ALPHA QUEEN2,219 words~12 min read

Kiara's P.O.V

Morning came sooner than we thought. I dragged myself out of bed and went to shower. I came out feeling refreshed and put on the outfit that had been laid there for me. I blow-dried my hair put it into a side french braid and applied light makeup. I grabbed my phone and iPad and placed it inside my shoulder bag along with some other necessary items. I took one last look around my room and took in the fact that most of my clothes had been already packed along with my shoes and jewellery. I sighed and went downstairs to join my family for breakfast. Apparently, I was the last to the table. I muttered my apologies and took my seat by mom. A maid then came and placed my plate of chocolate pancakes with a small bowl of chocolate sauce by it and my usual glass of pineapple and coconut juice in front of me. I thanked her and began to eat. As we ate, Dad explained that only the Alpha of the pack whose territory we were staying in, knows who we really were and our status. Not even his Beta, Luna or son know. To the pack, we were just a bunch of sibling wolves who were staying on the pack land for a year before we went back to our own pack.

"Now as you are there, you will go under the surname of Williams which is actually my grandfather's middle name. You are going to a school for only werewolves so you are to hide the scent of your royal status, which you all can do, and just pose as normal werewolves while you're there till you are called home. We wouldn't want someone finding out who you are and putting you three in danger." Mom said, when we had finished eating. The 3 of us nodded in understanding.

"You will be going with 3 guards, 3 maids, Eliara and Carissa and Elissa, Auriana's apprentices. Carissa and Elissa will be going to school with you girls which by the way starts tomorrow. Though we couldn't have you to be in the same classes, we made sure there's at least two of you in almost every class except gym class. That's the only class you five will be together in. And girls, please try not to sleep in class." Dad advised.

"Dad, why would we sleep in cla--?" Korra trailed off as she realized the answer to her question the same time we did.

"Oh God, no." Kara groaned.

"We're way ahead of them, aren't we?" I asked, to which our parents nodded yes in answer.

"You've got to be kidding me." Korra muttered.

"Sorry girls, but we couldn't exactly place you in college either yet so this was our only option." Mom explained.

"No worries, we'll just pretend to pay attention." Kara said with a smile. Korra and I giggled at that since we knew what she actually meant. Mom and Dad shook their heads and chuckled. A guard entered then and spoke to Dad then left.

"Girls, the plane is ready. It's time to go." Dad told us. We nodded and stood up with our parents and left to castle driveway. We all got into the waiting car which drove us to the private airfield. On the way, Mom and Dad brought out 3 necklace boxes and gave one to each of us. We opened them and found a wolf pendant necklace each for all three of us.

"They're beautiful, mom and dad." Korra and Kara said.

"Think of them as early birthday gifts. They belonged to your grandmother, all three of them. Well, technically they were for her and her best friends. She asked us to give these to you when you turn 18. And we feel now is as good a time as any." Dad explained as we put on the necklaces.

"Thanks, mom and dad." I said with a smile.

"Your Majesties, we have reached the airfield." The driver announced from his seat. It was then I noticed that the car had come to a stop.

"Thank you, Nathan." Mom replied. A guard opened the door for us to get out. Dad got out first, then Mom, then Kara, Korra and finally me. Mom and Dad walked us all the way to the staircase leading into the the plane.

"It's time to go, girls." Dad said. Then he and mom pulled all 3 of us into their arms for a hug.

"We'll miss you so much, sweethearts but no matter what remember that we'll always love you." Mom said with tears in her eyes. We nodded.

"We love you too, mom and dad." The 3 of us said.

"Your Highnesses, everything is set and we're ready to go." Eliara said, causing us to break out of the hug. Dad nodded at her then he and mom kissed each of our foreheads.

"Protect them, Eliara." Mom ordered Eliara.

"With my life, Your Majesty. Girls, let's go." We nodded and said goodbye to our parents then we hopped onto the plane. We watched as our parents got back into the car and were driven out from the airfield back to the castle. My sisters and I then settled in for the long flight to California. I slipped on my headphones and played songs, blocking out everything and everyone then I closed my eyes.

After what seemed like hours, I was woken up when I felt someone poking my arm. It was Korra. I looked around and saw everyone getting off the plane. I realized it was late afternoon.

"We've arrived, KK. You slept throughout the entire flight. You okay?" I got up and stretched, before I pulled of the headphones.

"Yeah, I guess the music I was listening to lulled me to sleep." I said as I picked up my shoulder bag and stuffed my headphones into it while Korra grabbed my iPad to check what song I had been listening to as I slept.

"You fell asleep while listening Jack Savoretti's 'Fight Til' The End'? Wow, sis. You are one interesting person."

"Uh-huh, come let's go before they think something has happened to us." Korra giggled and together we got off the plane and joined the others inside the airport. I'm sure you're wondering what exactly we're doing at the airport when we should have landed in a private airfield. Well, since we are in a way undercover as normal werewolves and normal, moderately rich werewolves don't travel by private airplanes or with the royal family's private jet. We learned that Eliara had already gone ahead with our bags and the servants in two cars already to the house, leaving me and my siblings and Carissa and Elissa to come in the last car. We got to the house 20 minutes later to find the Alpha waiting for us with his Luna.

