âThen, asking wangye to please properly hold tight, letting me one day be completely dead set on you.â As Jing Wan said this, she reached out and unconsciously caressed the back of Li Hong Yuanâs head.
After saying these words, she actually was a bit in a daze and lost in thought. She didnât know why she said these words. In this world where men were regarded as superior to women, married girls ought to view oneâs husband as the sky. Being dead set towards oneâs husband was all how it should be, and producing a second heart was something the heavens cannot tolerate. If found out, probably getting criticized by thousands of people was nothing too much.
To think that she actually said such words, and the target was even a prince, a qinwang that was standing at the peak of power, controlling the power of life and death. Women, in his eyes, perhaps really were less than even a set of clothes.
Jing Wan believed, although she wasnât living carefully and cautiously, as if walking on thin ice, the things she should pay attention to she will still pay attention to. And her speech and conduct, even if overstepping the bounds of whatâs proper, it was still in a controllable scope. Moreover, the target was always someone worth trusting, guaranteed to never leak out.
Could it be that this represented her trust towards him?
Trust, how simple of a word, but regardless whether it was giving to someone, or receiving from others, sometimes, it was very easy, but sometimes, it was very difficult. When it was easy, perhaps it was just in an instant, but when difficult, perhaps it canât be realized in an entire lifetime. Jing Wan reached out and covered her own eyes. As expected, she was also one that canât escape the secular world, and would also be hit by the bullet coated in the so-called âindulgence, pampering, and tendernessâ. Although having complete trust towards him was impossible right now, there was still twenty to thirty percent.
Jing Wan right now faintly understood that kind of madness and determination brought about after obtaining, and then getting mercilessly abandoned and betrayed. If my lord is heartless, then I shall cease, how simple was it to say, but if it really was that easy to achieve, then probably can only mean that one wasnât wholeheartedly devoted. Just like her right now, thinking that if in the future, this man were to promise her the days she wanted, but then ruthlessly destroy it, she wonât be that magnanimous as to let go, instead thinking if thereâs a way to kill him.
See, right now, towards him, she was just that bit moved, no longer blindly restraining herself to not be moved by him, yet she already was able to birth this kind of thinking, then what about those that have deeply fallen within? Or was it that, deep down in her bones, she was actually extremely crazy?
He naturally needed to hold firmly, to be in his hands at last, how could he give others the chance? While knowing her temperament, and knowing the ideal life she wanted, these all can let her lean towards another man. If thatâs the case, then he can directly slit his own throat and commit suicide.
Li Hong Yuan lifted his head, grasping her hand that was covering her eyes, moving it away. That flicker of ruthlessness made him slightly startled. Lowering his head, he lightly landed a kiss on her lips that still carried blood. âWhat are you thinking about?â
Jing Wan was probably also aware that her expression right now wasnât right, but she didnât hurriedly try to restrain it either. And the words she said just now, she also didnât think of explaining or justifying. Facing Li Hong Yuan, she tilted her head, suddenly smiling like a flower, âKilling someone.â
âOh?â Li Hong Yuan wasnât even surprised, let alone frightened, even engrossingly asking, âWho?â
âYou.â Jing Wanâs lips slightly parted, yet her words were clear.
Li Hong Yuan slightly furrowed his brows, his expression somewhat vexed, âWan Wan, how about we negotiate?â
âEn?â This man thinks sheâs joking, right? Hehehâ¦â¦â¦
(T/N: Plot twist, Jing Wan is actually the yandere of this novel, you all were all deceived lol, but jokes on her cuz LHY actually into that shit.)
âWhen you really want to take my life, just tell me, alright?â He probably knew under what circumstances would she want to take his life. For her to consider this problem now, it can be seen, it really was a good sign.
