Chapter 3 of 23

Take a look around

"So I can go anywhere now?" I ask.

Samantha nods. "That's right. You can go wherever you'd like."

"Any place off limits?"

Samantha thinks for a moment. To be honest, if she says that something is off limits then I'll probably make a be-line for it. Whatever is off limits to me is mostly likely off limits to her.

"I'm sure my parents wouldn't want you in their room. And the office downstairs is a no go, but besides that, you can go where you'd like." Samantha answers.

I file the mental note in the back of my mind. I don't think I'll be going to her parents' bedroom either, but the office? I wonder why. Maybe because there are important documents or something like that. I wonder if I could find a way out from there.

"You're place is in the corner next the nightstand," Samantha points at the corner close to the window. "I'll be around if you need anything."

And with that, Samantha walks away. Leaving me to do whatever I like. I never thought I'd see the day where a giantess would leave me alone. I mean she can track me, but still, I can go wherever I like and do whatever I want.

I wonder to the edge of the bed, slide down, landing on the ground with a thump. In the corner where Samantha pointed at earlier, is a door in the wall and several windows. That muct be where I'll be staying. Let's check it out.

the front door is red which stands out from the wall. A small mat sits at the foot of the door. It has welcome written on it. When getting closer to the door, it buzzes and several locks come undone.

"So that's what she meant by accessing my home," I mutter.

I twist the knob and open the door. Inside, is quite amazing I won't lie.

The entire first floor is open spaced with a large living room and a high rise ceiling and a kitchen in the back. Off to my right is a set of floating stairs that lead to the loft area, and what hase to be my room. The place looks very modernized too. It also looks like there is some natural lighting coming in from the windows behind me. That or it's Samantha's room lights.

I do find it funny that the couch is a sectional, as if I'm going to have any guests over any time soon. The kitchen has an open bar, a fridge full of food, and cabnets full of kitchenware. The stocked kitchen itself makes me question if running away is a good idea.

Jogging up the stairs, I see th loft area. There's a large bed with two night stands flanking the bed. Across from that, a large tv. Under the tv is a dresser. I pull open the drawers and its filled with fresh clothes. T-shirts, jeans, shorts, underwear, everything.

I pull out a shirt and hold it up to my body. "No way," It looks like the shirt would actually fit my body.

I'm shocked. How would Samantha get these dimentions if she's never met me before. There's no way she could have possibly gotten that information off line.

I stuff the shirt back into the drawer and shut it. I walk over to what looks like a closet and open it. It's filled with shoes, dresses, jackets, hoodies and other things.

I pull out several jackets and try them on. They all fit.

I throw the jackets back into the closet as a jumbled up pile and close it.

Okay, now that's just creepy.

How can she know so much about me and yet this be our first time meeting? I guess... she could have talked to Bill about me or maybe even James, but they don't know the size clothing that I wear. Hell, I don't even know what size clothing I wear.

I walk away from the closet and open the door next to it. It's a full-sized bathroom, with a spacious shower, a bathtub with jets and a sink with plenty of counter space.

By the gods! How much money does this family have?!

I walk out of the bathroom and take a seat on the bed. The reality of this setting in on me now. Samantha truly believes that this could be my forever home and... it could, but I don't want this.

I want to be back home with my parents, my friends and family. I want to be out in the woods, living, surviving. This? I don't want any of this and I don't think I'll ever be satificied living here no matter many luxury items are thrown or given to me.

I have to leave. I want to leave.

The slow blinking bulb on my belt tells me that Samantha must be far away. I stare at it for a moment before taking the belt off, rushing down the steps and trying the front the door. It doesn't budge. I pull again with more force. Nothing.

"You're joking!" I growl.

I try the windows. No luck!

Lastly, I pull out the axe from my duffle bag and swing at the door with full force. It makes a dent in the door. That tells me two things, it's metal and its breakable. There's some good news in all of this.

I tuck the axe away and check the stability of the door. It's going to take a couple of swings to take this thing down, but I'm sure its won't be hard.

After putting the belt back on, I walk out the front. I leave behind my duffle bag and feel bare in the back without it. Looking around the room, I don't see Samantha close by. She could be anywhere in the house, but when this stupid belt starts to beep and blink that means she's near by.