"Welcome to Red Moon Pack. We hope that you had a wonderful flight." The Luna greeted.

"Thank you, Luna Mendez. And thank you, Alpha Mendez, for agreeing to accommodate us on your land for the entire school year." I said.

"Happy to do it, darling. Your parents are good friends of mine and they've done a lot for me. This is the least I could do for them. Well, we'll let you girls settle in. Oh, and school starts tomorrow so if you would like, I could have someone take you there since this is like your first time going there." The alpha suggested.

"Oh that won't be necessary, Alpha. Carissa and Elissa have been here before so we shouldn't find it hard to find our way." Kara explained, lying in the process.

"Well then, you're welcome once again. We'll be leaving now." We nodded and watched as they walked to their car which I hadn't noticed was parked on the side of our driveway. We then went inside.

"Kara, why did you lie to the Alpha about us being here before?" Elissa asked as we sat down in the living room.

"It's because we've been here before with our parents but if we had said that the Luna would have noticed that it doesn't add up to the story our parents told the alpha to tell his pack." I explained. Just then, Korra yawned.

"I don't know about you girls but I'm feeling jet lagged so I'm gonna go get a room and crash." She said then left us.

"I think we should all get some sleep. Remember school starts tomorrow." I said. Everyone nodded in agreement. I sighed and picked up my bag which I had dropped on the couch behind me then I went upstairs to the room I occupied the last time I was here and Kara went to hers but not before showing Carissa and Elissa their rooms. I dropped my bag on the desk in the room and headed to the bathroom to shower then I put on a blue chemise nightgown. I know it's not yet night but I knew I wouldn't wake till morning. Before I could get onto my bed, a knock sounded on my door.

"Who is it?" I asked in a tired voice.

"It's me, Eliara, princess. May I come in?"

"Yes, come in," I answered. I climbed onto the bed as Eliara entered.

"I came to ask if you and your sisters would want dinner."

"I don't know about my sisters but I don't think I'll be awake for dinner and I don't think my sisters will be either. Besides you should all rest. You are all tired as we are and could do with some rest."

"Of course. Thank you, princess. See you tomorrow then." Eliara said, then left. I picked my phone and did some reading before falling asleep.

I woke up to the sound of an alarm the next morning. I shot up in bed due to the loudness and turned to look at the time. It was 6:30am. I groaned and laid back on the bed with my arm over my eyes, when I remembered school was starting today. I heard my door open and removed my arm from my eyes to see Eliara standing at the foot of the bed.

"Time to wake up, princess. You have school today, remember?" I sighed and sat up in bed.

"Yeah, I know. Can't we miss it for today?" I whined.

"Nope. Your parents may have forgotten to mention this but while we are here, I get to pose as an Aunt to all five of you. So that means..." She trailed off with a smirk. I groaned.

"You get to boss us around for a year as our aunt and guardian in and out of the house to avoid suspicion."

"Precisely."

"Yep, they totally forgot to mention that but I don't mind. You've always been like an aunt to us minus the fact that it used to be us giving orders. I'm guessing that explains the casual attire you're in."

"Yep, now get up. You have school in 30 mins."

"And the role play begins. Hey, Eliara. Suppose we invited someone from school over, how would we explain the maids and the guards?" I asked as I got up from bed.

"Simple. When you five were coming, the 'alpha of our pack decided to send them along with you to ensure comfort and safety. Now, enough with the questions. I know you're stalling. I have to go wake up your siblings and the apprentices." I chuckled as she left my room. I stretched and got up from bed then headed to the bathroom to shower. I then got dressed. I sat in front of the mirror and blow-dried my hair before putting it into a ponytail and then applied my usual minimal make-up, just mascara, eyeliner, lip gloss and light eye shadow. Then to complete the look, I put on the necklace mom and dad had gotten for us. I then packed my phone, a book and other necessities into a black Prada hand bag and wore a black suede jacket over my outfit. I then headed downstairs to the kitchen and joined my sisters as well as Carissa and Elissa at the table as Eliara placed plates of scrambled eggs and sausages in front of us with glasses of orange juice.

"Hey Kiara, did Eliara already tell you about her 'auntie' persona?" Kara asked as we ate.

"Yep, she dropped it on me when she came to wake me up." I answered.

"Wow, how did mom and dad forget to mention that detail?" Korra asked.

"They didn't. They intentionally omitted it per Eliara's request just so she could see the look on our faces when she told us. Isn't that right, Eliara?" I asked as Eliara joined us at the table with her own plate and glass of juice.

"Very right, sweetheart. Eat up or you'll be late for school." We all chuckled at Eliara already slipping into her role. After breakfast, I grabbed the keys to the Ferrari which had been parked in the driveway with a Porsche for our use. All the other cars were parked in the underground garage beneath the house. We bid Eliara goodbye and hopped in the car then I drove us to school.
