CHAPTER 4

Kiara's P.O.V

"Eliara, Eliara." We called out as we entered the house when we got back.

"I'm in the kitchen. (We followed her voice and went to the kitchen, dropping our bags in the living room.) Hey, girls. How was your first day at school?" Eliara asked when we got to kitchen. "Great. We made some friends and I think 3 enemies." Korra answered as we sat down at the dining table.

"Enemies? So soon. What happened?" Eliara asked as she set down plates and one large plate of sandwiches.

"Well, one of them made the mistake of threatening Kiara and Kiara responded in her own deadly way." Elissa answered with a smirk.

"Why did she threaten her?"

"She told her to stay away from Alpha Mendez's son." Kara answered when Eliara brought in a tray with glasses and a pitcher full of pink lemonade on it.

"Ah, let me guess. She's a supposed queen bee."

"Yep. According a girl in school and the she-devil herself, she's the daughter of Dark Ridge's alpha. Alpha Zachary Daniels." Carissa informed.

"Zachary Daniels, that sly snake. I guess this apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Anyway, enough about that snake and his viper daughter, let's eat." We nodded.

"By the way, Eliara, where the maids and guards? I just realized that they're not around." I asked as we ate.

"Oh yes. I thought about what you said about what we would have to say when anyone asked about them and I realized that, if we really want this cover up to work then they couldn't be here. Because we are well protected and capable of taking care of stuff around here, so I talked about it with your parents and sent them home." I nodded in understanding. As we continued to eat, we talked about different things.

After eating, I grabbed my bag and went upstairs to my room and changed into a pair of shorts and a tank top. I looked around and went outside of the room to stand at the top of the stairs.

"Eliara, do you know where my guitar is?" I called out.

"Uh, yes. Check the further part of your closet. I'm sure one of the maids put it there." I went back into my room and check the closet and there sat my guitar. I took it plus my song book and went out downstairs to the garden behind the house. I sat down in the grass and took in my surroundings. I took my guitar out from its bag and opened my song book to find a song to play. Kara and Elissa joined me as I looked for a song.

"Hey, looking for a song to play?" Kara asked as she also sat down with her guitar.

"Yep." I answered, stopping my search and looked at them. Elissa took the book from me and look through as well then handed it to me showing me a page.

"What about this one?" She asked.

"'Song2u.' Haven't played that one in a while. Kara?" I looked to my sister.

"Yep. Let's play it." I started playing the intro with Kara then Elissa started singing, then after a few lines, Kara and I joined in singing. We heard a slow clap from behind us in the doorway to the garden, when we finished singing. We turned to find Raelynn and Nicki standing there.

"Wow. Ok, that was some of the best singing I've ever heard." Rae said as they came into the garden and sat by us.

"Me too."

"Thanks. What brings you guys by?" I asked as Kara and I set our guitars aside.

"Oh, your aunt let us in. we came by to invite you guys including your aunt to the barbeque cocktail party my mum organized to welcome you. She said you're not allowed to say no." Nicki informed.

"Then I guess the only thing we can say is we'll be there." Kara said.

"Great. Can't wait to see you then. We gotta go. We're helping with preparations because someone decided to volunteer us. Anyway, the party's gonna be in the pack house backyard, Nicki and I will be here to take you there around 7." Rae said.

"Ok. We'll be ready by then." Kara assured. They both nodded then left.

"It's five now. I'll go tell Korra and Carissa." Elissa said.

"Ok, thanks Ellie." I said. Elissa got up then left to go upstairs. I looked to Kara to ask about our outfits and it seemed she was getting the same ideas as me.

"Same outfits or similar outfits?" I asked.

"Same outfits." Kara answered.

"Definitely same outfits." Korra said through our mind link.

"Then my room to discuss outfits." Kara said. I nodded then we both got up, grabbed our guitars and my song book and went up to Kara's room where we met Korra to discuss our outfits. 10 minutes later we decided on this outfit.

And decided to put our hair into a half up half down style. That being decided, we all went to our various rooms, Kara obviously staying in hers, and showered then put on the decided outfit and put our hair into the decided style. Now, we were all set for the party and headed downstairs to join Eliara, Carissa and Ellie.

As promised, Rae and Nicki came to get us at 7 and led the way to the party venue. When we got there, the Alpha and the Luna came over to welcome us, then pulled Eliara with them to where they were going, leaving us with Raelynn and Nicola.

"Come on, we wanna introduce you to everybody but first let's get you guys a drink." Nicki said as she and Rae pulled us along. And true to their word, they introduced us to everybody. By the time they were done introducing us, my head was spinning with all the new info. They then pulled us to the dance floor when their favorite song came on.

After dancing with them for a while, I excused myself and went over to the drinks table and grabbed one then I went over to the side where there were less people and leaned against the wall, watching my sisters have fun dancing with Ellie, Rissa (Carissa), Nicki and Rae.

"Now what is a beautiful girl like yourself doing standing here all by your lonesome?" I heard a guy ask as he approached me. I turned to see one of the boys Nicki had introduced us to tonight, Nicholas' best friend, Alexander Marshall.

"Oh hey, Alexander, right?"

"Yeah, that's right. You can call me Alec. Forgive me but which of the triplets are you? I'm sorry, it's just you guys look so alike it's confusing and add on that you wore the same outfit tonight, it makes it hard to tell who is who."

"It's okay. I'm Kiara. I guess we can't really blame you. Only people who really know us like our cousins and aunt can tell us apart when we decide to dress identically but even they get confused sometimes." We both chuckled.

