Kiara's P.O.V

After Kara left us, I went over and pulled Nick out of his chair and out of his office to the kitchen where I made us both sandwiches and he sat on one of the stools on the other side of the counter. As I did, we sat in silence till Nick broke the silence.

"You wanna tell me what's going on with you?" He asked.

"What do you mean? Nothing's going on with me."

"We both know that's not true. If it were, you wouldn't have snuck out at 3am in the morning to go back to the castle to your own personal gym without telling anyone."

"Can we please not have this conversation? We both saw how 'well' it went yesterday. So please just drop it." I set his sandwich on a plate in front of him. I grabbed a carton of apple juice from the fridge and began pouring the juice into two glasses for us.

"Babe, I'm not asking just because I want to know. I'm asking because I want to help you get through it." I stopped pouring the juice and slammed the carton on the counter.

"Nick! Please just drop the topic. I don't want to talk about it." I put the empty carton of apple juice into the trashcan before grabbing my own plate of sandwich.

"Ok. Ok. Let's talk about something else. Like these meetings you attended today."

"I will tell you about the first but the second... no way. Uh, uh. I wouldn't want you growling and breaking the beautiful drinking glass which currently contains your juice."

"Fair point but I still wanna hear about it."

"Well if you insist."

I then began to tell him about the meetings as we ate our sandwiches. After that, we went out for a walk behind the pack house into the woods, talking about random things till Kara called and told me she had done what I asked her to do.

"I have to go back to the house. I have some guests I have to attend to."

"And by guests you mean three certain rogues who incurred your wrath." Nick asked.

"You're only half right. Yes, it's 3 certain rogues but no they haven't incurred my wrath. I suppose I would call them 'family' if they get on my good side. If not, well, we'll just have to see."

"Ok. But before you go, dinner. Tonight. I'll pick you up at 7. Dress to kill." I grinned and stepped close to him, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Mm... Can I ask where we're going tonight? I mean if I'm going to dress to kill, I need to at least know where I'm headed to be able to select the perfect outfit."

"Sorry, but it's a surprise. Besides, I know whatever you select will be perfect. Now, off you go. I have paperwork to clear before our date." I nodded and pulled folded sheets of paper from the inside my bag which I was holding.

"Ok, but hold on, one more thing. Why do you have papers concerning a business enterprise belonging to my family?" His eyes widened as he took the papers from me to look at.

"What? Wait, what do you mean? This business belonged to a former head warrior of our pack, Arthur Wayland. He died sixteen years ago, when I was six. He didn't have any known family in the pack so the pack, more specifically, my father took control of the business when he died." He informed. I sighed and closed my eyes then opened them before responding.

"Arthur Wayland was my mother's father, my grandfather. My mother was Ophelia Wayland before she married my father."

"What?"

"My real full name is Kiara Karen Wayland- Silver. My sisters and I don't include the Wayland part of our last name because no one knows our grandfather was one of the fiercest warriors in the entire werewolf kingdom."

"Wow. That's interesting. Every time I start to believe I know almost everything about you, you spring up something new for me to learn." I chuckled at that.

"Yeah, I know. I'm full of surprises. I'm wondering why this business is being taken care of by your family unless..."

"Unless what?"

"Well, she became queen right, so how was she gonna handle the duties of the queen and manage a business at the same time?"

"So she entrusted it to my father. So that when you three grow up and one of you is crowned queen, the other two would handle the business. Your mother was a smart woman." I chuckled and nodded.

"She was. Anyway, I gotta go. See you at 7." I pecked his cheek and walked away in the direction of the house my sisters and I are staying in.

I went straight to the study once I entered the house. 4 heads turned and looked up as I entered the study. I walked across the room and sat in the chair behind the desk.

"As you requested, Kiara. The 3 rogues who say they're our 'cousins'." Kara said from beside me.

"Thank you, sis. Could you leave us to talk?"

"Of course. I'll go find our sister." Kara then stepped out leaving me with the 3 rogues claiming to be family.

"So, dear cousin, what did you want to discuss with us?" Miranda asked.

"Now, now. Let's not get ahead of ourselves and assume positions that do not belong to us." I said with a fake smile which they all returned.

"Funny. I thought family meant everything to you. Or did we hear wrong?" Garrett asked.

"Oh you didn't but you did misunderstand what you heard. Only those whom I consider family mean everything to me. Those outside that circle, not so much. Now, I've been meaning to ask, who is your mother? Because from what I know, your father left his mate because she was not the one he wanted and according to your father's mate, they never had children. So whose children are you?" I watched their faces while waiting for answer.

"We don't know. According to our father, our mother left us when my brother and sister were born." Miranda answered.

"Is that so? Are you sure he didn't kill her? Garrett?" I watched him and saw him trying to resist the power veritas serum.

"He did. He killed her a year after Gia and I were born." He blurted out panting. His sisters looked at him in shock. He then started screaming in pain, bringing his chained hands to hold his head.

"Stop, what are you doing to him?" Gia asked worriedly. I lifted my hands up in surrender.

