Chapter 10
A wave of pure energy erupted from Anyaâs body. It traveled through everything. Nothing was alive. The arms took most energy and all life, but the wave destroyed the pieces. Mercury turned to dust as the wave passed through it with no resistance. Nothing remained except a ball of smoke and ash. The wave traversed in all directions, at a speed as fast as light. One moment, there was something; the next, there was nothing. Only poor Anya, floating where the sunâs corpse would have been. Only poor Anya floating endlessly away. Only poor Anya, unaware of what he had become. Except poor Anya wasnât Anya anymore, he wasnât even Librin. He didnât know how, he didnât even know why. But Themis sounded just right. He was the rise of Calamity. Yet for now, he was just poor Themis, floating endlessly through space. If only poor Themis would never awake.
