Caesar
The rest of the week was horrible. Everyday was a constant slow anxious build-up to Ravenworth's class. Of course, when it came to being put in and taken out of the cage, I sat in a corner waiting for the bell to ring. Those who accompanied me in the cage glanced or looked at me oddly. I'm sure they all are curious about my stand-off and isolating behavior.
They talk about their giants and how they are treated. One has a collar on him, but he doesn't seem to mind. Maybe he secretly likes it. Who am I to judge though?
Luckily it's Friday and the weekend is long for some reason. Some giant holiday or whatever. Don't know. Don't care. As long as I have fewer days with that monster and her damn cage then I don't care.
Samantha enters her bedroom. She throws her backpack to the side. Rather than handing her bag and jacket off to one of her servants who greet her Samantha has them bring her an afternoon snack.
She kicks off her shoes and loosens up her tie... and a single button that allows a tiny bit cleavage to peak out. I'm in her pocket so I can't see anything.
"I hate this!" Samantha grumbles. She's almost tempted to flop on the bed, but with me in the pocket, she won't commit. Not that being crushed between the mattress and her body would kill me.
Samantha sits on her bed, takes me out of the pockets, and drops me on the pillow casually. Now she flops back on the bed, and another loud groan fills the room. "Uuuuugh!"
A sigh escapes my lips and I slide down the pillow onto the mattress then make my way over to the giant teen lying down. She pulls her hair to the side and turns her head to face me.
"It's been a rough week for us." She says softly, rolling completely on her side, bringing her hand up to me and encasing me in warmth. "What are we going to do."
I, leaned into her large warm palm, sigh again. "We still have the principal to talk to, and maybe if we can get your dad to present his findings as well, then Ravenworth won't be a problem."
"Yeah, but how long is that going to take?" Samantha wonders out loud.
That is a good question. "I don't know, Sam. The best thing we can do is keep the fire alive."
The giantess hums dejectedly. Samantha doesn't have a lot of faith in what is to come in the future and I don't blame her. I'm sure the sun will shine on us in the future though. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
Sometimes I like to think that the longer one waits for good things the better those good things are. It's probably the optimism I'm slowly regaining.
"Hey, why don't we do something fun this weekend," I say, trying to switch tracks.
Samantha looks at me with dull eyes. Those eyes quickly light up and she pops up with joy, taking me with her.
"A date! We haven't gone on our first official date!" She exclaims, looking at me. "That's what we should do!"
You'd think I'd be overjoyed hearing that we're going on our first date, but in all honesty, I've kind of been dreading it. I'm not someone Samantha can flaunt or flex out in public, not in the 'this is my girlfriend' kind of way. Not that she needs to do something like that anyway. I just don't think I'm someone she can be proud of in front of other people. I'm a human and I don't think dating one is taken positively by giants in the first place.
Hell, Samantha hasn't told anyone about us. That can be chalked up to her past though not that it makes me feel better.
Rather than bringing up these concerns - my fears - I ask a more rational question.
"What would we even do, Sam? I'm not trying to rain on your parade or anything, but... I am a human." I say more as a reminder. It's in the sense that I'm a human in a giant's world as much as I hate to admit it.
Samantha thinks for a moment. "There isn't much, but I know we can still do things around my place. It doesn't need to be a fancy dinner, some dance, and then being whisked away to have sex."
I feel my face pale at the mention of sex. I don't know the first thing about it. Gods, would Sam want to do something like that?
Samantha can easily spot the dreaded look on my face. "Again, it's not going to be something like that. We could have a picnic or camp out in the backyard again. Nothing serious."
Now I feel bad since it'll be our first official date and on top of that it'll be my first date, like very first. Never got to experience much romance since I was too busy being a damn pet for a good chunk of my teen years.
I don't know at this point. I'm too insecure about myself, but I also don't want to ruin my first date ever.
I look up at Samantha. She's optimistic and undoubtedly excited about this - so I shouldn't ruin it for both of us.
"Okay, what do you have in mind?"
She said it wasn't going to be something fancy, but here we are dress-shopping again for the special occasion. I can't be mad about Samantha wanting to be extra. She usually goes the extra mile even when the extra mile isn't needed. I'm sure that has something to do with her being neglected as a child.
We decided on a nice evening dinner and then some star gazing afterward. We'll most likely end the night with a cuddle session and some making out. To me, that sounds like a really good first date. Although I don't have much to compare it to besides all the romance movies that I've watched over the years. Those aren't realistic anyway.
