Chapter 15 of 23

The Past. Pt. 2

Caesar

It's been a day since Lily has woken up. She's regained enough of her strength to walk around but only for a short period of time. Kyla won't stop looming over the poor woman. Honestly, I don't understand how Lily handles it.

I guess it runs in the family because Samantha does the exact same thing with me.

The two of us humans, sit in the living room. I can hear the muffled talks and footsteps of the two giants outside. If it were four and a half years ago, I'd be terrified. Now I'm just used to it.

Lily lays on the couch, cuddled under a blanket. She's still pale and a little feverish, but we all agree that she'll make it and will be able to go home with Kyla by tomorrow morning.

For now, she's resting after spending some time with Kyla outside in the sun. Sun's good for you even when you are sick.

Now we are taking it easy, watching the next season of some romcom show that I've never heard of. Lily says that she and Kyla watch it all the time at home. I prefer action and horror, but to each there own, I guess.

Okay, hear me out, but romcoms are all the same and it just gets old and boring. By the end of it all, I just stare blankly as the credits roll and beg for my braincells back. And don't start yapping to me about how all action shows and movies are the same. At least they have cool explosions and extremely outlandish scenes that are nothing but pure chaos. That's what makes them fun!

"Okay, but why doesn't she just tell him she loves him?" I ask as the main man walks away from the main woman. "like... I don't get it. They obviously love each other, so why not just admit their feelings?"

Lily, probably annoyed by this point because I've been making comments about this exact issue the entire time, adjusts herself while letting out a deep sigh. "Because they don't know the other love thems. We think it's obvious, but these two are so blinded by their past lives, confused emotions, and denying mindset, that they can't see the love right in front of them."

Weirdly enough, I feel like this is directed at me in a way... we'll see if that comes true in the future.

"I think the studio wants to drag out the frantice as long as possible and get as much as they can out of it." I say with a grunt while getting out of the chair.

I can see Lily roll her eyes as I take her cup to fill it with more water.

I've forgotten what it feels like to have another human. It's welcoming, but strange sadly. I've gotten used to having giants around me all the time that it feels... wrong in a way to have another human around.

The cup finishes filling up and I come back to the living room, handing the drink back to Lily.

"Thank you," she says as she takes the cup from me.

I take a seat back on the chair and slump in it a smidge. The window to the room outside world is darkened with one of the giant woman standing in front of it. It's sad to me being only able to see the larger room rather then the outdoors.

The familiar feeling of being outside has never left unlike the company of another human. Truely sad that I crave the forest more then the people of my own size. Mabye it's because my brain has convinced myself that there's no one to go back to and my heart is just coming to the realization.

"Do you miss your family?" I ask Lily out of the blue.

There's a pause and then the clink of glass tapping the table.

"Yes,"Lily looks over at me. "Do you miss yours?"

"..."

A saddened look crosses the black-haired woman's face when I don't answer. "I'm sorry."

"They aren't dead, if that's what you are thinking... at least I don't think they are," I say sitting up. "I've just gone numb to the feeling of... having other people like me around. People that aren't constantly looming over me or trying to grab me or... you know."

"Tell me about it," Lily adds gently. "Kyla's a literal child. She's so grabby and constantly wants to cuddle."

"Must run in the family then." I say casually.

We chuckle.

I happy to know another human at least. We can least bond over our terrible treatment from giants. That and the fact that our owners are cousins.

"How did you end up with Kyla anyway?" I ask.

"Well," Lily curls back up in her blanket, tucking her hands under her head. "I only had one owner before being shipped off and taken in by a human club. I was never treated kindly and was always..." She takes in a shaky deep breath and exhales. "taken advantage of... humiliated... hurt. The world was just..."

"Cold?" I finish.

Lily nods. "I thought that this is where my life ended. I'd be stuck on an endless miserable loop. Luck was on my side though and Kyla came along and took me away. She was a blessing."

I can see it. Being humilated and treated like you're less and there's nothing you can do about it. squirming and beggin for the pain to stop. Pleading with whatever gods there are for the release of death, only for it to never come.

The burning sensation of the blade digging into my skin still stings my nerves and I don't think I'll ever be able to let go of those feelings. But they can be subsided with the propper help.

"Hm. I guess luck was on both our sides." I say.

Lily agrees with a small smile and a yawn before she closes her eyes, ending the conversation before sleeping.

A sigh of exhaustion escapes my lips. I'm jealous of the relationship that Lily has with Kyla. Not the lovey-dovey part, but the fact that they can be vulnerable with one another. That's something I want with Samantha.

It's something I wish we had. I want it possibly just as much as I want love.

Heh. Here I am constintly trying to deny my feelings of love. And now it seems like that's the only thing I crave. Love and care. Except our relationship isn't perfect like Lily's and Kyla's. It's parasitic if anything.

Like a leech sinking it's teeth into it's nearest victim and sucking it dry. I'm the leech that's latched it'self onto Samantha and I've done nothing, but hurt her.

Yet she still cares and I still stayed because I care about her. Because... I love her.

Love.

How do I even know what that feels like anymore?

I let my head fall into my hands. "What do I do?"

