Rule 16: Don't let the opponent bring your friends down

Two days had passed since my encounted with Sebastian, and Blaine, Sam and I were no closer to thinking of ways to take back our trophy. We didn't want Blaine to leave New Directions for the Warblers, he was too good for their trash. And in this world, I've learned that whatever light you got saved, you have to SAVE it.

But I didn't understand how bad things were getting for Blaine until I walked in on him alone in the practice room one afternoon.

"Hey, whatcha doing?" I asked.

"Thinking," he replied.

"About the Warblers, right?" I asked. He nodded slowly, "Blaine, don't worry about them, seriously. We're going to shove their asses off a cliff when we're done with them," I replied.

"What did you think of me when you first met me?" Woah, that came out of no where.

"Excuse me?"

"When we first met, around this time last year. What did you think of me?" he asked again.

"I thought that we were incredibly lucky to have such an amazing singer join our team. We love you on New Directions, Blaine," I replied.

"I'm sorry, I've just had a lot bothering me lately," he said.

"You know, there's something else bothering me, too. I want to know why you paused when I asked you the other day: who did you talk and what the hell happened in that damn library?" I said.

"Nothing much, I mean I talked to the new head captain and I sang with Warblers and-"

"Hey, hey, hey! Hold your bow tied horses, there. You... you sang with the Warblers?" I asked.

"Yeah?" that came out more like a sheepish question than an honest answer.

"Blaine!"

"It just happened, alright? They embraced me like a brother. It was like in X-Men two, when Pyro left the X-Men to join Magneto's brotherhood. It just felt right," what?

"... Okay, I don't know what you just said, but I'm calling BS! I was gone for five minutes! You sang an entire song and was embraced by a bunch of robots for five mi -- oh no," looks like I've been duped too.

"What?" Blaine asked.

"I got played! Smythe distracted me. I wasn't gone for five minutes. It's like when I got locked in the storage locker with him, it felt like we were in there for close to thirty minutes, when it was actually two hours. The moron played me so his boss could manipulate you!" I replied.

"Wait... you got locked in a storage locker with him? When?" he asked. Oh, for God sakes!

"That is another story I will not be telling around this camp fire today! Dude! Listen to me. Those Warbler idiots were trying to control you. They know that you and Kurt broke up and they know damn well that you're in a fragile state right now, and they're using that against you!" I exclaimed.

"I know but it just..."

"It just what?!"

"It just felt... right. Like-like... like I belong there." he said. Oh no.

"No, alright no. Absotively not! You belong at McKinely! Alright? You belong with New Directions!" I exclaimed. Blaine just shook his head and started pacing.

"Listen, does this decision your conjuring up by chance have anything to do with Kurt?" I asked.

"Everything in this room reminds me of him!" he suddenly exclaimed, "We were... a dynamic duo in here! Kurt was my anchor, and I was his! At least I thought he was..." then he started crying.

"Oh, Blaine... come here," I wrapped my arms around him in a hug.

"He's gone now and I just... I just feel like I'm floating," he sniffled, then he pulled away from me and slumped into a chair.

"And Finn... Finn needs a team that'll gel," he added.

"Yes, a team that will gel; not like that loads that Smythe puts in his hair. But you see Blaine, that's just the thing! You're the biggest part of that gel! Don't you get it? The reason I never went after Sebastian with a hammer or... or-or an AK was because I knew you'd be disappointed as this team would be falling apart!" I said as I knelt down in front of him.

"I'm sorry Reese but... the Warblers are my birthright," was he serious?

"Oh, for God sakes," I mumbled.

"Don't say that!" he shouted at me.

"Then stop talking like a crazy person! I think you're having the same problem has Smythe, I think all the gel your putting in your hair is messing with your brain!" I shouted. Blaine sighed and just sat there all quiet, I knew I had crossed a line there.

"Look, I'm sorry, okay? But this anonymous asshole is really annoying and what's even more annoying is that I don't even know who he is. But I promise you, a day is coming where I'm going to meet this douchebag and give him a piece of Reese Revangché Lavek's mind," I said.

"Revangché?" he asked. Seriously.

"Revenge! Revenge! Revenge! Revenge!" I shouted.

"Okay! Okay! Okay! Stop yelling at me!" he shouted back.

"I'm pissed off at this asshole right now and I'm that's why I'm yelling -- I'm sorry! Geez," I was doing it again. I stood up and walked back over to the piano, pretty ashamed of myself for getting into a pointless arguement with one of my best friends.

"Alright listen, while you've moping for the past two days, I found a song that I like to think conveys my feelings towards this lunatic pretty well. You want to hear it, or you want to sit and PSM some more?" I asked.

"I guess let's here i,." Blaine sighed. Thanks for the big boost in confidence. buddy! Not!

"The story starts when it was hot and it was summer and...

I had it all, I had him right there where I wanted him

He came along, got him alone and let's hear the applause

He took him faster than you could say "sabotage"

I never saw it coming, wouldn't have suspected it

I underestimated just who I was dealing with

He had to know the pain was beating on me like a drum

He underestimated just who he was stealing from

He's not a saint

And he's not what you think

He's an actress, whoa

He's better known

For the things that he does

On the mattress, whoa

Soon he's gonna find

Stealing other people's toys

On the playground won't

Make you many friends

He should keep in mind

He should keep in mind

There is nothing I do better than revenge

He looks at life like it's a party and he's on the list

He looks at me like I'm a trend and he's so over it

I think his ever-present frown is a little troubling

And he thinks I'm psycho 'cause I like to rhyme his name with things

But sophistication isn't what you wear or who you know

Or pushing people down to get you where you wanna go

They wouldn't teach you that in prep school so it's up to me

But no amount of vintage coats can give you dignity

He's not a saint

And he's not what you think

He's an actress, whoa

He's better known

For the things that he does

On the mattress, whoa

Soon he's gonna find

Stealing other people's toys

On the playground won't

Make you many friends

He should keep in mind

He should keep in mind

There is nothing I do better than revenge

I'm just another thing for you

To roll your eyes at, honey

You might have him but haven't you heard

I'm just another thing for you

To roll your eyes at, honey

You might have him but I always get the last word

Whoa

He's not a saint

And he's not what you think

He's an actress, whoa

He's better known

For the things that he does

On the mattress, whoa

Soon he's gonna find

Stealing other people's toys

On the playground won't

Make you many friends

They should keep in mind

They should keep in mind

There is nothing I do better than revenge

Do you still feel like you know what you're doing?

'Cause I don't think you do. Oh.

Do you still feel like you know what you're doing?

I don't think you do

I don't think you do

Let's hear the applause

Come on show me how much better you are (so much better, yeah)

So you deserve some applause 'cause you're so much better

He took him faster than you could say "sabotage"

"Blaine," he looked up at me after my performance.

"I get that you feel like you're at the end of the world right now, but all you need to help you are some good friends, and fresh positivity. Take it from a foster child who's lived in over ten home in three years," I said.

And those words I just sang, I dedicate then to the asshole who is trying to take the wonderful Blaine Anderson away from us. And to whoever the hell you are, if you're reading this I got one thing to say:

PZZZZZZZZZZZZZTTTT!
