Chapter 23 Si Jingyun’s Boundless Charm

When Lu Jinqi said this, their expressions faltered. Why was everyone unconsciously clenching their teeth?

On the contrary, Si Jingyun’s eyes blinked several times for a moment, then his gaze seemed to be filled with joy. He fixed his gaze on Lu Jinqi and said in a low voice, “Jinny, don’t tease me like that.”

Qi Ye simply could not bear to watch this scene any longer and turned around. ‘Master Jing, can you wipe that expression off your face?’

Lu Jinqi’s heart skipped a beat, and her tone was casual as she emphasized the last word. “Is this considered flirting to you? It wasn’t like that before though, brother.”

Hearing this, Si Jingyun could not help but laugh. This child was quite vengeful.

On one side, Xiao Yao, who was starving, rolled his eyes when he saw the two of them interact with each other.

“Anyways, Jinqi, where are we going to eat?”

“What do you guys feel like eating?” Lu Jinqi looked around and asked.

Hearing this, Xiao Yao patted Wen Yu and Xie Shuyao, and the three of them huddled together and muttered. After a long while, Xiao Yao crossed his hands behind his back and cleared his throat. “The three of us have just decided… We want to eat barbecue.”

“Barbecue?” Lu Jinqi frowned and imagined the scene of the person sitting next to her at the barbecue place.

“Yes, we want barbecue.” Xie Shuyao and Wen Yu nodded vigorously. “The restaurant we ate at last time was really good.”

Actually, the taste was one thing, but the other was that they hoped these three men would not enjoy eating that kind of food. At the thought of this, the two boys chuckled. However, they did not expect one of them to quickly agree to this suggestion.

“Really? I love barbecue? Where are we going? Which restaurant is it? Hurry up, let’s go, let’s go!” Qi Ye walked over cheerfully and urged them.

Xiao Yao and the other two were dumbfounded. Why was this different from what they had imagined?

Xie Shuyao looked at him suspiciously. “If I recall, you didn’t like barbecue, right?”

How could they not see through what these kids were planning? They were really childish.

“Xiao Yao, address,” Lu Jinqi said succinctly.

Ten minutes later, a small group arrived at the small barbecue shop and found a table.

The long legs of Si Jingyun and the other two men made Xie Shuyao laugh maniacally. “Hey, you guys should cut your legs off, that way, you’ll probably have more space to sit comfortably.”

Xie Lingchuan raised his hand and aggressively patted her head. “Shut up.”

Feeling her brother’s warning, Xie Shuyao obediently shut up and sat at the side, rubbing her head.

The boss held the menu in his hand and looked at the odd bunch, not knowing what to do. He carefully said, “What would you like to eat?”

Xiao Yao did not even look at the menu and quickly said, “Hundred skewers, fifty prawns, twenty servings of small yellow croakers, a bowl of rice to eat, and two beer towers.” “Okay, the food will be served shortly.” The boss was smiling so much that he could not close his mouth. He did not look nervous at all.

The other girl customers at the next table were looking at them excitedly.

“This is the first time I’ve seen a handsome man in a suit eating in a small barbecue shop.”

“Right, I don’t think this shop suits their temperament at all.”

“You only see handsome men? Didn’t you notice that beautiful lady as well?”

“Yes, we’re both girls. I’m not blind, I see her too.”

The few of them discussed in hushed tones. Only one girl was particularly quiet. The customers on the same table looked at her strangely. They saw that her face was flushed with a tinge of pink and her eyes were shining as she stared at a certain spot.

If they looked in the same direction, they would see she was admiring the most handsome man they have ever seen.

“Xiaoyu, stop staring. Hurry up and eat your food.” Her friend tugged at her sleeve, indicating for her to come back to her senses.

That man was obviously not to be trifled with.

The girl named Xiaoyu ignored her friend beside her and stared at Si Jingyun in a loving daze.

‘This man’s entire fit looks expensive. If I became his girlfriend, I would be able to leave my current life and live like a queen.’

The thoughts in her heart grew wantonly. She could not help but stand up and slowly walk over.

“Xiaoyu,” the girl beside her pulled her away and could not help but shout.

However, her mind was filled with Si Jingyun, how could she listen to her friend calling her back.

So, under everyone’s gaze, she stood beside Si Jingyun.

She bent down slightly and tucked her hair behind her ears, revealing a smile that she thought was very beautiful. “Hi, can I have your number?”

Si Jingyun acted as though he did not hear her, reaching out to remove the wine glass in front of Lu Jinqi and replacing it with plain water.

“Jinny, drinking alcohol will affect your growth.”

Lu Jinqi turned her head and saw his smiling eyes. She could not help but twitch her lips. There was really no way to refute this reason.

Seeing Lu Jinqi being defeated, Xie Shuyao and the others snickered to themselves.

Xiaoyu saw that the man was ignoring her, and her expression instantly turned ugly. She persevered and asked, “Can I?”

“Hey you…” Xie Shuyao said. She looked at her from head to toe. “Don’t you have the least bit of self-restraint?” Before the other girlcould say anything, she continued, “Didn’t your parents teach you to not simply give your number to strangers? If you start doing that, your parents might regret ever having you.” Then, the entire shop turned silent as everyone looked at them quietly.

Xiaoyu’s face turned pale. Her body trembled as she looked at the man with tears in her eyes.

“I don’t do that. Is it wrong to admire someone else’s good looks?”

Things were beginning to get out of hand. Xie Shuyao put down the things in her hands and stood up.

“Are you sure you admire his good looks instead of how rich he looks? I’ve seen many girls like you. You don’t want to work hard and just want to hook up with a rich man. Where’s your sense of shame?

“You’re a student, right? Then you should know how to spell and define shame.”

Xiaoyu was rendered speechless by Xie Shuyao’s jabs. She could now guess that the others on the table must be looking at her with ridicule and disdain.

“Who are you? What right do you have to reject him on his behalf?” Xiaoyu questioned, clearly having gone too far to go back.

Xie Shuyao’s eyes were cold, and there was no expression on her face. “I’m his sister. How can someone like you treat my brother like that? What wicked plans do you have here?!”

‘I’m not letting anyone else ruin my well crafted ship.

‘I’ll prevent anyone from affecting Qiqi’s relationship with Master Jing.’ “Xiaoyao, sit down,” Lu Jinqi’s unhurried voice rang out. Xie Shuyao sat down obediently and smiled at Lu Jinqi.

She did not look like she had just insulted someone.

The girl did not expect this to happen, so she could only place her hopes on Si Jingyun. She choked on her words as she looked at him with puppy eyes. “Do you think so too?”

Si Jingyun narrowed his eyes and only said one word. “Scram.”

The girl’s face was filled with disbelief, and in the end, she ran away with tears in her eyes.

When the girls who were with her saw this, they gave Lu Jinqi and the others an embarrassed smile and chased after her. Even though they agreed with what Xie Shuyao said, they would not dare tell their crying friend. Xiaoyu was too embarrassed to listen after that happened.

After they left, the shop returned to its usual lively state, as though nothing had happened.

Lu Jinqi’s slender hands supported her face as a smile appeared on her lips. “Your charm is boundless!”