"What do you think of this one, Miss Gains." The man in a well-fashioned three-piece suit asks as he pulls out a creamy white short dress with straps that hang down on the side. "Would it fit your occasion for the weekend?"
Samantha looks at the dress with contemplation. "I do love the simple design, but the cream matches my skin tone closely and it's shorter than I'd like it to be. Keep the simplicity but maybe something a bit more bold color-wise."
The man nods and walks away.
Samantha sighs and turns to me on her shoulder. "What would you like to see?"
"Me?" I point at myself. "Like what you should wear?"
She nods.
I look at her with an are you serious? look. "Sam, I wear the most basic of clothing and you want me to what to wear?" Exhibit A: I'm wearing a bomber jacket, dark jeans, and white Converse. Pretty simple if you ask me.
The giantess shakes her head. "I'm not asking for fashion sense, I'd ask Kyla for that. I'm asking what you'd like to see."
Okay, am I dense? I'm not understanding what she wants me to say. Is this like a trick question or am I really supposed to tell her what I'd want to see?
"I don't know," I say with a confused shrug. "A dress, I guess..."
"Caesar," Samantha grumbles.
"Okay, okay. Give me a second to think." I say, putting my hands up defensively.
What do I want to see Samantha in? I think to myself tapping my chin. Nothing comes to mind honestly. I turn to Samantha for inspiration. Besides the fact that she's downright gorious, nothing sticks out.
"I don't know. Red will probably suit you the best."
Samantha raises a brow. "Red?"
I nod slowly, not entirely sure if my suggestion will satisfy her. "And shoulder straps that make an X on your back."
I just wanted to add that in there that's all.
"Okay, red with straps that make an X on the back," Samantha repeats.
My brows pinch together. I really don't know why Samantha wants my opinion or input on what she wears for our first date.
"Charrelton, can you find me a red dress, a long pencil skirt that has shoulder straps overlap in the back," Samantha tells the man who has come back with a few dresses.
Charrelton doesn't hold any emotion towards the request. Samantha does tell him that he can leave the dresses she selected here and she'll try a few on whilst he searches for the right dress for her.
Samantha sifts through the dresses and picks a few she thinks would look nice on her. She picks out a dressing room stall, writes her name and the number of the stall on the board outside, and begins trying on dresses by setting me down on the bench.
The dressing room is spacious with a three-way mirror on the open side of the room while several hooks line the walls on the left side of the mirrors.
Samantha, wearing short overalls and a basic white shirt, begins to undress, unclipping the straps and pulling the overalls off.
I've gotten used to Samantha undressing so the effect of seeing her like this doesn't make me blush or feel like a creep for staring... as much. We do consider each other a couple so I've gotten more comfortable with the things Samantha does.
A couple. I know Samantha has been iffy on something, really questioning if what she's been feeling the last few weeks is love. Sure, we've labeled each other as girlfriends, but I know that behind those eyes, in that crinkly brain of hers, Samantha doubts her feelings. And I can't say if all of her intentions are good, but I do know that she's changed me and I know how I about her is real love.
"Do you want something to come out of this first date, Sam?" I ask, turning to look at the three mirrors. I wonder if she's hoping some new emotion will arise or maybe she just wants to go on a nice date and that's it.
Samantha pauses.
She turns to me. "What thought brought up that question?"
I rub the back of my neck and look at her, the real her. No mirrors, no reflection. "I was just thinking about the signs, I guess... You're hesitant sometimes. It makes me question myself or adds to my questioning."
Samantha works her jaw, mulling over what to say. The hurt look in her eyes tells me that I shouldn't have said anything. She should know that I notice though. That I see the doubt and concern. The lingering fear that our relationship could still turn out like the previous one. And I don't know how to reassure her that it won't.
The giant brunette bends down, putting her knees to her chest. "To be honest, I don't expect anything to come out from this date. my doubts and fears are something that I'll be working on for a long time. All I know is that being with you," She reaches for me, a finger gently brushing my cheek. "Has eased those fears. I'm sorry that my own thoughts have affected you as well."
The answer puts me at ease for now. Samantha is being honest and that's all I can ask for. That shows growth and trust between us.
"Hey," Samantha adds, putting a finger under my chin and raising my gaze. "Tell me how you feel about all this. I don't want you to get wrapped up in those questionable thoughts, okay?"
I put my hands on Samantha's finger and press my lips against the large digit. "Okay."
Samantha nods. "Good. She stands back up to her height and reaches for a blue flowing dress that looks like water and shows it to me. "Now let's try on some dresses."