"Oh, I'm not doing anything. That's your father's doing. You see, as twins you and your brother have the ability to see through each other's eyes, right? Well, it would seem your father can also see through your brother's eyes thanks to his unique ability to access minds. To see into and through them and manipulate them. Your brother here, has the same gift as well. Now, the reason why he was screaming in pain a minute ago was because your father was attacking him psychically for revealing the truth about your mother's disappearance." I informed. The three of them looked at me in awe, wondering how I knew what I knew.

"How did you know that he killed our mother and about our abilities?" Garrett asked.

"I know about your abilities because first, my sisters and I have the same ability to see through each other's eyes as well and also my father once told me about your father's unique ability. As for how I knew about your mother, I didn't. You just told me. Besides, your father isn't exactly a noble man."

"You don't know anything about our father." Miranda said.

"I don't have to know a lot about your father to know what kind of a man he was."

"He was cheated out of his birthright because everyone favored your father. Next to him, our father could only be seen as good for nothing. Always being passed over for his brother. His brother, who in everyone's eyes could do no wrong. Your father stole the throne and our father's one true mate from him. And then as if that wasn't enough your father tried to kill him which caused him to run away from the castle for good. And your bitch of a mother just stood by and watched it happen. Just like her pack stood by and watched her choose your father over our father. So if anything, everything he's doing is justified." Gia said. She sat back after she finished talking and her siblings nodded in agreement to what she said. I began to chuckle bitterly causing the siblings to look at me confused.

"Wow, that's interesting. I didn't think your father had it in him to spin so wonderful stories like that. But then again what would you expect from someone who would manipulate the minds of his own children to suit him and his plans on exacting an unjustifiable revenge. I know this is the part where I'm supposed to be saying it's not true and that your father did this and that, blah, blah, blah. But I'm not going to because whatever I say even though it's the truth, all it will seem to you is that I'm also trying to prove my father and my family are innocent of what they've been accused of, so I won't say anything. I don't care what you and your siblings were told about my family by your father. Now I have a little task for you. I want you to tell your wretched father through the familial mind link you have with him that I will come for him and his followers for attacking my family and my pack. And I will rip him apart for the main role he played in my parents' death. And believe me, if I see the 3 of you beside him on that day and you try to prevent me from getting to your father, I will not hesitate to end you. Because even though you don't know the full truth, you are every bit as guilty as he is for bringing harm to a pack that knows nothing about our family's past. Or did he tell you that this generation of the pack was around when my mother chose my father over him and they also stood by and let that happen? (The 3 of them looked down in shame and guilt.) Oh yeah, that's right. He didn't have to because whatever daddy's doing is justified, nothing he's doing is wrong. You know I was willing to begin considering you three as family but you just proved to me that you're not my family. Because no one in my family would never do what you did. Going as far as hurting children and teenagers all because of a stupid baseless vendetta your father had against his own brother. Enjoy the rest of your miserable life with that in mind." I stood up and began walking to the door.

"Kiara..." Miranda started to say. I whirled around and walked to stand in front of them.

"You do not call me by my name because we are not friends, we are not familiars and we are not family. You refer to me by my title. Oh yeah, and your mom, I knew who she was. Alexia Paige Cullen. She was my mom's best friend. I suppose her being killed by your father is all justified too, right? Kara will be here to take you back to your cells." I left the room then and went to my room. I called Kara and told her I was done with them and to get them back in their cells. I then changed in a pair of loose sweatpants and a loose sweatshirt and put my hair into a loose messy bun. I then grabbed my guitar and songbook and went downstairs to the garden. I then began playing and writing songs just to let everything out.

I was getting ready for my dinner date with Nick when my sister walked in with smiles on their faces.

"Hey. Wow, date night with Nick?" Korra asked.

"Yep." I answered.

"Mmm... nice. You two deserve the night off to have fun." Kara said.

"Thanks. (I finished with my makeup then and stood up.) So what do you think? He said to dress to kill."

"Well, if that's he said then you are definitely gonna kill him and every other guy who sees you tonight with that outfit and look." Both my sisters said at the same time. I looked in the mirror at my outfit. I had curled my hair and put it into a side ponytail.

"You're right." I said. We all laughed.

"Hey, you okay?" Kara asked me. I frowned at the question.

"Yeah, I am. Why wouldn't I be?" I answered. I grabbed my purse and started putting my phone and other essentials in it.

"We kinda heard everything that was said through mind link and our sibling telepathy. We could feel your emotions and just wanted to know if you're alright." Korra said.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry. Now I do believe my darling mate just arrived. So gotta go." I grabbed my purse and went downstairs and out of the house and saw Nick standing by his car waiting. I went over and greeted him with a peck on the lips.

"Hey." He said.

"Hey." I responded.

"You look breath taking."

"You're not so bad yourself."

"You ready to go?"

"Yeah." He opened the car door for me. My sisters stuck their heads out the window then.

"Have fun, you two." Korra said.

"But not too much fun." Kara added.

"Inside, girls. And don't wait up for me." I said then I sat in the car.

"Oh and thanks, Korra." Nick said before he joined me in the car and drove us off to our destination.
