Something is really up with Akito. He's shutting me out and I don't know what I did. It's getting on my nerves a little, if you ask me. It's as if he expects me to fix his issue yet I have no idea what I damn did.
He actually looks really ill. His lips are pale and he has eyebags. I haven't stopped thinking about him not eating breakfast or lunch. I want to talk to him about it, but I'm scared that I did something wrong to mess us up, and that I'm the last person he wants to see right now.
Hana slips her hand into mine and I look to the right of me and smile. She stops and I come to a halt just after her.
She pulls me back and nears our faces together. I blush a little, before her hand positions on my cheek as she pulls me down and gently kisses me. I pull away and smile, and she laughs a little, tucking her hair behind her ear before she walks away back to her friends.
I watch her laugh a little, and I hear an excited 'I did it!!' amongst the chatter. I smile, amused. I watch Akito walk from one of the private bathrooms up ahead. He doesn't realise I'm here.
He looks.. awful. What happened..?
I run up to him and tap his shoulder, wishing him to just tell me his thoughts and feelings.
"Akito, what happened? You look really ill." I frown, concerned. To my surprise, he glares at me and shoves my hand off his shoulder.
"I'm good." He nodded, then walked off.
"Akito-" I consider walking after him, but I know that he needs time to himself. I stand for a moment, confused and nervous. I don't know if I messed something up in between us. I don't know why, what, or when it happened, but he won't tell me.
I walk home, my hands shaking a little as I walk through the front door. I take my shoes off and put them in the porch.
"I'm home, father." I say quietly, walking into the dining room where he was sat, eating some food from a plate.
"Speak up." He spat. I flinched immeditely and took a step back. I panic, biting my nails.
"Im sorry. I will next time." I say it louder, treading carefully with my choice of words, cautious not to say something out of line.
"Mhm." He squints. I breathe out quietly and try to walk past him to go to my room.
"Toya, where do you think you're going?" My dad spun around and I stopped dead. I think I just threw up in my mouth.
"U-Um." I stammer, my words failing as I turn around slowly.
"To my room.." I replied hesitantly.
"'Kay." He sits back down to watch his TV show that he's invested in. I sigh in relief and go upstairs, sitting on my bed. Akito messages me- which is
the last thing I expected to happen.

Ohh, that solves everything. He just felt a bit ill. I know that he feels down when he's sick.
T(okay, i hope u feel better)

I put my phone down, breathing out because I have the reassurance that Akito is okay. I sit up and go to my computer, opening up the music track I was working on. I've been really trying to get better at composing music myself, maybe so I can make my own peices, or to help An and Akito with it.
I'm pretty sure Kohane is trying to learn as well. I'll ask how she's going.

"Are you feeling any better?" My mum walked in, checking up on me. I sit up on my bed as she approaches. She goes to uncover me a little but I panic and yank the covers back over myself, covering my arms.
"What was that about?" She squints at me, her hands on her hips.
"Um, nothing. I'm just.. cold." I reply, avoiding her burning gaze. I cough again into my hand, covered by the quilt. I'll admit, it's pretty nasty. It hurts my chest a lot too.
"Akito, that's a really chesty cough. I'm going to take you to the doctors to see if it's an infection. Usually I'd leave it a few days but.. it seems pretty damn bad." She said evenly, and I nod, agreeing.
"Okay, I'll meet you in the car. Take no less than 5 minutes. I cant be bothered to wait more." My mum ordered, and I tell her I'll be out soon. She leaves my room and I get up, stabilising myself when I stumble slightly.
I put on some random clothes I found- black joggers and a navy blue oversized jumper, before I take my phone into my pocket and put my headphones around my neck, heading out.
I rest my head against the window in the car, watching houses and trees blur past.
My mother grabs my hand and takes me in, while I zone out, not listening to what people are telling me. A doctor takes me in and sets me down on a bed, before inspecting over my chest and listening to my heartbeat and measuring my blood pressure.
I watched his face drop at god knows what he found.
"Is something... wrong?" I frown, slightly worried at the shocked expression his happy face has morphed into.
"Yes. There is. Are both of you aware of what Hanahaki disease is?" The doctor blinked at me and my mum. I haven't got a single clue as to what that could begin to mean.
"No.." My mum shakes her head, evidently confused and concerned. Neither of us know what's happening or what's going to happen. It sounds pretty bad just by hearing the name.
"Hanahaki disease is formed from.. unrequited love. A flower grows in the victims chest and springs through their throat into their mouth, cutting off breath until suffocation resulting in death. You'll start to cough up petals, then blood alongside it, and whole flowers to follow up. The only way to fix this is to either confess to the person and they must love you back, or to get surgery, in which all memory of that person is wiped in the process." The doctor explained everything in a gut-wrenching paragraph. I would usually have a lot of questions circling through my head, but my thoughts have gone completely silent.
That is, except for 4 words.
That person is Toya.
