The Oak Garden was located in the mountains. Without a car, it was very inconvenient to go
anywhere.
Blake gazed at Yasmin. She looked kind, cute, and freshâfaced as she stood before him, just like
during those days they had spent together.
He contemplated it. Deciding that she was most likely tired of asking him for a divorce and was
being sincere, he said, âThat car was always yours.â
Yasmin nodded with a smile. âThen Iâll be leaving now. Oh, right. When you see Giselle, remember
to get her some flowers. Girls love flowers. It would make her happy.â
With that, she left the dining hall.
Blakeâs spoon froze in midâair. He looked up at her, but she was already gone. She seemed
genuinely happy, and it didnât seem like she was being cynical at all.
Yet, it made him feel uncomfortable. He felt something niggling at his heart, and it wasnât a pleasant
feeling.
Yasmin went to her studio and spent the entire day drawing.
Eunice came upstairs with her phone in her hand. Frowning, she said, âYaz, look! Those lowlife
lovebirds are in the news again!â
Yasmin glanced at it. It was a photo of Blake taking Giselle to the hospital.
She chuckled. âWho cares?â
Right now, she badly wished that they were together. Then, she would be free.
âYou donât care about them at all now?â Eunice looked at her.
Yasmin continued drawing. âNo. Iâll just quietly wait for the divorce,â she said indifferently.
âHe agreed?â
âNot yet, but Iâm sure heâll agree after some time.â Yasmin thought of something and continued,
âEunice, I may have to stay at the Oak Garden for some time. Could you have the luggage I kept at
your place delivered back to me tonight?â
If she didnât go home, Blake would keep causing issues. She might as well continue living there and
treat it as a free place to stay. Sheâd save money on rent!
âYou still want to live with him? Yaz, are you alright?â
âDonât worry. Iâm not treating him as my husband right now. Just as my father suggested, Iâll treat
him like a stranger. Once I settle things, I should be able to get a divorce.â
âAre you planning something major?â
âSomething like that.â Yasmin quirked her lip. âDonât worry about me. Iâve gotten over this marriage.
Iâm not going to be blinded by love anymore.â
Eunice felt more at ease seeing Yasmin like this. âOnce you get your freedom back, Iâll take you out
to celebrate. However, youâre going to get divorced while Iâm stepping into the grave called
marriage. I donât even know if marriage is a good thing or not.â
âDo you love Colin?â Yasmin asked her.
âYeah!â Euniceâs eyes lit up. âHe treats me really well.
âThatâs good. Some people do have blissful marriages, although they are in the minority. You have
to rely on yourself to keep it going.â Yasmin was married for two years. She knew a little bit about
being married.
Eunice nodded. âYes.â
âMs. Salle, Mr. Gray sent you these flowers.â Her assistant handed a huge bouquet of roses
to her.
She peeked at the card below and broke into a smile. She told Yasmin, âColin is asking me out to
dinner at a fine dining restaurant, followed by a movie. Iâll get going now.â
âHave fun.â Yasmin gripped her pencil and watched Eunice go
downstairs.
This was how a real date should progressâit should start with flowers, then a dinner date, and finally
a movie. It was completely opposite from hers. She never enjoyed these moments with Blake and
got married too quickly. In the end, they couldnât stand looking at each other.
Her phone buzzed on the table.
She picked it up and saw that it was a text from Annalise. âYasmin, 7:00 pm tonight, Room 206 at
the Maple Tower, with Mr. Burke.â
