Chapter 51
A white luxury car drove toward Goldbay Estate, where the great gates swung open automatically upon the car plate number being verified by the security system. The mansion sparkled under the warm sunlight, looming magnificently with its foreign architecture style.
Violet had recently seen a segment of the news reporting this piece of property to be the most expensive in the region. According to the report, this was a smart house. However, Violet had not noticed anything out of the ordinary. She had not seen a single robot.
The car stopped in front of the mansion. Violet lifted her eyes to admire the beautiful architecture.
She could not help but smirk when she recalled the foolish woman she had just met and how she had been wearing a fur vest on this sweltering hot day. Was there something wrong with her?
Would Yvette West really print those posters to win Theoâs favor?
It was up to her!
Violet did not really care about the posters. After all, she had no interest in getting tangled up with the Yeagers.
She opened the door and got out of the car before bounding into the living hall happily.
âYouâre back, Miss Yeager,â Zoey said kindly. âWhat would you like for lunch?â
âAnything! Like Iâve said before, Iâll eat anything you eat. Iâm not picky at all when it comes to food,â
Violet walked towards the coffee table cheerfully. âAre you arranging flowers again?â
âYes, these are sunflowers. The presidentâs favorite.â Zoey was pruning the plants with a pair of scissors.
Jackâs favorite flowers were sunflowers?
âThatâs such a coincidence. They are my favorite too,â Violet sat down on the couch. âLet me help you with this,â Having said that, she picked up a pair of pruning scissors. âZoey, do you know what sunflowers symbolize?â
âIâm not so sure about that. All I know is that it possesses an enduring spirit. It never stops facing the sun. Loyalty, probably.â
Violet had a very melodious voice. âIt represents affection. A quiet kind of love. The sunflower turns faithfully with the sun, which embodies strong internal conviction. Yes, itâs loyalty, more or less!â

âThe president is that kind of person,â Zoey said. âHe is very self-disciplined and holds himself to very high standards.â
Violet did not respond. She did not want to praise him.
âWill you be going out later in the evening, Miss Yeager?â
âNope. Why?â
Violet had just answered Zoey when her cell phone rang. She took it out and saw an unfamiliar number on the caller ID. It was not Yvette. Could it be Theo Yeager?
She answered the call with speculation in her mind. âHello.â
âIâll be bringing someone very important back to the mansion in a while, so donât come back.â Jackâs voice was serious and low; it was completely unlike his normal self.
Violet was stunned. âHow did you get my number?â
âThatâs not the point,â Jack said coldly. âRemember not to go back.â He knew that she had driven the car off without allowing the chauffeur to follow her.
âBut Iâm already back!â Violet raised an eyebrow. âIâm arranging flowers with Zoey. A table full of sunflowers!â
She was back?
âIâm telling you,â Jack continued, âI have a very important potential deal. The guest wants to visit my smart home. Since youâre already back, could you kindly hide on the second floor? I wonât forgive you if anything goes wrong. He is an extremely rigorous person with germophobia. He doesnât like other people getting close to him.â
âJust sign your deal, what are you threatening me for?â Violet asked unhappily. âWhatâs with your attitude? Let my mother go and Iâll leave immediately, as far away as possible!â
âViolet, now is not the time to discuss this.â At the moment, Jackâs expression was a deep and quiet one. His voice had also grown considerably colder. âIâm not joking with you. This is a prospect worth billions. If this gets screwed up thanks to you, well, you know what would come after.â

â¦
Billions?!
Violet was obviously shocked. How could a single prospect be worth billions? Good heavens!
âPass your phone to Zoey,â Jack said. He could not be bothered to make another call to
the landline.
