This guy wasn't playing by the rules at all!
I quickly declined, "Oh, I am Ok."
Zenon's expression remained unchanged. "Where do you live?"
"I... uh... New View Gardens."
"It's no problem, I'm heading that way."
Heading that way my ass! Did he think I didn't know his tricks?!
He even put the leash back on my dog, his movements surprisingly swift and deft.
"I'll hold him for you, just in case he runs off again."
And so, with my dog's enthusiastic approval, I found myself walking home side-by-side with Zenon.
It was only then that I realized Zenon was actually a head taller than me.
Zenon held the dog leash in one hand and his phone in the other, typing furiously.
For some reason, I felt a twitch in the corner of my lips.
He must be dealing with some company business.
As I was thinking this, Zenon suddenly turned to me, catching me off guard.
I quickly averted my gaze.
Zenon's deep voice broke the silence. "What's your dog's name?"
I froze, hesitating for a moment before blurting out, "His, his name is Biggie Daz..."
Biggie Daz barked excitedly, as if in response.
I instantly regretted choosing that name. It was so embarrassing.
"Well, you know, there's a saying that giving a pet a silly name helps them live longer..."
"Ha..." Zenon chuckled after a moment. "That's a good one. He seems very lively."
Suddenly, it was as if the ice had melted and spring had arrived.
It was the first time I'd seen him smile a genuine smile.
And the first time I realized a man's smile could be so captivating.
Oh my god, I think my heart skipped a beat...
Sensing my gaze, Zenon's face instantly returned to its usual stoicism. "What's wrong?"
Before I could answer, I felt a splash on my head.
