Caden's POV

Day four: Woman, prepare the meals.

Background hit: Lucid dreams by Juice WRLD.

Quote: Just because you don't tell me doesn't mean I won't find out.

I stood up stretching as I smacked the alarm clock and got up from the bed. My eyes were really heavy and my body felt so tired, like I ran a Marathon asleep. I had a stinging pain in my back and my head was hurting so much. I didn't know why.

Tiredly, I walked to the closet and picked out an outfit and then went to have a quick shower.

I put on the clothes, did my hair, applied the Cologne and enjoyed my look. Hypnotic.

Impatiently, I grabbed the pack of drugs from a cupboard and grabbed a glass of water from the dispenser. I took the drugs in and with a huge gulped, finished the water.

Adrian sent a message, inviting me to a party at the hall.

Ugh! He was supposed to be at work!

I dropped the phone in my pocket and walked out the door, just in time to catch up with little miss wifey.

"Caden!" she yelped.

"Mercedes," I smiled.

"I wanted to say that - " we both chorused.

"I wanted to tell you that - " we did it again.

"You go first," We repeated.

"Okay, I'll go first. Let's try putting operation 'make both our lives less than a living hell' on a go, alright?" she asked.

"You don't need to ask me twice," I shrugged with a smile.

"What were you going to say?"

"Nothing. Just forget it,"

We walked down the stairs and headed for a nice breakfast.

°°°°°°°°°°°°

It was unusually quiet at the hotel. We walked down to the conference room and took our normal seats at the back row, making little noises as we both struggled to go first.

"Same lady," Mercedes pointed as she whined her seat, slacking it behind.

"I do the resting here!" I hissed and placed my legs on the next row of seats, not concentrated in whatever she was yammering about.

"Caden, help me pass that orphan blue pamphlet," she whispered, pointing to a piece of paper beside me.

It was light blue.

"This? Its light blue," I corrected.

"No. That's clearly orphan blue. Can you not see clearly?" she pointed to the pamphlet once again, and then looked at me in disbelief.

"Are you being serious? Okay, what the fuck is orphan blue? This pamphlet is light blue," I argued.

"You are so impossible. Just pass the orphan blue pamphlet," she hissed, rolling her eyes.

"Say it's light blue first," I ordered.

"Say? Wha? I'm not going to say that! Pass me the pamphlet!" she yelled.

"Then no pamphlet for you," I shrugged with a smirk.

She curled her lip and then blew out her cheeks, folding her arms angrily.

"Day four, ladies and gentlemen. Woman, prepare the meals," The lady announced.

I smirked. Chuckled. And then laughed.

"And what's so funny?" she asked, turning to me.

Her midnight blue eyes piercing into mine and her pretty pink lips curled.

She was damn cute when she was angry.

"Less talking, more hearing. You need this," I whispered, pointing to the stage.

"Women should be the one preparing the meals. They are the builders of their homes," she continued.

I could already see pumpkin burn. Her fists clenched and her eyes vicious.

"I think she's right," I whispered.

"She isn't. She's just being so ignorant!" she shot.

"Think of it, you women should be the ones at home, taking care of things. While we, the men," I smirked proudly. "Work our asses out for the family," I continued with a half bow.

"You don't get it," she sighed and returned her gaze to the lady.

"Make it the nicest. Bring it to him," The lady dramatised her words.

"I'm out of here!" she yelled and stood up, stomping out of the room.

"Wait up!" I yelled, running after her.

"What? I want to go home!" she insisted.

"Okay. Fine. But I have a little business to attend to first," I smiled and we walked out to the parking lot.

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

I pulled over in front of one of my hotels and we both came down, walking towards the reception.

"The party hall, please," I said to the receptionist.

"This way, please," she replied and led us to the elevator, taking us to my big surprise.

"Let's go," I yelped out to Mercedes and led her to my stress reliever. The party hall.

"Why'd you bring me here?" she whined, staring at the whole place and disturbing actions of people. Dancing, bedroom business, and not to talk of the music. Less louder than usual, though.

"Let's party!" I yelled back, leading her to the floor and swaying my hands in the air.

"Who's the blonde?" Mackenzie asked as she approached us with a cigar in one hand a glass of alcohol in the other.

"Mercedes meet Mackenzie," I introduced

"Your girlfriend?" Mercedes butted in.

"No. No. No." I cut her shot.

"His ex," Mackenzie replied with a sly smile, puffing out smoke from her mouth.

"So, why are you here?" Mackenzie asked, staring viciously at Mercedes.

"Well, it was his idea," she replied.

"Caden?" she snapped at me and I jerked at her words.

"What? We were stressed out and decided to chill out. Its my property, anyway," I shrugged.

"Right. So I should leave. Bye," she said quietly and left.

"I never said so!" I yelled as she walked out the door in anger.

"And you manage to keep up with her?" Mercedes raised a brow at me.

I nodded with a smile.

"She's nice if you get to know her," I tried convincing.

"I'd rather not," she shrugged.

"So -"

"Do you love her?" she asked somewhat sincerely. I just could tell from the look she played on her face.

"Well, we're just friends. Nothing more," I replied.

"Then why is she your ex?"

"Quit it with all the questions already. Let's enjoy the party!" I yelled and mixed with a crowd.

What's with the questions?

"So, what's with you and partying?" Mercedes asked as we found our seats at the counter after much dancing and drinking while she stood, watching me.

"It relieves me of stress," I replied simply.

"Liar! I can tell how many ladies you've fucked with in this room," she rolled her eyes.

"Jesus!" I laughed. "I'm not that bad."

"Yes you are. And you think you're so cute," she continued and sighed loudly.

"Well, that's true. I am cute,"

"Your not!" she shot acidly and rolled her eyes.

Christ! She got some attitude!

"So, tell me more about Mackenzie," she started again.

"Why?" I asked.

"No reason," she shrugged. "Just bored."

"Well, she's just a friend,"

"Well, okay then. Tell me one thing. Does she like you - "

"Enough with the questions!" I raged and stood up.

Could she at least hide a bit of her jealousy? She was so obsessed with me and - argh!
