Radha's Krishna122 words~1 min read

This city life, Krishna

Chokes me.

My tastes

do not match

with the fineries

of the residents who live here.

It chokes me

The sooty sky

And the black,

Black paths.

There is no fragrance

Of the juhi,

Brimming with life, this city is

Lifeless.

I don't have my heart here,

Krishna.

I take my heart to where it belongs.

Vrindavan.

I spot a peacock dancing

And dropping a few of its feathers

After his graceful dance.

I run to the spot

And collect them.

I make a bouquet.

A mere bouquet has

Never made me so happy,

Krishna.

My nights are the favourite

Favourite part of my day.

My dreams, Krishna

Are far more lively and real

Than the lifeless

Reality.
