Bella's POV

Although I said that in my mind, so no one heard it but me, luckily.

"I said i'm okay. I am okay!" I sighed and took a bite of the sandwich in my plate.

"Either ways, we're going to Thompson to have a checkup on you," Papi insisted and shook his head, worried about me.

I rolled my eyes. Mercedes was the insane one. Not me.

"We hope you wouldn't have to end up in an asylum," Mum sighed and sipped her coffee.

"No! I am fine! I am NOT crazy! I'm perfectly fine," I argued, trying my best not to believe what they were saying.

"We won't know that for sure, especially with your recent abnormal, infantile and juvenile behaviour. You've got to put your act together to prove that to us," Mamasita added and shot me a dirty look.

"I agree with your mum on this one,"

"But...." I trailed off.

"Shut your mouth and eat your food. We're running late," Papi shot at me before continuing with his breakfast.

That was not okay! I was not loco!

°°°°°°°°°

"Mercedes here is all good. She's just been stressed out a lot lately, and needs a lot of rest, and plenty of water. That's all," Dr. Thompson said with  a fair smile.

"I told you so," I said to mamasita and papi. In my mind.

"Thanks, doc. Sure, She'll get enough rest. Be sure to come to her wedding party," Papi said happily and stretched his hand for a handshake.

"Of course. I wouldn't miss it for the world," he replied and left, closing the door with a grin on his lips.

I sighed and looked at mamasita and papi.

"Okay, dear. You win! You're okay. But you still have to get some rest, remember!" Papi stroked my hair evenly as I sat on the stretcher.

"Yeah, yeah, yadda yadda, whatever," I replied, still in my mind. I smiled and got up, glancing at papi with a blissful smile.

"Let's go?" Mamasita said.

"Of course," I replied and papi led the way.

°°°°°°°°°°°

We were seated in the car, and it was really quiet. Really, really quiet. Apart from Miss Banks who kept receiving calls and rescheduling my schedule for my return to work.

God, she loved the job more than her life! Jeez!

And Caden just sat there like a big bag of nothing as usual.... I just stared out the window, thinking and hoping my cover doesn't get blown.

"Querida.." Papi started and I turned back at him.

Oh boy!

"Why don't you sit with your hubby here, Caden. Is something wrong?" he continued, fixing his gaze at Caden.

I stared at Caden. He looked as cocky and snubby as ever! I rejected the thought of going near that poisonous venom. Not even for the world.

"The view from here is perfect. I like it here," I lied and curved a ridiculously fake smile on my lips.

"Are you lying?" Mamasita asked, raising a brow. It seemed she knew me inside out so I just blurted out a little chuckle before I replied.

"Yes,"

"Caden, why don't you sit with her. You two should probably be cuddling in trips like this," Papi said with a chuckle and poked Mamasita's shoulder.

I puked in my stomach! Ewe. Hell no. I was not gonna sweat my time on that good for nothing pain in the neck. I was going no where near that rude dude.

"We're okay. Just had a normal argument, you know....." Caden said and shrugged, fixing a quick glance at me but then returning it to papi.

"Oh, that's normal. You see, when your mum and I got married....Blah blah, yadda yadda...

He was just gonna rant about the history of their relationship and I cared nothing about the words he said.

°°°°°°°°°°°°°

"Honey, you get some rest. Luckily, the black diamond wasn't ready because Miss Evelyn had an emergency and her assistant was ill. You almost lost your chance over there. But, we've rescheduled and you'll be having your fantastic love story tomorrow, with Caden. Make it a lot more passionate, and just......you know what to do, dear. We trust you," Papi said with a smile.

"Thanks," I replied.

"Get some rest. Tomorrow is gonna be a long day. You guys had better start practicing kissing, because you're gonna do that tomorrow. Immediately after the love story. Why am I even stressing about it, you two know what to do. Do not mess this up!" Mamasita warned with a sigh.

Oh, she needed to stress it because I had no idea what being in control felt like at that moment.

"Yes, sure. Thank you," I nodded with a slight smile.

"Take care. We'll be going now,"

"Good bye," he closed the door.

I slumped on the couch, and stared heavenward.

"Shall we go, ma'am, sir." Miss Banks said with the tablet glued to her hand and her eyes concentrated on the screen.

"Go to...." I trailed off, having no idea what she was talking about.

"You're having a makeover at the beauty salon, scheduled 10am," she looked up at me and smiled, then returned her gaze to the tablet.

"Oh, right. And why am I doing this again?" I asked, overly stressed.

"To get you up and ready for the rehearsal tomorrow. The love story would be all over the magazines, so you need to look perfect. Too perfect as a matter of fact," she chuckled and shook her head.

"Okay. Let's go," I finally said and rolled my eyes, heaving a loud sigh.

"Sir?" she said to Caden who had his eyes already fixed on his computer and working like crazy.

"I'm coming. Just five minutes," he didn't even look up but kept typing some stuff on his computer.

(Thirty minutes later)

"And......done!"

"Ma'am.....Miss Mercedes......he's finally done...let's go?" Ms. B said, tapping my sleeping body as I sat up from the couch.

"What?" I asked, rubbing my eyes and dreading ditching that good sleep.

"He's ready. Let's go?" she asked.

"Oh, right. Okay, let's go." I said and stood up,putting my shoes back on and grabbing my purse.

He didn't even apologize for taking a hell of time. He was such a nitwit! What did I even expect from him?

We walked to the door and all of a sudden, this juvenile delinquent just brushed my shoulder, HARD, almost leading me to the floor.

"Excuse you!" I yelled and turned at him.

"Wait. What?" he asked, acting all dumb.

"Oh, what you ask.....you are such a..a...a...."

"Young billionaire, tall, handsome, super intelligent, perfect pointed nose, cute dimples, perfect skin, marvellous hair, glorious scent, a loaded account and a hundred percent corky, a person you've been crushing on for forever but can't find a way to profess your love? Yeah, I know," he smirked and got into the limo.

Ugh! He was so full of himself!

He was just so Corky, arrogant, and annoying. VERY ANNOYING! I hated him like seriously.

I stepped into the car along with Miss Banks and Lukas drove off.

"Ma'am, your schedule for tod..." Miss B started.

"Please, later. I'm quite....."

"Lazy?" Caden interrupted with a chuckle.

I swear I was gonna kill that moron someday.

"Actually, if you hadn't taken.." I started in my defense.

"If I hadn't nothing. Just admit to your laziness, and incompetence. And a little bit clumsiness. Hundred percent annoying and twenty percent sensible. Be like me, perfect!" he said with a smirk, clearing both shoulders like he was some god and smirking his life out.

Okay, that dude had reached the limits. No one's perfect! Even Tatiana Manaois sang that! He was merely delusional! He needed Dr. Thompson more than I did.

"Perfect?" I asked with a chuckle and stared at him.

He seemed interested and turned to me. It seemed really interesting.

"No one's perfect. You aren't even near perfect! You're just a corky scumbag who manages to have money....." I yelled and sighed.

"And mind you, I'm a billionaire," I added.

He laughed and gave a disbelieving look that kinda convinced me that I woke the wrong lion.

He just glanced at me with an angry look and turned away. There were tons of things I wanted to say for real, but I couldn't. Mostly because I would be toast if I did. Ranging from telling his ass that he married the wrong girl and laughing wildly at his expression.
