Yasmin was having breakfast downstairs when Erik suddenly came and sat across from her.
He muttered, âIâm sorry!â
Recalling the incident, she looked at him and said, âYou were the one who pushed me down the
slope, right?â
âYeah. Why else would I apologize to you?â Erikâs face darkened a
little.
Yasmin smiled. âSince youâre not sincere, why bother apologizing?â
As she spoke, she sensed Erikâs icy demeanor intensifying, his gaze turning even sharper.
âYesterday, I just wanted to scare you. I didnât really intend to push you down. It was my fault.â
She stirred her coffee leisurely and replied, âIâm fine. Itâs Blake who got injured.â
âBlake told me to apologize to `you,â said Erik unwillingly.
If it werenât for Blakeâs insistence, he would not have come.
Yasmin paused in her actions. So, it was Blake who had asked Erik to apologize to her. She took a
sip of her coffee, not showing her emotions, but there was a slight fluctuation in her eyes.
Erik suddenly said, âBut donât think I consider you inferior just because I apologized to you.â
She laughed. âI never thought it that way.â
âIt was my fault for causing Blake harm, so Iâll be here to look after
him in these few days. As for you, restrain yourself. Donât think that youâre allowed to seduce him
just because youâre living together.â
Erik thought Yasmin was the one seducing Blake, contributing to the incident upstairs.
Almost spitting out her coffee, she looked at him and asked, âWhat are you imagining?â
It was Blake who had started it just now.
âHmph! Iâve seen many women like you. You just want to take advantage of Blake by seducing him,
donât you? Donât take me for a fool,â Ärik snorted.
Yasminâs expression turned cold. âDo you have any evidence?â
âWhat evidence do I even need? Havenât the Starr family been thinking this way for years?â said
Erik arrogantly. âI heard that your uncle, Victor, has been spreading the word outside, claiming that
Blake is his nephew-in-law and using his name to get projects.â
On this point, Yasmin had no way to refute. After her father went to prison, Victor became the head
of the company. Due to the many difficulties caused by the companyâs heavy debts, he used Blakeâs
name to do business.
That was also why Victor desperately wanted Yasmin to please Blake. Perhaps because Victor was
making money outside using Blakeâs name, people thought she was a gold digger.
Although she hadnât done anything, she could not deny that fact because it was all true. She
remained silent, not uttering a word.
Thinking that she was feeling guilty, Erik sneered. âYouâd better stay put. If I see you trying to
seduce Blake again, I wonât let you off.â
Yasmin did not know what else to say, so she could only sigh. After finishing her meal, she went
back upstairs to work on her sketches.
Many high-level executives from the group came bringing documents to Oak Garden to discuss
matters with Blake. Even with a fractured bone, he would not delay work. He was truly a
workaholic.
Yasmin painted the whole morning. Her phone rang when she was just about to take an afternoon
nap.
âWhereâs my breakfast?â Blake asked her over the phone.
âWhat breakfast?â she replied in a daze.
âDidnât you say this morning that you would bring me food? Itâs been several hours,â he reminded
her.
Only then did Yasmin remember. She asked, âHavenât you eaten anything until now?â
She checked the time. It was already 3:00 pm.
âIâve been busy until now. Nobody brought me any food,â he said calmly.
Surprised, she asked, âWhat happened? Didnât Mary bring you lunch?â
