CHAPTER 17

An hour later, we were seated in the Glen Capri restaurant already done eating and just sipping at our wine and talking about random things. So far, everything was enjoyable minus the fact that every wolf among the restaurant staff including the manager was trying too hard to impress me that it was infuriating. But other than that I was happy. After a while I noticed a few couples dancing. I smiled when I saw an elderly couple dancing, looking so in love with each other still. For some reason, it reminded me of my parents.

"May I have this dance, my queen?" I looked up to see Nick standing beside the table and in front of me reaching out his hand as an invitation. I chuckled and smiled before answering.

"Of course." I placed my hand in his, getting up and joining the other couples on the dance floor. Just then the music changed to a particular waltz song I knew very well because it was the same one my parents danced to every time on their anniversary, 'Take My Breath Away'. When we were done dancing, everyone began applauding us. I looked around, nodding and smiling at everyone before looking back to Nick.

"You enjoying your night, babe?" He asked.

"Yes, yes, I am."

"I'm glad. Well, I have just one question to ask you tonight. (He went down on one knee and brought out a small red box from his pocket then opened it. I gasped at the sight in surprise.) I know you are wondering where the speech is. Well, I don't have one because no words can describe how I feel about you so now I just have one question to ask. Kiara Karen Silver, would you do me extraordinary honor of marrying and making me one of the happiest men ever?" He proposed. Tears pooled in my eyes and I started nodding before answering.

"Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes." I said over and over, laughing. Nick also laughed and placed the ring on my finger before getting back up and kissing me. We heard everyone applauding us once again and congratulating us.

On the way back, I was on cloud nine replaying the moment over and over and over again in my head. Soon we reached the pack house. When we entered Nick's room, I dropped my shoes and coat on the floor then turned to face Nick, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"You definitely made me one of the happiest women in the world this evening." I said.

"Not as much as you made one of the happiest men in the world." He replied. I smiled then pulled him down for a kiss before pulling him down to the bed with me and on top of me. As we made out, I pulled off his jacket and began unbuttoning his shirt, which caused him to pull his head back, breathing heavily.

"What is it?" I asked.

"If we don't stop now, I might not be able to stop and control myself any longer. And I don't want you to do something you may not be ready for or don't want to do yet." He said, trying to pull himself from me. I pulled him back to me and caressed his cheek.

"What if I don't want you to stop? I want this." I said.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"More sure than I've ever been in my entire life." I answered with a smile. He smiled back and leaned back down to resume kissing me. I rolled us over so I was now on top and straddling him, never breaking the kiss. Let's just say, the night get better and better for both of us and I didn't regret it one bit.

I woke up the next morning to find Nick propped on one elbow, looking down at me and brushing his other hand up and down my hip and thigh. I smiled up at him.

"You know, it's rude to stare at people, Alpha Mendez."

"My apologies, Queen Kiara. I could not help but admire your beauty."

"Why, thank you." I giggled. He then leaned down and kissed me lightly. I smiled into the kiss and pulled him on top of me, deepening the kiss and tangling our legs together. Just then the door to the room slammed open and Alec and Nicki entered.

"Hey, little brother. Kiara." Nicki said with a mischievous smile on her face.

"Alec! Nicola!" Nick exclaimed, pulling the sheets up higher to cover our bodies. He got off me and laid by my side, still holding onto me.

"Oh wow. Oh my God, we're sorry." Alec said, turning.

"I'm not. Time to get your asses up and out of bed. You've had enough fun." Nicki said with a smirk. I sighed in annoyance and disentangled myself from Nick knowing if I didn't, Nicki would come and do so for us herself. I grabbed Nick's shirt from the floor from last night and slipped it on.

"Hi Nicki. What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in Spain, with your mate and pack?" I asked, getting down from the bed.

"Hi, KK. Al, you can turn back around, they're decent. Sort of. And I'm here visiting, plus I had to bring JC to see his parents."

"Ok, so I have a question for you, sis. You ever heard of the term, 'knocking'? If not, let me enlighten you. It's when you rap your knuckles against a door to announce your presence and your wish to be invited into the room." Nick said sarcastically after pulling on a pair of pants.

"You do realize that I don't care, right? Besides, I didn't know that you two were naked in bed together and sucking each other's faces off." Nicki said. Nick and I sighed.

"Jeez Nicki, even as Luna you still have no filter." Alec said.

"Clearly." I muttered.

"So why did you two barge into my room, you know uninvited, in the first place?" Nick asked.

"Oh, I didn't barge in. She did and she just dragged me in along with her ignoring my suggestion to wait until you came downstairs." Alec said to defend himself.

"I just wanted you to know I was in." Nicki said, shrugging her shoulders. I pinched the bridge of my nose, closed my eyes and shook my head, letting out a breath.

"And that couldn't have waited till I came downstairs, dressed and not half naked in bed?!" Nick exclaimed.

"Technically, you were fully naked and on top of Kiara, probably about to go for another round of--"

"Nicola! Out now and keep your mouth shut." I said, cutting her off from continuing with her sentence.

"Ok, jeez. You'd think that after the night they had, they'd be in an extremely good mood." Nicki said.

"Out, now!" Nick and I said at the same time.

"Ok, ok. I'll see you later, hopefully fully clothed then." She left the room then.

"Finally. Anyway, Al. What's up?" Nick asked.

"Well, Rae said she's been trying your phone for the past hour, Kiara." Alec answered.

"Really?" I looked for my purse and took out my phone to check it.