The question of my life and I don't think it'll ever be answered. Not in this life at least.

A few heavy thumps of footsteps walking away from the house catches my attention. I'm happy for it, honestly. I don't want to be left alone with my thoughts for too long or else I'll start to spiral.

I look over at Lily who looks like she is doing fine, resting at the moment, and is happily cuddled up on the couch.

She'll be fine. I tell myself and get up from my seat to go see what it is that the giantesses are doing outside the house.

I Exit the house, looking around for the two huge women. They shouldn't be hard to miss and yet here I am, unable to find them.

Probably left already.

More work for me! Yay.

I guess I could stay here, but I've never liked to stayed cooped up for long.

I walk across the room, under the enormious bed, and up to the large dark door that leads out into the hallway. It's closed so I have to crawl under the doorway, barely able to fit and squeeze my way through.

The hallway is also empty. I wonder where they could have gone.

I walk towards the stairs and begin my agonizing descent. Samantha has done everything for me that I've slowly started to lose my stamina and strength. Really need to hit the gym more.

Once down on the main floor, I take caution and stick to the walls while walking around. Servents walking around the place frantic, as if they were preparing for someone to arrive. Possibly Samantha's parents are coming home before she goes back to school.

I'm not excited for school even though I'm registered as Samantha's humans and I agreed to go because she gave me puppy eyes. Damn those puppy eyes. Now's not the time to complain about school. I wanna know where the two 75 foot, walking buildings went.

I mean, seriously, it shouldnt' to hard to miss them. Unless...

I whip around to see if the two had somehow snuck up on me. There's no one there though.

I turn back around and there's Samantha standing right in front of me.

Kidding.

"Where's a giant girl when you need one?" I grumble and keep walking.

I reach the backdoor that's slightly ajar, which gives me the idea that they're outside. I don't see the harm in checking it out.

Slipping through the crack in the door, I step outside on my own free will in years. It enlightening. A small summer breeze picks up brushing my hair back. It feels so nice to be outsided again.

I walk out from under the balcony and keep an extra safe distance from the pool, making a be-line for the rock paved path we took two weeks ago. I get closer to the path there an aggressive rustle coming from the bushes.

My senses spike and I go on the defense, paying close attention to what may jump out. I keep an eye out for any place to hide or take cover in, but nothing is close except for the diving board which won't do much.

Chittering and squeaks of an animal from the shaking bushes.

Man! I really wish I had my axe right now. I let myself.

The bushes suddenly die down, but it doesn't ease my concerns. It heightens them actually.

The bushes rip open and out comes a giant furball of a creatrue with grey fur, a striped tail, and black circles around its eyes. Trash panda.

And it seems to be looking straight at me, it's teeth gnashing and saliva dripping from its mouth.

Do I have to tell you that humans and raccoons don't mix at all.

I turn and bolt. The fuzzy rabid animal comes chasing after me.

The raccoon catches up quick enough that I have to dive out of the way. With the big animal blocking the chairs, I have to turn and make a be-line for the diving board.

The raccoon shakes off his tumble and comes after me again.

What's this guy's deal? I didn't do anything to him. I tell myself as I jump and grab onto the first step of the diving board. Adenaline is coursing through my veins as I jump, duck, dodge my way up the steps while the raccoon chases after me.

Once to the top, I turn back and kick the trash panda right in the nose, stunning him for a moment while I back away.

And I thought this was a good idea? I tell myself as I try and look for an escape from either being ripped to shreds or drowning. Where is a secret third option when you need one.

The raccoon crawls up on the board and slowly creeps towards me. I continue to take a few steps back until my foot slip and I nearly fall off the board into the water below.

I look back at the raccoon and decide there's only one thing to do.

I gasp loudly and point. "Look!"

The raccoon whips around for a second. There's nothing there but the trees.

I can't help snicker at the fact this bozo fell for that. Hey, I'm going to die, might as well have fun with it, right?

The raccoon turns back around, angerier then before.

Well... guess I'll die now.

The raccoon lunges at me. I drop lower and the giant fuzz ball goes right over me. He whips around in the air and with his claws, rips through the clothes and tears the skin under neath.

Searing pain burns at the tips of nerves and I can't help but let out a painful scream.

I pulled down with the raccoon and for what seems like a few seconds, we are floating throught the air. Well, more like falling with style.

Then Wham!

I hit the water hard and swallowed up. Bubbles float around me as I try and figure out what do to. A black mass zooms by me. The Raccoon. I try to grab hold so I can ge pulled along with him, but I miss.

I panic and try to flail my body to the surface, but it's like my body is stagnant in the water.

I really should have taken up Ashley's offer when I had the chance. I tell myself as the last bubble of air escapes my mouth.

I don't have any strength left and slip into the darkness.

I can feel it. The sharp scalpel digging into my skin and cutting through it like it's butter. I bite my tongue to hold back the screams of pain, because I know that's what she wants to hear. It's music to her ears.

I try to wiggle and break free, but the strips of tapes are too tight and restricting that I can't move.

The blade is removed and a hum of disappoint fills the air. A shadow is cast over my nearly naked and cut up body.

