A Billion Dollar Mess(Completed)1,122 words~6 min read

Bella's POV

"Mercedes! I am so glad you could make it. Loving the mask!" A Lady said to me as I walked into the yacht and entered the room, beautifully decorated and smelled so nice...Of lavender and something like cappuccino.

"Thanks. Nice party," I complimented and stared around, adoring the place in awe.

"Thanks. And Cameron! Long time no see. Did Los Angeles swallow you whole?" she joked.

He just stared at her with a straight face.

"Oh, I see. You still don't show mercy on my boring jokes," she sighed. "Oh, well, you two come on in. The party is just getting started!" she yelled and we took a sit at a table and made ourselves comfortable.

"Seriously?" I asked Cameron as we just sat there, slowly sipping the alcohol in our glasses.

"What?" he asked, confused.

"You could've at least faked a laugh!" I exclaimed.

"It wasn't funny and I have no idea how to fake a laugh!" he replied with a smile.

"Well okay," I shrugged.

He kept tapping his leg on the floor, restless. All I could do was entertain myself with the phone.

"Let's go somewhere else.." he pleaded finally, breaking the awkward silence.

"Like...." I asked with a surprised look on my face as I brought the phone below my eye level.

"I don't know. I just don't want to waste the night with you here. A hotel or something to chill, perhaps? Or a club? Like the old times.... I just want to get high with you," he whispered with a smirk. I blushed and then chuckled. I mean, I couldn't help it.

"Alright," I agreed, getting bored myself and we both stood up and exited the yacht.

I walked just beside him as we lodged into the hotel and got up to our room. It was nice, spacious and beautiful with a large bed at the middle, a TV opposite, a simple settee at a corner and a balcony. Lovely.

We sat silently on the bed. What was going to  happen? I kept thinking to myself. What was freaking gonna happen?

Slowly, he trailed his hands to my zipper and pulled the zip down. Oh, no!

"W - What are y - you doing?" I asked with a shaky voice as I vibrated and my body immediately felt so heavy and anxious.

"What we always do," he smiled and went on with a grin on his face.

Bell, think!

"I - I don't want to!" I objected and stood up, really scared. Expect the worst!

"You don't want to what?" he asked, coming closer to me. Real close.

My phone! Where the heck was the phone?

"I don't want to. Take me home now," I said and moved backwards.

"You know since you came back, you've been acting really weird. Tell me, do you hate me?" he yelled, coming closer. Really, really close.

I shook my head as tears formed in my eyes.

"Then you have it!" he smiled and dragged me.

"Cameron, let go of me! Please!" I yelled as I cried, as he forced his way to my dress.

He pulled my dress and tore it off my body.

"Please let go!" I screamed,  crying really hard. My face felt so weak and my jaw exhausted from screaming. I could already feel the crown of stars on my head.

"Why?" he asked as he stopped.

"Please," I begged. "Just, please. I can't,"

"Just give me one reason and if itys good enough, I promise to let go," he said and waited. "Except we aren't a thing anymore,"

What could I tell him? What could I say? It was my last chance at leaving that place alive. I needed to tell him the truth. The whole truth.

I thought for a while and saw his rage. He was tensed. He needed her. Not me, Mercedes.

"Because i'm not who you think I am," I blurted without further thinking. I couldn't believe my own words. why?

"What?" he asked, laughing as he settled down beside me on the floor.

"I am not Mercedes," I said, crying and face palmed myself.

"You're joking. You're lying to me! How dare you lie to me? Tell me you're joking," he pleaded as tears ran down his eyes.

"I am not lying. Seriously, I wish it didn't have to come to this point. Everything just...happened," I replied, unsure.

"You are lying!" he shouted, hitting his fist against the wall as they bled and his veins popped off his neck.

"I am not lying. Believe me," I whispered.

"Why should I?" he asked and looked at me.

"I'm just Arabella," I said as my eyes tapped down a river of tears.

"The tattoo. I gave Mercedes a tattoo around her belly button," he said and walked over to me.

Tattoo? Seriously?

"But I don't have it. See," I said and slowly brought the dress down, revealing my empty belly button.

"You aren't Mercedes. What did you do to her?" he asked as he sat on the bed beside me.

"We got switched at the airport. I was with her bags and took her flight  while she took mine," I explained.

"Where exactly is she?"

"I was going to my university. So she's probably still there," I replied.

"Give me the address," he whispered and I sent it to his phone immediately.

"Please don't tell anyone about this," I begged.

"Good luck with whatever you have to do, I don't care but when I find Mercedes we're leaving together. And if I find out you're lying about this........" he trailed off and barged out of the room.

I cried my heart out. I was a wreck. I was a big mess. I stood up and walked up to the table, pouring out the alcohol and getting myself drunk. What if he told? I kept thinking.

I took another gulp of the alcohol and just kept letting the tears flow freely down my cheeks. My face was red and I was entirely devastated.

I could feel the earth turn and I felt so dizzy. My head hurt, my arm hurt, everything hurt.

The last thing I remembered was getting alcohol into my mouth and my head hit against the floor.

Bella....