Maybe I can use that to my advantage. If anyone gets close I can move away from them.

Walking around the room, I realize how small I am. This place is huge! The bed itself could be considered a snowy biome with how white it is. Not to mention the grand desk on the other side of the room, flanked by two bookshelves.

I continue walking about the room, taking a look around, passing a large walk-in closet and the slightly cracked door. I hear water splashing around and sweet humming. It's Samanatha.

She must be taking a bath.

I wonder if she's already in? I stare at the split between the door and the frame. Then I shake my head, rubbing my temples. Why am I thinking that!!

The girl can not have this much control over me.

One little peak won't hurt.

"Shut up." I tell my subconsious.

I pull myself away from the bathroom door and make my way to the bedroom door. As I'm exiting, I can hear the water splashing around heavily, a queue that Samantha is getting out of the bath. If I stay a little bit longer then maybe...

NO!

I squeak under the door and take a look around.

It's a long hallway filled with family pictures and paintings. There's a couple of doors as well, which could possibly be closets and spare rooms. I'm not interested in any of those rooms. The stairs is what I want which it looks like they are the other way, so that's the way the that I walk.

I walk passed a door or two, keeping close to the walls and for good reason. A butler comes walking up the steps with stack of towels.

My belt begins to blink faster and beep annoyingly.

The butler that walks passed me, glances at his wrist seeing it blink as well. He takes a look around on the floor. It's most likely because he wants to see what a human looks like. That or he doesn't want to step on me.

Either way, I keep walking.

The steps are much bigger then I expected, but with the amount of escape attempts, this will be a breeze.

Again sticking to the walls, I make my way down the steps. Once on the first floor, I gather my surroundings.

Two maids walk by, entering into a large double doored room. It looks like they were carrying dinner plates. Must be prepping for dinner. Another man from across the lobby comes rolling through with a cart full of food.

As the man rolls on by, I make a leap for the cart. The landing onto the bottom shelf isn't perfect, but I make it.

The doors swing open once again and the room on the other side is much brighter. It's like I died and went to heaven.

It's a large dinning room with a table longer then, well anything I've ever seen. It a dark wood with a Christmas green table cloth running down the middle of it. There are enough chairs at the table to seat an army.

It looks like the people are prepping for tonight's dinner service for the family. I wonder if I'll be involved in any of this.

Doubt it.

There's chatter, laughter and plates clattering. It seems like the people who work here enjoy their jobs. Or maybe they just enjoy the paycheck more than what they do. I wouldn't blame them if they did though. This family seems loaded.

As the maids and butlers walk around, the insecent beeping from the belt gets on my nerves. There's so many people around that makes the beep so unbareable. To them though, they don't seem as bothered with it. Too busy with their own work to notice anything I suppose.

The cart begins to move again once everything is unloaded. Back out of the dinning room, across the foyer, and in a large kitchen where there are people working away on food. Meats, fruits, veggies. I'm sure the family doesn't need a whole buffet since there are only three of them.

I can't lie though, the food does look good.

"Hey... Hey!" One bulter pipes up.

My heart spikes!

"My band is beeping!" He says.

A maid walking by with wine glasses glances at the young man's band "Then that means we should watch where we step."

I know this thing is supposed to keep me safe, but I'd rather not be found out!

Another maid with long black hair and red velvet lips, scoffs. "Prepping for dinner and now we have to watch after the human."

"Don't be an ass, Veronica." The maid with wine glasses says. "It's not hard to look out for the little guy."

"I shouldn't have to look out for the human at all." Veronica grumbles. "If Samantha keeps that thing in it's cage then there won't be any problems like last time, Cleo."

Last time? So that means I'm not the first human Samantha has owned.

The doors to the kitchen swing open again. A man in a well dressed black suit and a bald head comes walking.

"How much time until prep is over?" He askes in a british accent.

"Not much longer, Daniels," One of the cooks says.

He walks passed the young butler and the cart. "Good, Mr. Gains is to be expected tonight, so let's not - " His band begins to beep rapidly.  "It seems the new arrival is here as well."

Damnit! I got to get off this cart and out of this kitchen. I hate this belt!

