I was only waiting for a few minutes before I heard a car pull up. I looked out the window and saw Aaron help a blindfolded Bonnie out of the car. I couldn't really hear her but I could see her lips moving. Knowing Bonnie she's probably asking questions, waiting for Aaron to either get fed up or slip up and to tell her where she is.
I walked to the door and opened it. Aaron led Bonnie into the living room.
"Ok, ok. I know i'm in a house. It smells like perfume. Is that you Aaron? Is there another girl? I swear to god if you're going behind my back I will cut your balls off."
I had to hold in my laughter. I slowly swapped places with Aaron. I put my hands in front of her eyes as he untied the the blindfold. I then shouted in her ear
"GUESS WHO?"
Bonnie turned around so fast I swear she might have gotten whiplash. When she saw me she screamed and jumped on me. This sent me off balance and I landed ass first on the floor. My jumper started to get damp and I realised Bonnie was crying. I heard the front door close and I guess Aaron left us to it. Once we got back on our feet, Bonnie hugged me again. She then pushed me off her and slapped me across the face. It forced my face to the side. Well that was unexpected. No one has ever hit me and got away with it........so I slapped her back. She put one hand on her cheek and stared me in the eye. We just burst out laughing. Thank god Aaron wasn't here otherwise we'd have one seriously protective male on our hands.
"Don't you ever leave me again like that or else our relationship is over." She stopped herself before she could say anything else.
"Oh my god Lex i'm so sorry. I didn't mean it like that. I'm such a bitch. I swea-"
"Bonnie i'm fine honestly. Today is about you. Can we just forget about that for one day. Forget i'm your Luna and just be friends. Deal?"
I stuck out my hand and she grabbed it "deal"
I told her I had everything planned. Bonnie had always complimented my tattoo's. She says she loves them and would love to get one eventually. So for her birthday i'm paying for her first tattoo.
We arrived at the little place I pass everyday to and from training. This is actually where I got my latest tattoo done. When I parked the car Bonnie just followed me to the door completely confused. I stopped outside the shop window, raised my arms and said
"taa dah".
It took a few seconds for it to register with her. Then she freaked out in true Bonnie style.
We walked in and I asked for Jasmine. She's the one who did my tattoo. She's lovely, covered in tattoo's, bright pink hair with her dimples pierced. She looks scary but is as harmless as a ladybird. I could see that pink hair from a mile away. I caught Bonnie's hand and dragged her to the back of the shop.
She sat down in the chair. Now comes the fun part. Choosing what she wants to permanently put on her body. Bonnie just stared up at me, eyes brimming with mischief.
"What did she do for you?"
I lifted my shirt and angled myself so she could get a good view of my latest addition. Bonnie gasped.
"I love it. I want that. In the same place. So it'll be like a friendship tattoo."
I was honoured but found it quite odd. It doesn't really scream 'friendship tattoo'. Located on my right ribcage just below my bra strap is a little quote. It's one i've been thinking about getting for ages and in light of recent events I thought it fit perfectly. Now or never right?
The tattoo itself is quite simple. 'I suffered, I learned, I changed' in Arabic. No fancy colours or images, just words.
I held Bonnie's hand as Jasmine started. We were talking and laughing. She took it better than I thought. Jasmine was done in about 20 minutes. We stood in front of the mirror, side by side. Bonnie's little act was enough to pull at my heart strings. She didn't have to choose one of my tattoo's but she did.
We turned around to face Jasmine. She took a picture of us showing off out tattoo's on an old polaroid camera. We took a few more all different poses.
In the end Bonnie walked out no longer an tattoo virgin and with about 20 pictures.

Bonnie's staying at the cabin with me tonight. We're going to rent a few movies, Bake brownies, eat junk and just enjoy the night.
We're singing along to the radio. Out of the blue Bonnie turned down the radio and shifted in her seat.
"It's about what happened between you and Luke right?" My breath hitched in my throat and I gave her a quick glance.
"The tattoo I mean. It's obvious. I know what happened between you two. He's in bits. You're not the only one who's changed. He's never around. He's either out drinking, in the gym or fighting."
"Bonnie there's nothing to talk about. That's in the past. We're in the past, now will you please drop it?"
"No I won't. You two are not in the past, you can't be. You were made for each other. LITERALLY. You're mates. If there was nothing between you then you wouldn't have left and he wouldn't be acting the way he is. Yes Luke messed up and he deserves to pay but please don't give up on him. Don't give up on us."
There's that tight feeling in my chest again. Why are these people so damn persistent.
"Look i've made up my mind but we'll talk about that another time. I just need to swing by the library and then we can go buy food."
It didn't take us that long to get to the library. I told Bonnie to wait in the car. I didn't want her to see what book I was taking out. I ran inside and headed straight for the Sci-Fi section. I knew exactly what I was looking for. I ran my fingertips across the spine of the books as I moved along the shelves. Finally I found it.
I opened the contents, found the page I was looking for and tore it out. I quickly shoved it into my bra. I know it's wrong but I left a $20 donation at the desk. I ran out and back into the car.
