It's been a total twelve years since Kat and Ryan are together; years had passed so quickly since they both had promised each other there forever. They have organised a small wedding function, only inviting their family and close friends. They have spent these years with each other having so many ups and downs in their relationship, which made their bond stronger, there life was full of roller-coaster ride. People say love fades away with time but it's not true for them. Nobody has thought that their marriage will last longer, but they have proven them all wrong.
Their life had been a whirlwind full of love, chaos, career triumphs, and parenting mishaps, also sometimes misunderstandings but in the end, they always had each other's back in the end.
Ryan had taken over as CEO of his father's company after graduation, his sharp mind and ruthless business acumen making him a force to be reckoned with in the corporate world. He is the richest man in the world and the most handsome billionaire in all of New York. But at home he is the total opposite; he has a soft corner for his wife and family, he plays with his kids, and they all spend time together.
Kat, on the other hand, had carved her own empire as CFO of her father's company, which was managed by her uncle after her parent's death, and later on her brother Kylie took over when he graduated from high school, making him the youngest billionaire, proving time and again that she was just as brilliant and formidable as her husband. People always talk behind her back that she should just stay at home and take care of her husband and children, but Ryan didn't let their talk reach her; he always supports her in business as well as at home. They both have given their equal time to nourish their children.
But right now, neither boardrooms nor any billion-dollar deals mattered. What matters is that they both love each other madly.
They were in Paris - the city of love - taking a well-deserved vacation with their family. The golden lights of the Eiffel Tower illuminated the night sky, the aroma of fresh croissants and chocolate filling the air. It was the perfect setting for stolen kisses, making new memories with each other and with their family, whispered promises... and don't forget the complete and utter chaos.
After their marriage, one day Kat got to know that she was pregnant, and that was the most beautiful and memorable day of their lives. Ryan was really crazy after hearing the news; he arranged a firework show for Kat and announced their pregnancy to the whole world. It was really a soothing sight for eyes to see. Their friends and family were so happy, especially Nick, he was planning how he is going to spoil his cute little nephew.
At the time of delivery, Although, it was Kat who was carrying their son in her womb, but Ryan was freaking out and passed out at the last moment, left Kat to feel embarrassed infront of doctor and nurses. And how can I forget the time when nurse pass our son to hold him in his arms, he was scared as hell. It was really a funny moment which Kat always tease him and tell stories to their children during their family time.
Did I forget to tell you all that our loving Kat and Ryan have become parents of not one, not two but of four cute angles.
Or I can plus demons....
Their eldest son, Zane Knox Carter, was eleven years old and already a miniature version of Ryan with Kat's blue eyes making him more handsome boy in his family or you can say whenever he goes, all stops to admire his beauty. He had inherited his father's sharp features, brooding demeanor, and effortlessly cool giving all bad-boy vibes making girls to fall on their feet by his only one glance.
With his hands tucked into the pockets of his designer jacket, he leaned against the balcony railing, gazing at the city below like a young king surveying his empire. Even at such a young age, he had an air of authority, and his sharp grey eyes held a depth beyond his years.
Then there were the twins, Rider Kai Carter and Nova Luna Carter, six years old and a menace to society - well, mostly to their family and friends. While Zane was all seriousness and silent glares, these two were the polar oppositeâwild, mischievous, and entirely too clever for their own good. If something was broken, missing, or suspiciously sticky, they were undoubtedly behind it. With being naught, they are the soul of the whole family, they are their happiness. Zane loved them with his whole heart but never showed them any affection as her knows that their mischievous activities will arise more but, in the end, he is the one who has to take their responsibility, in absence of his parents. They always try to irritate him with their pranks.... double troublemakers.
Tonight, was no different. Being the curious and naughtiest in the family, the twins had taken it upon themselves to test the 'bounce' of macaroons against the hotel walls, the result being a pastel-colored splatter that looked more like a modern art than mischief.
"Mom's going to be so mad," Zane said, his tone flat as he watched the destruction unfold infront of his eyes.
Kai grinned. "Not at all, if we blame it on little Aria."
The mention of their youngest sibling had Ryan's grip tightening protectively around the tiny bundle in his arms. Aria Aurora Carter, at just being eleven months old, she is the undisputed princess of the family. She is a smaller version of Kat with Ryan's green eyes. With big, curious eyes and a giggle that could melt the coldest hearts, she had every single one of them wrapped around her tiny fingers - especially her father Ryan and bother Zane.
She sat comfortably on her father's lap, clad in a soft pink onesie, her chubby hands exploring his face as she babbled in an attempt to 'talk' to him, making him chuckle with happiness. Ryan, the powerful and intimidating CEO, was reduced to a doting mess whenever she was around him. He playfully nibbled her fingers, making her squeal with laughter, a sound that could bring a man to his knees.
"You do realize she's your downfall, right? With her one look and woops you are gone" Kat teased, watching him with amusement.
Ryan didn't even bother denying it. "And I'm perfectly fine with that." He kissed the top of Aria's head, inhaling her sweet baby scent. "She's never dating, by the way. Ever. Although, it's going to be little hard to kept boys away from her" He sighed thinking.
Kat chuckled. "Tell that to future Aria and see if she agrees with you."
As if agreeing, Aria let out an excited squeal and smacked her tiny hands against Ryan's cheeks. The sight was so adorable that even Zane's stoic expression softened slightly.
Told you na guys, she has wrapped all men in Carter family around her tiny fingers.
Kat leaned against Ryan, watching their chaotic, beautiful family with a contented sigh. "Twelve years, four kids, and somehow, we're still sane."
Ryan smirked, pressing a kiss to her temple. "Debatable."
A loud crash echoed from inside, followed by Kai and Nova's unrepentant laughter. Just then again, a loud crash sounded from inside. The twins had knocked over a tray of desserts.
Zane sighed in exasperation, looking eerily like his father as he muttered, "Unbelievable."
Kat laughed, shaking her head. "Welcome to our life."
Ryan pulled her closer, his voice filled with quiet certainty. "Wouldn't have it any other way."
Kat sighed, rubbing her temples. "I don't even want to know what happened this time."
Ryan smirked, shifting Aria in his arms. "Twelve years with these four kids, and yet you still get surprised all the time?"
Kat groaned. "I was hoping they'd get your discipline, but no. We got two mini hurricanes instead."
"Just like your brother Nick" he laughs.
"Oh God, why they have to take it after from him" she said looking in sky.
"I prefer creative geniuses" Nova piped up from inside.
Zane scoffed. "More like professional troublemakers."
Kai grinned. "Well, someone's gotta keep things interesting in our boring life huh."
Kat shook her head, exasperation laced with fondness. "I don't know how we survive them."
Ryan pulled her close, pressing a lingering kiss to her forehead. "Because we're us."
"Sometimes I feel maybe they both got exchange with other kids in hospital" she said hopping.
"More like purchased them from zoo" Zane murmured.
It was heard by both â Kat and Ryan
"HAHAHA. Sometimes our Zane is so funny sweetheart" Ryan hit Kat's shoulder, laughing.
Zane rolled his eyes at his parents but started laughing a little.
As the Eiffel Tower sparkled in the background and their children's laughter filled the air, Kat knew - no matter how chaotic, crazy, and unpredictable their life was, she wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
This was their perfect happily ever after.
