Chapter 6 of 77

5. ||BUTTERFLIES||

Radha's Krishna154 words~1 min read

They say I get butterflies often.

And all I do is laugh.

Today I saw you, Krishna.

Your dark visage

With its eternally radiant smile,

Lush grass like lashes

That prance like royal tigers

Around pond like eyes of azure.

I saw you today.

Today, our eyes met.

The world did stop

Like the great, great poets and bards

Sing their vivifying accounts

Of the mystic union

Of a woman and her man.

The world did stop.

For seconds it did, Krishna.

And in those seconds,

I lived a few eternities.

What emotion is this?

What conundrum is this?

What storm of passion is this?

My heart now melts

Faster than ice.

It fills me to the brim

With divine, divine

Fervour.

Sweet as honey,

Innocent as a dove,

Chaste as a wife,

Strong as the ocean.

Will they still say I get butterflies?

When you, Krishna,

Make me feel the whole wild forest?