âIf said, will one still be able to kill? This kind of thing, isnât it doing when least expected and attacking when unprepared?â
âIâm your husband, and further someone of the imperial clan. Killing oneâs husband is a capital offense, and assassinating someone of the imperial clan will further implicate the entire Luo clan. Thatâs why, you doing it on your own isnât profitable. Tell me, Iâll help you, guarantee that the final outcome will make you satisfied, and wonât let you be implicated at all. Thatâs why, regardless of what, all need to hand over to someone whoâs proficient to do, and killing, this kind of thing, Iâm very good at.â
Jing Wan looked to him in slight disbelief, âDoes wangye really know what Iâm saying, what youâre saying?â
âMy ears are fine, my ability to comprehend also without a problem, and my mouth further without a problem. Wan Wan, you want my life, no problem, but thereâs a condition.â Li Hong Yuanâs finger pointed at where her heart was, âThis must be completely and entirely mine. Only by using your heart can you exchange for my life, understand?â
He wasnât like he was joking at all. Jing Wanâs breathing slowed, suddenly a bit scared, turning her body, like wanting to avoid the cage-like atmosphere, her gaze wandering, not daring to look directly at him. She somewhat forcibly tugged the corner of her mouth, âFor humans, if this heart is gone, wonât one also die, one life in exchange for another life, Iâm still the one at a loss.â
Li Hong Yuan lightly smiled, pinching Jing Wanâs chin, letting her look directly at him, âSince Wan Wan understands inside, yet wants to pretend to be confused, I also wonât force it. Just, these words of mine today, remember for the time being. Not just in this life, even if the next life, for every day you remember, it will be effective.â
Using the heart to exchange for the life. If you fall in love with him, and he betrays you, you can just take his life!
Making a promise that wasnât just for one lifetime.
It was very heavy, but also made one very much look forward to. Of course, Jing Wan really wasnât afraid she wasnât able to shoulder. Just, these words came from Jin Qinwangâs mouth, seemingly very much unreliable, but his attitude wasnât like he was joking.
Li Hong Yuan very much wanted to strike the iron while hot, letting her understand even more things, but in the end, he was afraid pressed too tightly, she would instead shrink back. He further heartached her frowning and troubled look. In any case, things werenât completely without progress. In reality, this development already exceeded his expectations. Her heart really wasnât as unsusceptible to change as heâd anticipated. However, even so, he didnât feel the journey in the future will become easier. He unhesitantly kissed her again, âIn the future, not allowed to meet those two, understand?â
All of her train of thoughts instantly dispersed into nothing. However, Jing Wan this while was unable to get angry either, just feeling helpless, âWithout rhyme or reason, why would I meet with them, donât randomly eat flying vinegar[1] and go crazy.â
Flying vinegar and whatnot, he didnât understand, but could still roughly guess the meaning. âEven if thereâs a reason, still canât meet. Donât think I donât know those two harbor sinister intentions towards you. If there really is something, wonât they just openly approach. Today, Chen Zheng Min didnât wait for imperial fatherâs summoning, and just came over after changing his clothes. If it really was an ordinary visit, was there a need to be in such a hurry? What his intentions were, practically just short of announcing to the world. Sun Yi Lin looks like a gentleman, but isnât a good thing eitherâ¦â¦â¦â¦.â
Seeing Li Hong Yuan with a pent-up look of wanting to kill them, Jing Wan felt very amused. Under the heavens, the one who didnât have the face to say others werenât good things the most was probably just you, Jin Qinwang. Also, this image of yours, truly subverting a bit too seriously. Seemingly also having that bit of childishness? If those that got very miserably sorted out by you were to see, would they produce the thought of âgetting sorted out by such a person, practically donât have the face to continue livingâ? Thinking to here, Jing Wan accidentally let out a âpffftâ laugh.
Li Hong Yuan face darkened into the bottom of a pot, and the vicious currents in his eyes were like as if they were about to solidify. He suddenly flipped over and got up, climbing down from the bed, pulling over his clothes, and started to put them on.
