Yasmin looked surprised. âWhat are you doing? Donât you have a serious case of
germaphobia? I made these rice balls myself. My hands were all over them.â Saying this, she
intentionally opened her hands to gross him out.
Unexpectedly, Blake only paused for a short while and then ate the rice ball with an
expressionless face. âNot bad.â
Yasmin was completely dumbfounded.
Seeing her bewildered, Blake chuckled and asked casually, âIs your hand getting better now? You
can make rice balls?â
âI just sprained it a bit. Itâs not like itâs broken. A day or two of rest, and Iâll be fine.â Yasmin lifted her
hand, and the swelling had eased considerably. She felt almost back to normal.
Blake ate another rice ball and took a sip of her mutton soup.
Yasmin exclaimed, âHey, donât eat my dinner. Thereâs some soup left. If you want some, get it
yourself. Mary made a big pot.â
Blake said, âLadle the soup for me.â
Yasmin refused. âNo way.â
âIâll take this one then.â Blake directly took her bowl.
âHey!â Expressing dissatisfaction, Yasmin frowned and reached out to grab the bowl. However,
Blake already tilted his head back and finished the entire bowl of soup.
Yasmin fell speechless. âAre you seriously that hungry?â
Seeing her bristling with anger, Blake could not help but laugh.
âWhatâs so funny?â Yasmin muttered as she went to get another bowl and ladle some soup.
Blake suddenly asked, âIs there really something going on between you and Ivan Burke?â
âSomething going on?â Yasmin sipped the soup puzzledly.
âAre you really into him? Or are you just playing me?â He seemed to have the patience to
have a heartâtoâheart conversation with her for once.
Yasmin paused and looked at him. She said seriously, âItâs true. I really want to find someone I like
again.â
Baleâs expression grew colder. âSo, you donât love the last one anymore?â
âWhy would I love someone if the relationship has no result?â Yasmin took another sip of the soup
as her tone remained calm. Seemingly, she was indifferent to everything
âI knew it. People like you are always so fickle.â Blakeâs expression turned cold.
Yasmin was puzzled. âWhat do you mean âpeople like youâ? What kind of person am I?â
Blake did not answer her. He put down his bowl and walked away as his bearing became very
gloomy.
Yasmin thought he was really unreasonable. He said that he would never love her. Now, she was
not in love with him anymore, and he blamed her for being fickle instead.
Yasmin snorted. He should have blamed himself for being a scumbag and ruining a good marriage
by having an affair! Destroying the family by himself, he even had the nerve to blame her.
Yasminâs mood went sour again. She bit into a rice ball fiercely and intentionally sent him a
message on WhatsApp. âMr. Ford, be careful with your stomach tonight.â
Blake: â?â
Yasmin: âI just remembered something. When I returned tonight, I mightâve forgotten to wash my
hands before making those rice balls. So⦠if you feel a stomach ache, it might be food poisoning.â
Blake saw the message upstairs and exclaimed angrily, âYasmin Starr!â
Yasmin heard his roar downstairs and burst into laughter. He deserved it!
Actually, her hands were clean. She just wanted to get back at him for always messing with her
emotions and then left. At the same time, she wanted him to get a taste of his own medicine!
Tonight, Yasmin stayed in the guest room again. After her bath, she sat on the bed in her
nightgown. She heard a knock at the door when she was about to lie dowIL
She asked cautiously, âWhoâs that?â
âItâs me.â Blakeâs voice came from the outside of the door.
Yasmin got out of the bed and opened the door in her nightgown. âMr. Ford, whatâs the matter?â
Blake stood outside, clutching his stomach. He looked a bit pale. âThose rice balls tonight might be
dirty. My stomach hurts. Can you get me some medicine?â
