held their breaths and did not dare to speak.
Qu Qi, on the other hand, chuckled. She crossed her arms and waited to see what was going to happen. In the corner of the last row, a boy wearing a white shirt was sleeping on his desk. His facial features were beautiful and he was very handsome.
The name âZhou Ceâ was written on his book. Qu Xiao suddenly recalled the school bully whom Miss Zhang had mentioned to her. She said not to provoke him.
Qu Xiao naturally pulled out a chair.
When she wanted to sit down, she saw a few students who looked like thugs walking over and surrounding her.
âNewcomer, you canât sit here!â
âYou should sit somewhere else. Our boss doesnât like to sit with others!â
The boy raised his chin, his entire body exuding a ruffian aura.
Qu Xiao raised her eyes and glanced at the nameplate on his chest. Her voice was extremely light as she said, âYao En? Excuse me, please make way.â
âYouâre blocking me.â
After Qu Xiao said that, she directly sat down. She had no intention of sitting somewhere else.