This seemingly was having really gotten angry. Jing Wan pondered for a moment. Was she being a bit too much? She quickly sat up, disregarding her disheveled hair and clothes, reaching out to grab him, âWangye, what are you planning to do?â
Li Hong Yuan turned to look at her, his eyes a sheet of ice, the killing intent brewing, âDo what? Slaughter them. This prince in the beginning, as expected, shouldnât haveâ¦â¦â¦â Shouldnât have facilitated their engagement with Wan Wan. He shouldâve directly requested his old man to bestow the marriage. Even if he didnât agree, still need to agree. At worse it was just kicking him off the throne, causing his brothers to fight over the position, setting off internal and external conflict, but so what? What did the world in peril have to do with him? It would save him from having his heart and liver ache right now, hating that he canât have them crushed into smithereens.
Although it wasnât directed at her, Jing Wan still couldnât help shivering, quickly getting up to stop him, âJust now, it was my fault, donât have human life not taken seriously. Ah Yuan, Ah Yuan, donât casually kill.â
Li Hong Yuanâs expression grew even colder, âYouâre pleading for them? Even using the address that you would only use on the bed?!â
Jing Wan wanted to curse. Donât twist her meaning like this. However, right now, if she doesnât have him nicely pacified, Jing Wan really was afraid tomorrow morning someone will come to their family to report bad news. âI didnât mean that, I was just feeling, if you just take their life like this without a reason, no matter how much your imperial father pampers you, heâll definitely still reproach you. And those brothers of yours, youâve also offended quite a few of, so at this time, theyâll definitely collectively rise in revolt. Also, itâs not easy for you to state the reason for killing them either. At least, canât tell the truth as is, else when time comes, Iâll end up at the heart of the storm. Ah Yuan, you also wonât be able to bear, right?â
âJust killing two people, would I even let others catch something against me? This prince isnât useless to that degree.â
Bastard, canât you talk properly? âIf you want to do something, then naturally thereâs nothing you canât accomplish. But speaking from another perspective, for better or worse, theyâre still considered talented youths. Leaving them to work for Qi Yuan like cows and horses is also not bad.â
âQi Yuan has several hundred thousand people, a handful of talented youths, having the two of them isnât much, and missing the two of them isnât lacking either.â
This was determined to kill them? To want to beat and kill in a moment of disagreement, was that still considered a normal person? This was adequately having an illness, and even the serious kind. Encountering such a ware, so tiring! âAh Yuan, right now, I donât have any relation with them at all, can you not be this narrow-minded alright?â
âIâm narrow-minded?â Li Hong Yuanâs voice suddenly raised a little, gloomily looking to Jing Wan, bitterly laughing, âSince Wan Wan already said it like this, then I might as well just have this title actualized.â He didnât even bother with his clothes anymore, directly turning to leave.
Jing Wan subconsciously reached out to hug his waist, just wanting to slap her own mouth. However, she also finally learned that this oneâs heart was narrow like the tip of a needle. In the future, still need to pay attention, and canât mention. âI misspoken, I misspoken, how can you be narrow-minded. If it really were like that, you certainly wouldâve long slaughtered them. Our Ah Yuan is the most magnanimous.â
âIâm not the least bit magnanimous. Youâre right, I really am narrow-minded.â
Jing Wan wanted to cry, who can come back her up? Towards this man, she really was at her witâs end. Never mind not coaxing him back, this was like the more she coaxed, the more fuel to the fire. What the hell.
Jing Wan raised her head, and he just lowered his head, looking directly at her. âNot going to say anymore? If youâre not going to say, then just let go.â
Jing Wan gritted her teeth and went all out, releasing her grip and rapidly embracing his neck, standing on her tiptoes, kissing him.
[1] Means getting jealous out of nowhere for no reason. This phrase originates from a contemporary short satirical play called âè¶æè¶è¥â (roughly translates to âGetting Fatter When Beatenâ). Itâs a modern phrase so ancient people wonât know it lol.
T/N: I feel like thereâs some irony in where Jing Wan talks about killing him in the beginning of the chapter, but then ends up here with convincing him not to kill lol.
