Bella's POV

"Hey, Dar?" I bawled as the phone danced in my uneasy hands, sweating profusely like it ran a marathon.

"Hey, Bella. What's up! How'd the lunch go?" she popped, sounding nervous for me. I don't blame her though. I was really nervous about myself. Really, really nervous.

"It was okay. But I have a bigger problem," I blurted dramatically. But I guess things can't get any more dramatic in this situation.

"What now?" she sighed, probably rolling her denim blue crystal lit eyes.

"There's a press con tomorrow, and I am going to be on TV. And guess what?" I cringed.

"What?" I could tell she rolled her eyes again as her heart thumped faster.

I swallowed down a lump in my throat and breathed in and out twice before breaking the terrible horrible no good very bad news to her.

"I am kinda married?" I blurted in a loud whisper and chewed my artificial fingernails anxiously.

"What?" she screamed loudly over the phone like she was using a microphone or something. I totally understood her surprise.

"Keep it down!" I cautioned and slumped on the bed, burying my head in the pillow.

"Keep nothing down! You cannot be serious! You are joking," she cried out in disbelief.

"I am dead serious! I don't know what to do," I panicked, getting my head from the pillow and stared heavenward.

"Bella, you need to get back here! Tell them the truth or I'm sorry. I'll have to do so," she threatened in a fierce tone and a sigh.

"Dar, you don't understand what's at stake here,"

I whispered and stood up again, looking for ways to explain the situation to her.

I walked to the balcony and sat on an electric blue comfort hammock, rolling my legs offhandedly on the roller skate.

"I don't want to understand, Bella! Tell the truth already," she cried out. "If ever you get into a messier mess than this, don't you dare call me," she hung up.

I sighed and let the skateboard roll-off away from my leg and I watched it sternly. I stood up and returned to the room, closing the balcony door and resting on the dresser stool.

Gosh, I am so confused right now.

If I did, then my life will return, or it may be worse. I may be arrested for impersonation and who knows how many wasted years I'll spend in jail? I placed my hands on my face and sighed, fighting back the tears that forced their way down my eyes.

I pouted my lips in sadness, looking around the whole room and then sat up. Then I grabbed the jar of ice cream and took a spoon of it.

"This is good ice cream," I muttered to myself with a doleful expression on my face.

I grabbed the remote control that laid on my study table and turned on the TV. Too anxious to concentrate on the show that was on, I turned it off, gently removed the robe off my body and kept it in its previous position on the hanger stand by the bed.

"I need to study," I mumbled to myself smugly and dreaded the fact that my glasses weren't here. Standing up from the stool, I walked over to the closet and looked around. There were lots of cupboards and wardrobes, coupled with gigantic boxes arranged neatly by the end. A large mirror stood on the wall. I searched around and found a mini cupboard labelled 'socks'. Awesome!

I carelessly dipped my hand in the cupboard and stuck my face in, searching for something perfect for the weather. Finally, I found a fury cozy pink sock with fancy glitter on them. These look pretty expensive. I put them on, and walked to the mirror, admiring the whole outlook with pleasure.

I looked so - what's the word? Yeah, different. I never looked at myself in the mirror half-naked and thought - I've got what it takes to make any man swoon over me. Any man exception of that billionaire delinquent down there.

Apart from being a nerd who never cares about boyfriends, parties, bonfires or most especially, sex, I actually look pretty good.

I'm not blowing my own trumpet though. I turned around and turned my head, staring at the mirror, and checked myself out.

Speaking of bonfires, I saw an invitation on the top shelf inviting Mercedes for one in a month. I hate. hate. hate.... bonfires. It's just a bunch of stuck-up snobs getting drunk and trying to have sex with each other. Gross!

I tried out the trending legit Instagram poses Dar always obsesses over.

"We're supposed to - " Caden barged in.

He stared at me from the head to toe, his eyes wide open like my body. Perv!

I screamed loudly at the top of my voice, "Pervert. Get. out!"

He still stared. Oh My God.

Bella wake up. It's just a silly nightmare.

Wake up. Wake up. Wake up.

Immediately, he snapped out, stomped into the room, grabbed me and dumped me across his shoulder and headed out with a determined look on his face.

"Put me down! What are you doing! You're a pervert! I'm telling on you!" I kept yelling with my body off the floor and in his hands.

He walked down the stairs with my constant yelling and screaming. Damn was I loud! He put me down on the couch in the living room with only my sports bra, hot pants, and socks on.

Panting, he cleaned off the sweat that fell down his face with a nice dashiki material handkerchief from his pocket, tired of my screaming, shouting and yelling.