The giantess slips into the dress with relative ease. There's a struggle for her to zip the dress though and I feel bad for not being able to assist her. On top of that, the size of the dress doesn't seem to look like a comfortable fit, with the cup size squeezing and pushing Samantha's breasts up too much.
"It's pretty," I say before awkwardly gesturing to the chest. "But... I don't know about the..."
"I can always get it altered," Samantha responds casually. She looks down at her chest situation. There isn't a pleasant look on her face. It's more shame and disappointment. "I don't want to, though..."
"Have you thought about altering your chest?" The words slip right out of my mouth before my mind can process what I'm thinking. "Shit! Wait- I didn't mean for it to come out like that."
Samantha sighs. " I have thought about it, but there are a lot of complications when it comes to altering them." She explains calmly.
Again, I've never had to think about things like that, unlike Samantha. I guess we both got body problems in our own unique way. Well, it's not really a guess, it's the truth, obviously. You know what? I don't need to over-explain things like I do sometimes. And I probably should stop saying you know what to cut myself off before I say something stupid.
"Sorry for the rude comment." I apologize.
She waves her hand, brushing off my apology. "It's okay. I'm used to those types of comments anyway."
Well, shit.
"Sam, that doesn't make me feel better," There is an edge of annoyance to my admission. "I'm just telling you how I feel," Smanatha looks at me with some shock. I have to stop myself to think about what I will say next. Don't want to be unnecessarily harsh. "If we are going to be serious about this whole dating thing. You also have to tell me about what bothers or hurts you as well."
She looks at me while searching her thoughts for a second. A short sigh fills the air. "You're right. I shouldn't ask something of you that I myself hesitate to do, so I'll be honest to you and you'll be honest to me."
I nod with an affirming smile. "Good!"
It looks like we are making better progress. And even if this date doesn't bring something in either of us, we can as least be true to ourselves and helpful to each other.
A few minutes later, Charrelton comes by with a red dress that suits Samantha's request. It's long enough to reach the ground and has a royal red color to it. Samantha takes it from him and flips it around.
She points at the back of the dress and mouths 'look! An x!'
I can hear her adorably excited voice in my head saying those words. It puts a smile on my face.
Samantha slips on the of the dress she's currently in and puts on the red one.
I watch as she has her back turned to me. The dress seems to slip on with ease, much easier than the previous dresses. A twinge of hope and joy rises inside me realizing that the dress is going to fit.
The very clear X on her back that reaches from the shoulder to the opposite hip. It honestly brings out the lighter skin tone her back.
Gods, she's pretty.
A depressing sigh fills the air and Samantha's shoulders fall a bit to show her depressed state. The gaintess turns around to reveal the same problem she's been having the entire time. he breasts dont fit in the cups of the dress.
Samantha's disappointed and pouty face breaks my heart. She opens her mouth to complain and reaches to take off the dress.
"It's beautiful!" I blurt out, cutting her off.
The giantess looks at me with furrowed brows. "Caesar..."
"I'm being serious." I double down. "Get it altered or fixed or whatever. I don't care. It's beautiful on you."
Samantha hesitates to speak. She doesn't know what to say. I do though.
"Buy it."
"But I won't be able to wear it for our date." She say dejectingly.
I shake my head. "That's fine. It probably meant for a more special occation."
Samantha opens her mouth then snaps it shut. She turns to look at herself in the mirror. She straightens herself up, a small confident smile curls on her lips.
"You're right. Maybe not for our first date..." She says, letting her words trail off. "maybe for something more special."
Samantha takes off the dress. The look on her face is lighter, happier.
I'm just happy I stopped from thinking negatively again. She really does look beautiful in that dress. I wish she could see herself the way I see her. All I can do is encourage and help her gain more confidence in herself cause that's mostly all that she's been doin for me.
As we leave the dress shop, Samantha bringing along the red dress, I'm reminded of something in the first few days that Samantha and I met.
"I'm your confidence booster." I say, simply remembering that first day we met.
"Mh?" Samantha hums.
I look up at her with a smirk. "Your confidence booster. Remember?"
Samantha blinks and her memory kicks in. "Oh, yeah. You definitely liked the way I looked in that black dress."
I shrug. "I can't lie. You are pretty to look at."
"And you're fun to have around."
The two of us walk back to samantha's car in silence.
Once we're in, Samantha buckles up. She looks at me once again.
"Thank you, Caesar."
"Eh, no problem." I casually wave her off.
"Caesar."
"Okay, okay. You're welcome."
