CHAPTER 4

AT PARTY:

I don't know why Cooper has such a big house, but that big, well, of course he has, after all, he is the richest kid in our college.

After parking the car, we started walking toward that big house; The house hosting the party is an extravagant mansion, sprawling across a vast estate. Its grand façade boasts towering columns, massive glass windows reflecting the night sky, and a wide stone staircase leading to the entrance. A mix of modern and classic architecture, the house is illuminated by golden lights, casting a warm glow over the neatly manicured lawn and the surrounding palm trees.

At the heart of the party is the enormous backyard, where a shimmering pool stretches across the space, its crystal-clear water reflecting the glow of string lights draped overhead. The poolside is lined with sleek lounge chairs and cabanas, while a built-in bar stands at one end, stocked with an endless selection of drinks. Music pumps from hidden speakers, filling the air with an electric energy as guests dance beneath the open sky. Inside, the house is just as luxurious—high ceilings, marble floors, and sprawling rooms filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and the pulse of excitement.

It's really beautiful with a big swimming pool. There are people who are smoking, drinking, chatting with each other, and a few couples who are sucking each other's faces.

"Ew... it's disgusting." I made a face while entering the house.

"It's common in these parties, girl," Emma shrugged.

"Let's have a drink." Noah started walking toward the bar, and we started following her.

There was a handsome bartender who was flirting with every girl who was ordering their drink. Hey, did I mention the bar? Yeah, of course it's an Alex Cooper party, so it must be grand. He is a spoiled rich kid who has flirted with girls in school, and girls throw themselves on him like he is the most popular and handsome guy on earth. But we all know how much of a jerk he is.

"Hi, I'm Adam," the bartender said.

"Hi, I'm Emma; this is Bella, Noah, and this one is Kat." Emma introduced us while motioning toward us.

"Hey beautiful ladies, what can I get for you all?" Adam asked, grinning.

"Four shots, please," Bella answered happily.

"Here you go, guys.... Enjoy your drinks." Adam smiled while placing our drinks on the table.

"Thanks," I smiled, picking up my glass.

"Now let's make a toast," Noah said.

"To the HAPPINESS!" Emma makes a toast.

"TO THE HAPPINESS!" everyone said and clinked glasses with each other.

I drink it in one go, and it hits my throat.

"Woah......" I shake my head; it's really the strong one, man.

After having two more shots, we decided to dance as Bella dragged us to the dance floor.

OMG Halo on Fire by Metallica is playing.

We shake our booties and start singing the song. We were dancing in our groups, and it felt like hours on the dancing floor. Some guys approached us and started dancing with girls; suddenly I felt dizzy. They were so much enjoying themselves; that's why I decided not to bother them and excuse myself.

I asked a random girl where the washroom is, and man, she was really drunk, and then she whispered, It's on the first floor. I mumbled thanks to her and made my way towards the stairs. There was a guy with long hair who was flirting with every girl who passed by, and I was hoping to unnoticed by him, but I was today not my luck because dude then he noticed me... shit.

Why God? Why me?

Coming close to me, he asked in my ear, "Hey, going somewhere, sexy girl?" His lips were touching my ears, and I shivered in fear.

Did these dude don't know personal space shit?

His breath smells full of alcohol and grabs my wrist. I try to push him, but it only makes his grip tighter, and I start shaking, panicking, and no one is helping me; everyone is ignoring me like we are not there.

"I have to do something... think, Kat... You have to help yourself," I mumbled to myself.

Then an idea popped up in my mind. I stepped my heels on his foot; hard, he groaned in anger, and I started running towards the first floor, and without thinking, I opened the door and entered the first room I saw and closed the door to save myself from that drunk guy.

The room was full of darkness, and my eyes adjusted to see in the dark, but suddenly something caught my attention: it's a naked girl sitting on the bed and a guy who is lying on top of her half naked.

If I say I'm not shocked, then it will be an understatement because dude I was totally shocked.

By sensing my presence, he sits up and faces me while that girl covers herself with sheets, glaring at me and he asks with a smirk, "You want to join? We can do a threesome," looking up and down.

I was frozen in my spot; he made his way slowly towards me, and I watched each and every one of his moves carefully.

He is so handsome.

Blue eyes, they are so beautiful.

Shaking the thought, I open my mouth, but no words come out.

I shake my head as if to say no, and then I clear my throat and whisper, "N-No."

He smirks, "Are you sure we can have double fun, kitten?" watching me.

I shake my head with shock and mumble, "Y-Yes."

"Then why are you here, to watch me?" he asked rudely.

"N-No... A-Actually I'm l-looking for a w-washroom and by mistake ended up here." I stutter in fear and slowly take a step back.

"Oh..." Without showing any emotion, he closes his eyes and exhales sharply. "Exit the room and walk straight; it's on the right side."

He was flirting with me before, but suddenly his face became emotionless, which confused me. He cleared his throat, and I snapped from my thoughts and locked my eyes with his; he was staring at me with amused looks, which scared me.

I thank him, without glancing toward him. I exit the room and close the door.

I sighed in relief, "Phew... that was so close," and went to the washroom.