"Did you get what you were looking for?"
"No they didn't have it"
I lied through my teeth. I started the engine and we headed to the cabin.
5 full paper bags, a pepperoni pizza, 4 failed attempts at making brownies and a destroyed kitchen later we're sitting on the couch watching 'The Heat' starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. It's our second time watching it tonight. It's just so damn funny.
It's about 4am and I can feel my eyelids getting heavy. I pulled the blanket up around me. Bonnie's passed out on the floor. She fell of the couch about 15 minutes ago. I laughed and she got comfy. The little bitch is as snug as a bug and snoring away.
I let my eyes close and sleep take over me.
At least she'll have a fond memory of me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Someone is hitting me on the head with a hammer and poking my brain like your mum's jelly. I opened my eyes and the pain got worse. I blinked repeatedly hoping it would stop.
The room is dimly lit and there is an awful sound. It's like a woodpecker. Bonnie stirring told me that it's not just in my head.
IT'S THE FRONT DOOR.
I threw the blanket off me and just as the gust of wind hit me I grabbed it again. I hauled myself off the couch and put my hands out to steady myself . The world is morphing and my floor is tilting. I somehow made it to the door without face planting. The noise is getting louder and louder. I can her shouting from outside.
I opened the door, my eyes barely opened, submerged in a blanket and with a look that I was hoping would kill and bury whoever it is making that god awful noise at this unholy hour.
My eyes barely adjusted to the light streaming in through the now opened door. Causing me to squint.
"Oh thank god you're alive. You have a phone for a reason! Answer it woman so we don't panic like this again."
I know that voice anywhere. It's Aaron.
"DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS" that is Zach. I put my hand out to silence them. I don't even have the energy to retaliate or shout. I just want to sleep. I led them into the front room where Bonnie's currently passed out.
Aaron tried to wake Bonnie up..........she hit him.
That's when I noticed the empty Vodka bottle on the floor. I guess the 7up we were drinking last night wasn't just lemonade. That explains why we couldn't stop laughing, couldn't cook, or stop talking
"Did you two drink all this last night?" I turned to see Zach standing with an empty bottle of WKD Blue and a half full bottle of Rum. I nodded as I walked into the kitchen. I grabbed two painkillers and a drink to water the Sahara desert in my mouth.
"You do know that's illegal." I spat out my drink.
"What?" My voice was dry and croaky.
Zach threw his arm over my shoulder.
"You're not in Kansas anymore sweetie." It took a minute for me to get what he was saying.
Oh my god. I'm in America not England. Legal age to consume alcohol in America is 21 not 18. HOLY FUCKING SHIT
I ran to the bathroom and threw up.
When I came out I saw Bonnie slumped against Aaron, eating cereal. Zach piped up again "Uh this probably isn't the right time but you know it's noon and you're meant to be training us."
Oh fuck. Ok activate Marine Mode.
"Alright, I want you to go to the forest and tell the guys i'm sorry. I want you to go over everything we've done this past month or so. I'll join you later. Aaron you take Bonnie home, make her a banana milkshake, make sure she stays hydrated and don't piss her off. I'm going to shower and there's a few things I have to do. Now chop chop."
There was a lot of groaning but they left.
I finished my shower. I sat on the end of my bed and read the message over and over again. I got it last night but I didn't pay attention. It was simple, two words but caused a riot of emotions within me. "It's Time"
I know what I have to do.
I got dressed, not in my usual training gear but sweats. I put my hair up in a high ponytail and rolled up my sleeves. I began in the kitchen, throwing all the food into a bag that i'll drop off at a homeless shelter. I bagged all my clothes that I want to donate. I also cleaned up the mess that Bonnie and I made last night.
I sat down at the table with two sheets of blank white paper and a pen in front of me. I knew exactly what I wanted to write. I've gone through it so many times in my head but when push comes to shove i'm blank, just like the paper. It took me about an hour but I finally found the right words. The only thing missing were the songs i've written. I walked into my bedroom and tore the page out of my old song book/diary.
I dried my hair and threw everything into the back of my car. I picked up the picture of my grandparents and kissed it before I left, like I always do.
I sat into the car and took one last look at the life i'm leaving behind.
I made it to the clearing.
"Well look who decided to grace us with their presence."
The twins gave me a cheeky smirk. I just chuckled and carried on walking. I'll allow them get away with it today.
"You're not dressed for training. What's going on?" I turned to Hulk who I learned is actually called Charlie and now it's my turn to smirk.
"I'm here to observe. Now show me what you're made of."
They all had a twinkle in their eye as they got into position.
We finished at 21:00 . Late I know but normal hours are from 7:00-13:00 and it was 18:00 before I got here so they really got away with murder. They looked so happy when I sent them home early. I stood like I did every time we started and ended training, like the first day. Somethings don't change.
Except today my lips curled up into a smile as I watched them say goodbye and leave. Laughing, enjoying themselves. If only they knew.
"Bye Alex" came in rounds. "Remember what I told you all. Goodnight guys, safe home. " I lowered my voice as I looked at the ground "and goodbye."
