Baleâs rage was now evident on his face. He chuckled coldly and said, âYou want to cheat on me,
donât you?â
You also cheated on me. Furthermore, if I didnât give you permission, would you things off with
Giselle?â she said, smiling happily.
Blakeâs eyes froze over. âNot a chance.â
Yasmin already knew that he wouldnât end things with Giselle.

Thus, she spread her hands. âSee? You two got together and made him suffer alone. Do you think
thatâs fair? Nonetheless, I got over it. Since you donât love me, then you can go be with the one you
like.
âHowever, I still need an angel to soothe my soul, so donât stop me. We can find our own
happiness, and we donât have to fight at home anymore. Isnât that a good thing?â
As he listened to what she said, his gaze darkened. He suddenly grabbed her hand and said darkly,
âDonât you dare.â
Yasmin jumped in fright. He had grabbed her swollen left hand. She frowned in pain. âYouâre hurting
me.â
Only then did Blake realize that her wrist was swollen. He asked with furrowed brows, âYou were the
one who got hurt tonight?â
He just remembered what Giselle had told him. She had bumped into Yasmin and Ivan at the
hospital.
âYes, I was in a car accident.â Yasmin gasped in pain.
Blake quickly let her go. Instead, he took her other hand and walked out of the dining hall.
Yasmin said, âIâm not done eating.â
âYour hand is already in this state, and you still want to eat? You need medicine on it first.â
âNo, I want to eat first. After that, Iâll go upstairs to apply some medicine. I wonât have to come
downstairs again,â Yasmin insisted.
Blakeâs expression darkened. âWait,â he uttered.

and held her hand again. âLetâs go upstairs.â
He was bringing the soup upstairs, too.
Yasmin couldnât argue further, so she followed him upstairs.
Blake put the soup down on the dresser. âDrink it here.â
With that, he went to find the first aid kit. He then began to apply some ointment to her hand. âHow
did the accident happen? How did you hurt your hand?â
âI was rearâended by two drunkards. They were drunk out of their minds and even tried to beat me
up.â
Blake looked at her. âWhy didnât you call me?â
âThat wasnât necessary. In case you were with Giselle, I didnât want to disturb you. I was going to
call the police, but Mr. Burke came in time. His bodyguards helped me take care of them. Heâs a
pretty nice guy.â Yasmin took the chance to praise Ivan.
Blakeâs eyes turned cool. He put down her wrist. âWhat the hell are you doing? Arenât you done
playing tricks?â
He thought that this was her new scheme.
He always thought that she was trying to get his attention.
Perhaps he didnât trust her anymore because she would frequently call him and lie about being in
trouble back then.
Yasmin said quietly, âNo, Blake, Iâm not tricking you. Iâve gotten over it and accepted reality. So, I
want to find someone I like.â
âSomeone you like?â He chuckled coldly. âDoes that mean hiding the fact that youâre married and
going on blind dates?â
Yasmin lowered her eyes. âI will tell him next time.â
Blake grabbed her chin.
Hei
He lifted her face and stared at her with dark eyes.
Yasminâs breath stopped. He was leaning so close that their lips were inches away. She could hear
his breaths.
She subconsciously stepped backward, but the bed was behind her. If she backed away anymore,
she would have to sit down. Therefore, she could only meet his gaze directly.
He squinted at her with a dangerous expression. âYouâre still thinking of a next time?â