"So what are you doing here? Why aren't you over there dancing with your sisters and cousins?"

"Let's just say I'm not really that good at partying. At some point, I tend to take a breather from all the noise and people."

"Ah, I see. Well then why don't we get some of those shish kabobs and find somewhere to sit then you can tell me all about you?" I smiled and chuckled.

"Is this how you pick up all your girls?" I asked with a playful smirk.

"No. This is how I pick up my new friends. Now stop being a smart ass and come on." I laughed and followed him to the food table where he picked a plate of shish kabobs for each of us and then he led me to a further part of the backyard but still a little close to where the party was on going, where we could sit down and talk. And talk we did. He told me about himself and I told him about me, as usual, some lies, some truths and some half-truths. Then we moved on to talk about other random things. For some reason, I felt comfortable talking with him which doesn't happen often. Then again he was a good conversationalist.

Before we knew it, we had spoken for a long time, not noticing that the party was almost over. We exchanged numbers before we parted. I went over to stand with my sisters who were chatting happily with Nicki, Rae, Rissa and Ellie.

"Where you been? We've been looking for you since you slipped away with that cutie." Kara said.

"Wow, slow down there, miss matchmaker." I said.

"Cutie? Which cutie?" Rissa asked with a smirk on her lips.

"Ok, first, stop calling him cutie and second, we were just sitting a little away from the party. You know me, I like to take a breather."

"Ok. But you didn't answer Rissa's question. Which cutie- (I gave her a look.) Sorry, which boy did you slip away with?" Nicki asked with interest.

"Your brother's best friend, Alexander. We were just talking."

"Well, it must have been some conversation because, one, when you take a breather at a party, you usually want to be left alone, and two, you snap at guys who try to talk to you at that time. Mostly because they try to hit on you." Korra said.

"Exactly. They try to hit on me. He didn't try to do that plus for some reason I felt really comfortable talking to him."

"I'm guessing that doesn't happen often, does it?" Rae asked.

"No." Kara, Ellie, Rissa, Korra and I said at the same time.

"Well, that's Alec for you. He has that atmosphere around him. It's why we all think he'll make a good Beta for Nick." Nicki said. Rae nodded in agreement.

"Well, that's up to both of them to decide, isn't it? Anyway, thanks for the party, it was great but we gotta go. We'll see at school tomorrow. See you." The five of us bid them goodbye then went back to the house then we settled in for the night.

It's been a week and three days already since we came here. I woke up to someone yanking my blanket off my body. I opened my bed and found Eliara standing at the foot of the bed with a smile.

"Morning, sleeping beauty. Come on, get up. I let you sleep long enough. It's 7. School's in 30 minutes." She said as she walked out of my room. I groaned and rolled out of bed and went to shower. I then picked my outfit for the day and put it on.

I towel-dried my hair then I pulled some strands from both sides to the back and tied them together with a hair clip. I applied red lipstick as my only makeup. Then I grabbed a black shoulder bag and transferred my stuff from the black Prada handbag into it as well as my phone and tablet. Then I came down and ate, then we headed off to school, this time we took two cars, me and Korra in one and Kara and Carissa in one. Elissa wasn't coming to school today cuz she wasn't feeling well. We got to school just in time and headed off to our 1st classes.

Lunch time........

I was putting a book inside my locker before I headed off for lunch when I felt the presence of a male wolf I didn't recognize behind me.

"Can I help you or did you come just to stare at me?" I said without turning to face whoever it was.

"Are you at least going to turn around? You know it's rude to speak to a person with your back towards them." I closed my locker and turned to look at with a disinterested face.

"Happy?"

"Nope. Could you at least smile? (I maintained my expression.) Anyway, I'm Caleb Rivers and I was hoping we could be friends and soon more." He smiled.

"Really now? And why is that?"

"Well, because I'm a nice and cool guy. Plus I'm the quarter back of our football team and you're the hottest girl in school, we'd make a wonderful couple. Tell you what, why don't we go out Friday night? Come on, there's no reason to say no."

"I can think of a few, like one, I'm not interested, two, I don't like you, three, you're not my type, four, you're currently dating Brooke Sherman which means you're already taken, five, I don't date obnoxious guys who are players and don't seem to care that they're already in a relationship before trying to hit on another girl and six, you're a douchebag. That's six reasons to say no and there's more I'd rather not mention, so unless you want me to humiliate and treat you like the ass you are, I suggest stay away from me." I said with a hard glare then walked to the cafeteria. I grabbed a bottle of juice from the counter then went to sit with Kara, Korra, Carissa and our friends.

"Hey, Kiara, you okay? I can feel your anger rolling off of you." Alexander asked me.

"I'm fine." I answered.

"Uh-uh, we know that pissed off look. An obnoxious prick tried to hit on you, didn't he?" Korra said.

"Yep. Said his name was Caleb Rivers." I informed. All the heads of our friends snapped up to look at me in surprise.

"Caleb Rivers tried to hit on you?" Nick asked with a little anger in his voice.

"Isn't he currently dating one of Brittany's sidekicks? What was her name, yeah, Brooke Sherman?" Carissa asked.

"I don't think he cares. He's the biggest player in the school. Tried to hit on me once, but I turned him down." Caitlin said.

"Well, so did I. Can we talk about something else please? The thought of that ass makes me want to hurl." I said, taking a big gulp of my juice. The subject was changed immediately which was a big relief for me. Soon lunch was over and we had to return to class.