"No screams today?" The dark shadowy figures asks as she takes the blade and licks off the drops of blood.

"Fuck... you." I struggle to say.

The yellow eyes narrow and the blade is held over a lit candle. "Fuck me? No, no, no, my little friend. An attitude like that can not do." She pulls the scalpel from the candle. The tip glows orange and hot.

I try to pull away, but a spare hand holds me in place. The tip touches my thigh and cuts deep into the flesh. To the bone.

I scream, jolting up from my rest. My body... my body is on fire. Every scar burning red hot like flames from the sun. And my head. It feels like air is being pumped into it to the point where it'll blow up.

My entire body is covered in sweat and my heart is pounding right out of my chest. I put a hand over my heart to try and calm my breathing. I immediately notice my shirt and bra has been replaced with firm bandaging that wraps around my entire torso. Good news is that I still have my favorite pants on.

What happened? I ask myself.

"Caesar!" A shadow envelopes me.

I look to get a glimpse of the yellow eyes and immediate dread fills my entire body. There's no time to think as a huge hand comes at me. I don't hesitate to bite it like a savage animal.

The woman yelps in pain and pulls away from me. This gives me time roll backwards and slip between the baseboard of the bed and the wall.

I take hard tumble down the dark crevice and slam into the wooden floor. It slows me down, but it won't stop me. I'll do anything to get away from that wretched monster.

My entire body burns and my lunges ache. I try to push myself to my feet, begging my body to get up, but it doesn't happen. I can see the woman bending down to look for under the bed. I've gone into full panic mode and begin to crawl away.

It's no use.

The hand that reached for me earlier is back and this time it doesn't plan on letting go. I sink my teeth into the thumb, but the grip only tightens.

I don't care how hard she squeezes. I'd rather be crushed than go back.

I'm pulled out from under the bed and back in the shadow the wretched woman. Except, it's not her.

Her eyes a wonderful golden brown color and her face flooded with concern and not a sinlge blemish on it. Samantha.

My bite losens up. The overwhelming amount of relief and joy to see Samantha, to know it was a nightmare, causes tears well up my eyes. I start to cry like a child cries to her mother. It reminds me of the night I tried escaping, but didn't have the heart to do it.

My body is pressed against Samantha's soft chest. I quickly bury my face deep into her chest and start screaming. Letting everything out. My body and my mind can't take anymore of this torture. Not alone at least.

Samantha rubs my back gently as I let go of everything. She continues to sooth and reassure me that everything would be alright.

I don't know how long she lets me sit here and cry. It has to have been twenty minutes before I've run out of tears. My sobs dying down into hiccups and body trembles. The grip I have on Samantha's button-up is tighter than ever.

"Caesar? Can I-" Samantha tries gently pulling me away.

Panic envelopes me again. "No!" I plead desperately. "Don't leave me. I can't... I need you."

The tugging stops and I'm able to bury myself back into the larger girl's bosom. I rise and fall with the heavy sigh in Samantha's lungs.

"Can I tuck you in my breast pocket?" The gaintess asks.

I think for a moment. I just want her to hold me. I want to be wrapped in her embrace for as long as possible. A pocket isn't good enough.

I shake my head.

"You can tuck her between your boobs." Another familiar voice advises.

"Kyla." Samantha grumbles.

"What? Lily and I do it all the time." Kyla says.

Another sigh.

"Do you... want that..." Samantha asks hesitantly.

I want to nod, but I know how uncomfortable that'll make Samantha feel. That's not fair. Even if I'm feeling vulnerable, I refuse to take advantage of the huge girl.

I shake my head again.

"Caesar."

I look up with big watery eyes. Samantha has a soft smile on her face.

"It's okay if you want to." She says gently.

I avert my eyes, feeling a blush bloom on my cheeks, and nod slowly.

"Okay, but you're going have to let go for a moment." She says, pulling me away.

This time I let go. The anxiety in my chest rises and my heart can't handle being away from Samantha for too long.

She sets me on her shoulder. I quickly wrap myself around her neck in hopes of regaining some form of comfort. I try not to watch her unbutton the top of her blouse, but with the angle that I have, it's hard not to.

Slim fingers wrap themselves around me once again and I'm slowly taken down to chest level. Now all I can do is stare. I swear my nose is bleeding from the sight infront of me.

Samantha parts her breasts and slides me in between them, tucking me away safely. In a matter of seconds I'm surrounded by Samantha's warmth.

I press my face against her sternum and breathe in her scent. I have to tell myself repeatedly that no one can get me here. They'd have to get through Samantha first.

Focus on her heart. Listen to the thumping. I advise myself.

Ba-dum. Ba-dum. Ba-dum.

You're here with Samantha. You're safe.

I close my eyes. Rather then picturing the terrible woman, I see Samantha and her warm smile. Just imagining her makes my heart flutter with joy. My mind can't think of anyone but her now. It's welcoming and a little overwhelming. I've never felt this way about anyone else. I can't deny it anymore.

There's no running from it. I open my eyes again. I'm in love with Samantha.

AN: I want to ask how are you guys enjoying the rewrite so far? What do you miss and what do you wanna see more of in the future?
