Playing Around (2)
They stayed at the estate for another two days, climbing the mountains, climbing trees, going into the water to catch fish, and eating quite a few fresh seasonal fruits.
And from beginning to end, Jing Wan all wasnât reserved, completely participating within. The âlittle crown princeâ was ecstatic, the smile on his face never once fading.
After coming out from the estate, the âlittle crown princeâ excitedly mentioned wanting to go to White Dragon Temple.
Jing Wanâs gaze slightly flickered. White Dragon Temple actually wasnât within her plans, but since her son wanted to go, she naturally wonât oppose. âOkay.â
âMother, I heard when âIâ was born, Grandmaster Liao Chen was was in the palace, and as soon as âIâ was born, he just blessed âmeâ, right?â
âEn, indeed like this. Thatâs why, your imperial father is actually dishonest about his feelings. He actually loves you very much.â Jing Wan said with a smile.
The âlittle crown princeâ knew that for Grandmaster Liao Chen to be in the palace at the time, it wasnât for âhisâ sake. It was certainly because of imperial mother, but this kind of thing, he wonât mind, and he also wonât expose imperial motherâs white lie. How he was born, his imperial father had told him before. But, regarding this current bodyâs birth, the specifics, he actually didnât know. He had the intention of asking around, but he didnât obtain any useful information. However, he still suspected that afraid it wasnât that smooth. Regardless of where, his birthdate was the exact same, so there will eventually be some unpleasant connections, and from his imperial fatherâs attitude towards the original host, one can make out a thing or two.
âDonât know whether or not Grandmaster Liao Chen is still here. If he is, then should go nicely thank him.â That old monk was incredible. When his imperial father passed away, he was still alive. However, Grandmaster Liao Chen was ultimately of mortal flesh and blood, so a year after he ascended the throne, grandmaster just passed away.
Was the âlittle crown princeâ worried that he will get seen through? Of course not, on the contrary, he actually hoped that the other party can make out something. Some things, he ultimately needed to face.
In reality, their luck was relatively good. Grandmaster Liao Chen hadnât gone on his travels, or perhaps should say, ever since the little crown prince was born, after meeting Li Hong Yuan for the last time, leaving the palace and returning to White Dragon Temple, he just never left White Dragon Temple again. Towards Jing Wan and the âlittle crown princeâsâ request to meet, he naturally wonât refuse. This had nothing to do with their status.
Grandmaster Liao Chen still appeared to be the same, very amiable. Towards being able to see the empress and the crown prince, he seemingly wasnât surprised at all.
The âlittle crown princeâ sat on the round praying mat next to Jing Wan, quietly listening to Jing Wan chat with Grandmaster Liao Chen. Looking at Grandmaster Liao Chen, his eyes were clear.
Jing Wan didnât really say much of anything to Grandmaster Liao Chen, sounding to be just some trivial talk. Just, she would occasionally turn her head, glancing at her own son, her eyes containing hidden worry.
Prior to leaving, Grandmaster Liao Chen chanted a prayer, âYour Highness harbors the world in oneâs heart, fondly keeping all living being in mind, continuously extending the good fortune, it is of great benevolence.â
âMany thanks grandmaster.â Jing Wan said with a smile.
Jing Wanâs fate right now, Grandmaster Liao Chen was actually able to see clearly, it is a blessing to the world.
âYour Highnessâs son, having your Highnessâs protection, will also have great fortune. Your Highness can relax your mind.â
TN: All
Jing Wanâs heart jolted, âMany thanks grandmaster.â
As for the âlittle crown princeâ, he looked to Grandmaster Liao Chen with an innocent look, âGrandmasterâs meaning is that I will also have a younger brother or sister?â
Grandmaster Liao Chen extended his hand, stroking the top of the âlittle crown princeâsâ head, âChildren depend on fate, and the parents, similarly depend on fate. The past lifeâs regret making up in this life, and this lifeâs fate perhaps will continue in the next life.â
The âlittle crown princeâ nodded his head, âAlthough I donât understand too well, but since itâs said by grandmaster, then it should have its reasoning.â However, did he really not understand?