I hop off the cart and duck back under it. I got to find a way out of this mess.

I peak a peak out from under the cart to see if I can go back the way I came. No such luck with all the traffic coming in and out of the doors. With all the giants walking around, it'll be hard to get out of here without any issue. There does look like a back exit from the kitchen.

While looking about, I feel a pair of eyes on me. I glance over at the Veronica chick. She doesn't seem all the interested in the floor right when she's busy checking her nails. My eyes flick over to the other maid, Cleo.

Our eyes connect.

She has this look of awe in her eyes and a slacked jaw. It must be her first time seeing a human in a while.

I put a finger up to my mouth in hopes she'll keep quite.

Her mouth clamps shut quickly and she gives me the tinies nod.

"Cleo, finish setting the glasses. Jerome, once the chefs are done get the food to the table. And Veronica, find the new arrival and take her back to Samantha." Daniels says, giving everyone their tasks.

"Oh, uh, Daniels!" Cleo steps closer to the older man. "What if I take the human back, instead of Veronica."

"Yeah, I don't want to touch that thing at all!" Veronica adds. "It could have rabbies or something."

As much as I don't want any giantess touching or manhandling me, if I had an option, I think I'd pick Cleo instead of Veronica.

"No." Daniels answers.

"But-"

Daniels glares at the maid.

Cleo quickly backs down, her eyes flicking to me, then she walks out.

Well, there goes my friendly option.

I turn my attention to the other exit on the opposite side of the kitchen and walk across the other side of cart.

It takes some time for me to build up the courage and step out from under my cover. I keep close the land in the middle of the kitchen, watching as the giants and giantess walk around. Once the last giant walks by, I bolt across the open floor.

It feels easy to cross the kitchen and I think I can get away scott free. That's what I want to happen, until I'm forcely yanked off the ground.

The ground becomes further and further from me. The g-force makes me want to hurl, but there's nothing I can throw up. All that comes to a screeching halt where I'm dangled at least seventy feet in the air.

I twist and turn, panicked to be so high with nothing under my feet.

"Gods, will you stop squirming like a rat." Veronica growls.

I look over my shoulder to see a billboard sized face and glaring eyes. "Only if you stop looking like one!"

Veronica grits her teeth. "You little-"

"Veronica!" Daniels calls from across the kitchen. The call makes me cover my ears.

The bald man comes walking up the to the woman, a sharp look in his eyes. He stands a head and a half taller than her (in giant standards).

"Take her to Samantha." He commands.

I can hear Veronica swallow. "Yes, sir."

The woman briskally leaves the kitchen.

Once she does, she starts cursing Daniels and his bald head. She walks up the steps, leaving me to sway to a frow. She stomps up to Samantha's door and barges right in.

Samantha, in a bath robe, is sitting on her bed with a bath towel wrapped around her hair and talking on the phone with someone.

Once she sees me, she ends her call abruptly and stands up with her hands stretched out. "Hey, don't hold her like-"

Veronica drops me right into Samantha hands without a single care the world and turns on her heels. "Keep it in the cage, your room, or in between your tits, but keep that thing out of the kitchen!"

"Bitch!" I shout, flipping her off as she leaves.

"Okay, okay, calm down." Samantha says gently setting me back down on the bed. Back to where I started.

"Manhandled like trash!" I growl, stalking back and forth. "If I were her size I'd- GAAAAHHHHH!"

"Caesar, just relax," Samantha tries to sooth me.

"Don't tell me to relax when I was just dangled seventy feet in the air for the last five minutes!" I roar. "She treated me like a rat!"

"I know, I tell Daniels not let Veronica near you," Samantha says.

That's not good enough! None of it is good enough! No matter the safety procausions, no matter how nice one gaint treats humans there will be more selfish, greedy, evil giants to outshine them!

"Caesar?"

"What?!" I bark, turning to my owner.

Samantha backs up a little bit. "Would you... like some time to yourself?"

I know that I shouldn't lash out at the girl, it's not her fault with how I was treated.

I sigh, trying to release some anger. "Yeah... If you wanna come bother me then I'll be in the house."

Taking some time to think can help me cool off and clear my head also help me figure out a way out of this foresaken place. The quicker I find a way out, the better my life will get!
