Chapter 83 - Visiting actively

In the hospital

In the ward, sitting next to Chen Kaiming, Chen Qian held a bowl of steaming porridge. She cooled a spoon of porridge carefully to feed Chen Kaiming.

Instead of being vigorous as before, Chen Kaiming now was weak like an old man with his mouth trembling slightly.

Chen Qian worried about him and said, “Dad, take care of yourself. I’ll deal with the things in the company well.”

“Ahem.” Perhaps Chen Kaiming was choked by the porridge or he was too agitated, he coughed violently.

Li Qinglan quickly stood up and walked beside Chen Kaiming to massage his chest and motioned Chen Qian with a bit of grievance, “Hey. Don’t mention it. Your father just woke up. Don’t irritate him.”

The atmosphere in the ward was oppressive, making Chen Qian a little breathless.

When she was about to go out, there was a tap-tap sound from outside.

Seeing Li Yunhong’s embarrassed and perplexed expression, Chen Qian eased the atmosphere quickly.

“Hey. Aunt. Please sit down. Thank you for visiting my dad. The doctor said that it doesn’t matter. After a period of recuperation, my dad could leave the hospital.”

“Even though your dad could recuperate, he is unable to bear stimulus from others. Just a contract matter could disturb our family.” Li Qinglan rolled her eyes and said angrily.

Seeing Li Yunhong’s awkward expression, and considering the friendship of Chen’s family and Mo’s family for many years, Chen Kaiming pulled Li Qinglan’s clothes quietly to motion for her to stop talking.

It was difficult for Li Qinglan to control her temper. Chen Kaiming still worried although Mo’s family could not pose any threat to Chen’s family anymore.

“I’m sorry. I’m here today to tell you something about the contract.”

With a polite smile on her face, Li Yunhong acted constrainedly.

“I talked with Yichen this morning. From tomorrow, the contract between us will still take effect. Since Yichen is young, sometimes he is inconsiderate. I hope that you can understand that and forgive him. Today I come here to apologize to you all.”

When Chen Qian heard that, she went forward quickly to reconfirm Li Yunhong’s words, “Is it true? Is Yichen really willing to sign a contract again?”

“Yes. You can rest assured. Yichen was just a little impulsive.”

Being very excited, Li Qinglan was slightly apologetic about her overreaction. So, she replied quickly.

Chen Kaiming who was lying on the bed finally spoke. And he became relaxed and grateful to Li Yunhong.

Li Yunhong waved her hands and the atmosphere between them became harmonious as before.

Li Yunhong and Li Qinglan pretended to be friendly again. Chen Qian also felt relaxed in her heart. Fortunately, Chen’s company was saved.

Chen Qian thought, “It seems that Mo Yichen didn’t intend to expose me to mortal danger. It’s just a warning.”