Jing Wan bid farewell with the âlittle crown princeâ, but they still stayed a night at White Dragon Temple, using the former Jin Qinwang courtyard, having all the peach blossom wine that was once buried there all dug out. Ever since getting married with Jing Wan, Li Hong Yuan didnât come here anymore to pick peach blossoms to make wine. The ones from past years were practically left untouched, so the amount was relatively considerable. The lowest year count was already about ten years, the flavor quite good.
Jing Wan ordered someone to have the wine sent back to the capital ahead of them. Just, when Jing Wan was leaving White Dragon Temple, just as they descended the mountain, White Dragon Temple sounded its bell. That was the bell for when a highly prestigious monk passed away in the temple. Hearing that distant bell sound, the âlittle crown princeâ was full of shock, âImperial mother!â
How can it be, didnât Grandmaster Liao Chen still have another ten or so years left of his life? âImperial mother, itâs someone else, not Grandmaster Liao Chen, right? Imperial motherâ¦â
Jing Wan lowered her head, lightly stroking her sonâs head, âTian Lin, grandmaster, he already knew. He doesnât have any regrets.â
The âlittle crown princeâ opened his mouth, but ultimately didnât say anything else. A moment later, âImperial mother, then do we need to go back?â
âNo need, grandmaster perhaps doesnât want us to see him off. Donât worry, this matter will very quickly pass back to the capital. Your imperial father will send people over.â
âUnderstood, Iâll listen to imperial mother.â Just now, he was just shocked because of Grandmaster Liao Chen passing away that many years early. But, after contemplating, that old monk was already way over a hundred. As for exactly how many years over a hundred, this was still an unknown number. Ten or so years, for him, perhaps really wasnât anything.
âWhere else does Tian Lin want to go? But as you know, canât go too far from the capital.â
âThen, imperial mother, letâs go to Mount Xiang Imperial Residence, go see, imperialâgrandâfatherâ-â
The âlittle crown princeâ playfully said. Just, the last three words seemingly had that bit of a peculiar meaning. âImperial grandfather, because his body is unwell, is recuperating in Mount Xiang Imperial Residence. Originally, we shouldnât go disturb, but ever since this son was born, this son has never met before. Now that thereâs the opportunity, we should go pay him a visit.â Let him see, what this person that got chopped up by his other imperial father, and got âimprisonedâ by this imperial father, was like. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
The Retired Emperor, Le Cheng Emperor, was still alive to this day. This indeed was somewhat surprising. However, for someone like him, being alive was actually no different from being dead. Everything else aside, just go ask in the capital, see how many people can still remember him. Of course, the ones that should remember will still remember. Jing Wan also didnât cut Mount Xiang Imperial Residenceâs expenses every year, just donât know how much was actually used on the Retired Emperor.
Jing Wan lowered her head, meeting her sonâs pure and innocent gaze, seemingly as if he really just wanted to meet his grandfather that heâd never seen before. Her son, in some areas, really was very much like his imperial father. âAlright, anything you want.â
The people by their side all thought that they were going to return to the palace. Now that there was a change of plans, it couldnât be helped, can only once again pass back the message.
Mount Xiang Imperial Residence although didnât get renovated much, it was ultimately an imperial residence. The most impressive was still the palace that the Retired Emperor resided in, appearing quite extravagant.
Hearing the crown princeâs arrivalââJing Wan didnât come, everyone all hurriedly kneeled down to welcome.
The âlittle crown princeâ didnât pay them any attention, taking the bodyguard that came out from the dark, directly heading for the target.
And Jing Wan pondered, donât know how her son will have his grandfather angered to death. Itâs best if he doesnât just die in one stroke.
T/N: Iâve always felt that for Grandmaster Liao Chen to live an extra ten or so years in the past life, it was purely because of Li Hong Yuan, so it would make sense he would pass away in the past life after Li Hong Yuan died and Li Tian Lin ascended the throne. After all, the one thing Grandmaster Liao Chen worried the most was Li Hong Yuan bringing disaster to the world. In this life, Li Hong Yuan has Jing Wan, so thereâs nothing left for Grandmaster Liao Chen to worry about, and he was probably waiting to meet the âlittle crown princeâ.