"And Nick, remember we have that meeting with the Crescent, Blood Moon, Green Rock, Paxton, Hallowthorn and Malraux packs. You know, the one which you called for to solidify the alliances. It starts in an hour. You might wanna start getting ready. Their Alphas and Betas will be here soon." Alec informed.

"Yeah, thanks man." Nick replied.

"I'll be going then." Alec said then left the room. Nick then walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist while I placed my hands on his chest and looked up at him.

"So as you heard, I'll be stuck in a meeting almost all morning, which sucks. What will you be doing while I'm away?" He asked.

"Unfortunately, I'll also be stuck in two meetings again, this time with my sisters as well, all morning just like yesterday. And my meeting starts in an hour as well so I have to go back to the house to get ready." I said.

"I think it's time you had your stuff moved here. You can't keep going back and forth every time you need a change in clothes."

"I know. After everything today, I'll ask Kara and Korra to help me move them but that would mean they might also be moving here. You know we don't like being far apart."

"Done and done. All that matters is at the end of the day, I'll have you with me." He leaned down and captured my lips in a kiss which I smiled into.

"I have to go and you have to get ready for your meeting."

"Yeah, but how will you get back to the house without any clothes?"

"I'll just jump from your window and shift then run to the house. No fuss, no muss."

"Mmm...ok. That means I'll see you at the beach party."

"Yeah. Which means I have to go now, if not we'll never make it to our meetings."

"Ok, but just one kiss, you know to sustain me for the next four long hours." I giggled before putting my hands on his cheeks.

"Alright. Just one. (Nick grinned and leaned down, capturing my lips in a kiss one more time. Before he could turn it into a make out, I pulled away.) Time to go." I pulled out of his arms and grabbed my phone and put it in my purse from last night. I then went to his window and jumped out of it, shifting mid-air and landed on all fours in my wolf form with the purse in my mouth. I ran to the house before shifting back. I opened the front door and entered before running up to my room and took a shower. I came out of the bathroom minutes later to find my sisters sitting on my bed already dressed up and with grins on their faces.

"Hey, there, sunshine. Had fun last night?" Kara asked with a smirk on her lips. I smiled and turned to go into my closet.

"Oh my God, she did. Look at her glowing. She's practically lighting up that closet of hers." Korra exclaimed excitedly.

"Oh, so that explains to extra happiness we felt last night and this morning through our bond." Kara said.

"Oh my God, look at her blush. The Kiara Silver, Queen of werewolves is blushing." Korra teased.

"Stop, guys." I said when I came out of my closet dressed same as my sisters. I brushed my hair out, curled it lightly and put it into a ponytail. I then began applying light makeup.

"What, sis? We're just happy for you. And also happy that you're getting some." Kara snickered.

"So how was it?" Korra asked. I sighed happily and closed my eyes, smiling, as I put the mascara wand back in the tube, being done with it.

"It was amazing. I've never felt this way before, this happy." I opened my eyes and saw my sisters smiling at me. I shook my head and turned back to my vanity and put on my earrings, necklace and my engagement ring. I fiddled with the ring as I remembered the whole proposal moment from yesterday. I smiled slightly then got up and transferred all my things from last night's purse into today's purse. Then after making sure I was all set, the three of us met Rissa and Ellie downstairs and teleported to the castle.

Raelynn's P.O.V

"So you just barged in on them, just like that?" I asked Nicki as we checked on preparations for the beach party. I sometimes did not understand Nicola. I switched Jace from my left to my right.

"Yep, and they were still in bed, naked I might add. I think they were about to go for another round before Al and I barged in.

"Nicola! Oh my God! You couldn't wait for them to get out of bed first before announcing your presence in the pack to them." I said.

"Where's the fun in that? In my defense, I didn't know they'd be together in bed, naked." She said shrugging.

"Gosh, Nicki. They're mates and two people who really love each other, do the math. Hey, Chris, you got those tiki torches for the evening? Great. Oh and Tessa, could you go back to the pack house to ask about the food and drinks, thanks. (I turned back to Nicki.) Anyway, enough about your brother. How's your pack and your-oh-so-loving mate, Adam?"

"He's fine, the pack's fine. Oh by the way, I heard Marina gave birth to a beautiful daughter just last week and I found out Cait is pregnant and will be giving birth in a month." Nicki informed.

"Yeah, I heard. Marina even sent me pictures. And Cait's not the only one who's pregnant. You are too." Nicki's eyes widened in surprise.

"What? How do you know?" She asked.

"I can hear the baby's heartbeat."

"Wow, I guess I haven't really been listening enough. I can hear it now that I'm focusing. Wow. Oh my God, I'm gonna be a mom." I chuckled and hugged her.

"I said the same thing when I heard Jace's heartbeat for the first time."

"Wow, ok. Could you like not tell anyone yet? I want them to know after I go back home and tell Adam."

"That depends on if they listen closely or not but there are three people you can't hide it from."

"Who?"

"The Silver sisters. Kiara, especially."

"How come?"

"They can hear different sounds at the same time and are able to differentiate the sounds from each other even in a crowded space. Remember Kiara's coronation. Yeah, she was the one who told me I was pregnant. She had heard the heartbeat when we were inside the ballroom during the after-party."

"Oh I see. Oh God, she's gonna use this as leverage against me for barging in on her and my brother this morning." I laughed at her.

"Well, you should know with her, she always finds a way to get back at anyone who messes with her. Sucks to be you. Better pray she'll be too heavily distracted by Nick tonight." She groaned.

"We both know even that won't dissuade her from getting back at me."

"Yeah, I know. I'm pretty sure she already knows and is just waiting for right time. I was just trying to give you false hope." She gave me a glare which I laughed at. For some reason, Jace also began to laugh.
