CHAPTER 32

Kat's POV:

6 months later

It's hard to realize that I've been dating Ryan for almost six months. It seems like yesterday when Ryan grew some balls and asked me out, and despite a lot of ups and downs, we ultimately made the decision to be together. Today marks our sixth month anniversary together.

After nearly six months, I made the decision to speak with Kylie. when he eventually confides in me. I'm glad I've gotten my brother back at last. If Ryan hadn't pushed me to speak with Kylie, , I suppose I wouldn't have spoken with him. However, I consider myself extremely fortunate to have Ryan in my life.

I'm back in Florida completing my college degree where as Ryan is in New York working in his father's company. He is coming back and forth from New York to Florida and you can bet it's tiring him so much. After 6 months he is going to graduate and his father will hand over his company to Ryan in short you can say he is going to be the youngest CEO of New York very soon. Then I guess we are going to opt for a long-distance relationship but I'm not sure for future. Truth to be told I really don't want to do long distance relationship but I am not going to talk on this topic with him because I want to enjoy our last 6 months together with happiness and without any sorrow.

Passengers Please pay attention boarding for Flight No 12497 from Florida to New York is started. We request you to kindly board it on time to delay any takeoff. Thank You

You're all thinking about what I'm doing at the airport and where I'm heading.

Some of you may have guessed correctly. Yes, I'm heading to New York to surprise Ryan because he was too busy to fly back, and yes, I've made all the necessary arrangements with his parents to prevent him from flying to Florida.

I met his parents last month, and they love me as if I were their own daughter. So it's a little easier to get them together.

My phone rings, interrupting my thoughts. I checked my caller ID and instantly picked up.

"Yes, Brother"

"Have you reached airport and boarded your flight on time?"

"Of course brother. Have all the arrangements been completed correctly?" I questioned him.

"Yes, everything is finished. Around four o'clock, my driver will pick you up from the airport and drop you off at the location where I have set up a fictitious meeting with Ryan's client. Thus, you must buckle up and arrive on schedule." He informed me

"Okay see you later" I bid a goodbye to him

"See you soon" He hang up the call

In Flight:

Yeah

Why have I been sitting here, OH MY GOD? I asked myself. These kids are creating a lot of noise I put my AirPods in my ears and listened to my favorite song, "All We Know," by the Chainsmokers. I guess it's time to use them.

"Excuse me Miss" Somebody called me

I unplug my AirPods and turn to face the woman standing with her child. "Yes," I say,

"My daughter is going to New York by herself to meet my family." She asks, "Will you kindly look after her until you land and her aunt comes to get her at the airport?" She made a request

I noticed that both the woman and her child were staring at me with a great deal of hope.

"All right, of course."

"Thank you so much Miss—"

"Kat. It's Kat" I told her my name

"Thank you, Kat. My name is Rose and that's my daughter Rhea" She motions towards her daughter "Say Hi to Miss Kat" She aske her daughter to greet me

"Hi Miss Kat" She waves at me

"Hi Rhea" I smiled at her

"All well, Rhea, good bye. Be careful, and when you've safely landed, give me a call. I'll call your aunt immediately to let her know that you've been seated with a woman named Kat, and she will drop you off to my sister at airport." She says making a note with her and leaves

"So, I guess it's now you and me" Rhea smiles thinking

There's something seriously fishy. I suppose this girl is just trouble, but handling trouble never ceases to astonish me. It will therefore be somewhat enjoyable. So, it will be a little fun.

"So tell me about yourself?" I asked her for the time pass

"Umm. You already know my name, so I'll skip that part. I reside in Florida with my mother, and my father died from cancer two years ago. It was difficult for us to adjust at first, but I suppose we're both good now." She gives a shrug

"I know how it feels to lost your parents and no I will not say I'm sorry to hear this because it's in past and you can't do anything to unwind it"

"Really you are the first one who has said those words"

"I know sweetie because I have lost my both parents" I sadly smiled at her

"It's the worst thing on earth. I've lost my father, and it feels like half of my world has been broken, but you've lost both. How are you coping with it?" Her face is puzzled.

"You can say first it was difficult thinking that it was just a nightmare but when you waked up from reality then it will become a habit for you to survive without them" I laugh out loud bitterly thinking about that

At Airport

Thank god we landed safely without having trouble I handed the girl over to her Aunt. Both keep on thanking me by showing their appreciation and I wave them off.

"It's okay guys" I assure them. It was trouble to be seated next to a 12-year-old kid because let me tell you she never shut ups. Little chatterbox I grinned as I thought about her.

"I hope we will meet soon Kat" She beams at me

"Sure, Kid maybe in the future we will" I reassure her

I hope never

I bid her goodbye and searched for my driver in the parking area so that he can take me to the location on time. Once I spotted him, I signaled him to bring the car.

Now I am seated in back seat and decided to contact Kylie, and he answered the phone on the first ring.

"I have landed and am currently on my way to the venue," I told him.

"Excellent. You have an hour to get ready and cross check all the arrangements if that are up to your standard or not?"

"Sure Kylie. I suppose there's no need for me to double-check it if you've already made the arrangements but just to be cautious, I will definitely do the double check it"

"I appreciate how much faith you have in me." He makes jokes.

I told him, laughing, "I'll end the call first." Goodbye.

At Location

"Is everything up to your standard ma'am?" Event planner asked me

I scanned the area happily. Perfect its decorated as I imagined

"Good job" I appreciate her

"Thank You Ma'am. Everything is done as planned so now it's time for us to take a leave" She informs me

I smiled at her and decided to get ready ASAP. He will be arriving here soon.