I attempted an escape, covering my chest with one of the throw pillows. I mean, my cleavage was wide open and this dude is indirectly taking advantage of me.

He pushed me back to the couch and placed his hands on his waist, staring at me pathetically.

Don't cage me in your arms.

Don't cage me in your arms.

Don't cage me in your arms.

"What are you doing, JERK?" I fired, hot-headed as rage throbbed in me like a heartbeat.

"YOU are gonna listen to ME!" he stated, voice as hard and harsh as a rock.

I sighed. Oh, boy!

"First and foremost, you aren't taking the upstairs bedroom. Reasons are, it's the master bedroom and has the king-size bed. I got my stuff there too. And it's really wide. I mean, come on. It's the master bedroom, as in MASTER BEDROOM!" he overemphasized acidly. "Hang in the other bedroom by the left!" He ordered.

"Oh?" I raised a brow and crossed my arms across my chest with a poignant sigh of distress.

He nodded, knitting his brows and his edge of irritation had returned.

Immediately, I stood up to run back but he grabbed me by my waist, and pushed me back to the couch, leaving my butt In a pitiful state of pain and agony.

"Good try," he snarled.

"So, are you done?" I asked with a voice too crooked to sound normal, folding my arms.

"Um, what?" he asked with a smirk.

"Are you done checking me out?" I asked again with a determined look on my face.

"No, I wasn't. I - uh -" he stuttered.

I sighed. Jesus! What is wrong with him?

"I ain't checking you out! Gross!" he shot with a shrug.

"Oh?" I asked, placing my hands on my waist.

"Yeah - uhm - Shut it! I'm not done talking!"

he finally blurted, recovering from his stutter.

"Second of all, never EVER try that again.

Third, you do the cooking. I mean come on, it's for you, the woman," he said with a little chuckle that echoed something like mockery.

Look how he said woman like I was fifty-seven or something! And who's he to say that? I ain't gonna do no cooking for no fucking lazy ignorant bitch!

"And before I forget, we don't ever have to talk! You are so not my type, and I hate being around people so clumsy. So, don't talk to me, except if we're in front of our parents. Especially yours. God, they are so pushy," he rolled his eyes.

"Last but not the least, never barge into my room, never try to play the part of the jealous girlfriend or wife. Whatever it is. And never fall in love with me. I mean, I'm hot, rich, sexy, and really cute. Just admire from afar," he pointed, making little gestures that somewhat breathed his stupid pride.

"Don't fall for me and the next morning you start acting all cozy and warm, saying things like the shirt looks really good. Oh my gosh! OR Caden, I've fallen in love with you," he said in a fifteen-year-old teenage girl's voice and rolled his eyes the way a teenage girl would.

"I hate it! And if ever you do fall in love, this contract is over. I don't care what yours or my parents think! I wouldn't want to spend a lifetime with you!" he stopped to breathe for a moment. "I think that should be all for now. Good night. And those pants are pretty lame. There wasn't much to see, anyway. For the top, it's - how do I put it? pretty awkward, and those cleavages aren't worth glancing at." he smirked.

The whole while, I just stood glaring at him as my blood boiled in anger.

"I'm done here. Got a lot of work as a billionaire I happen to be, so if you don't mind, go off to your room "he ended.

Okay, I felt pretty hurt. That was a bunch of awful things he just said there. I was down, heartbroken. Mercedes is a billionaire too, isn't she? Why did he treat her - me, I dunno. Like

shit! He is so arrogant.

That was so heartbreaking. Maybe Darcy is right. I need to go home. I seriously need to go home. Good luck to Mercedes handling this punishment.

"Last thing! Seeing you all frazzled up like this is great! Try getting annoyed often," he smirked.

I stood up with hot bowls of tears in my eyes and my face really pale and turned to go.

I wanted to talk back, but I was so hurt.

I guess it's okay to feel a little insecure at times.

I took few steps and finally went upstairs. Not to any room actually. I climbed a stair leading to the attic, and then the roof. It was a nice open space with a bunch of ornamental flowers, a nice wooden hammock, and a good city view.

I sat on the hammock and sighed. I thought of what happened a few minutes ago. His stupid voice kept roaming in my head. It was driving me over the bend. It was freaking me out.

That was all a waste of time and energy. I think I know exactly what's happening here and it's all clear to me now. Just two options at hand.

1. Tell the truth and get the consequences.

2. Live a lie and smile in suffering.

It's option one. It's better. Better than living a lie when I'm supposed to be studying. I should have done this earlier.

I smiled and inhaled the fresh breeze through my nostrils ad it calmed my nerves down and placed a beautiful smile on my face.

I finally felt relaxed. I knew exactly what I was going to do.
