âYou said we wouldnât see him,â I mumble, wrapping a hand at the back of Billieâs neck.
In front of us, Jake White opens the front door to what Iâve been told is his old foster parentsâ mansion. His eyes grow twice their size when he sees the muddy state weâre both in.
âSomeone had a lot of fun.â His cocky smile spreads across his lips, and he winks at me.
âLook, I donât want to have to kill you. I just want a calm night with my girlfriend. Thank you for giving us a place to stay, but letâs walk in silence.â
Jake chuckles to himself, and before we can go anywhere, someone calls out from behind him.
âHi, Billie!â
A small woman about the same size as Billie rounds Jake to stand in front of him. Sheâs Asian, with beautiful dark skin. Her green eyes glint with specks of gold, and she smiles brightly at the both of us. Her head reaches Jakeâs chest, and I can see the possessive look in his eyes the instant she stands in front of me.
âJamie,â Billie responds, a dash of awkwardness in her voice. âErmâ¦hi.â
âNow, who do we have here,â I purr, extending my hand. âCaden King.â Jamieâs almond-shaped eyes round, and she shifts uncomfortably.
âOh, hi.â She smiles politely and extends her hand, but Jake is quick. He wraps an arm around her from behind and brings her back against his chest.
âWeâre walking in silence. Remember?â he says low. He lets go of Jamie, puts a hand on the small of her back, and says softly, âBack inside.â
âBye, Jamie,â I croon as she retreats inside.
Jakeâs death stare practically kills me. âDonât make me change my mind.â
âAbout hosting us?â I smile.
âAbout murdering you.â
I cackle a genuine laugh as Billie and I follow him to the backyard from the side of the house.
He leaves us in front of the door.
âShe was scared. Why was she so scared of me?â I wonder out loud.
âJamie?â Billie answers. âDo you not remember her?â
I cock an eyebrow and she continues. âYou met her. You even offered to ram your cock down her throat if I remember correctly. The nightâ¦â She tilts her head to the side, clearly waiting for me to understand what she means.
She crosses her arms over the messy sweater, not impressed.
When it finally comes back to me, I shrug. âI guess I only had eyes for you that night.â
âSure,â she snorts. She walks in and throws a whatever my way. Itâs almost as if that night wasnât as difficult to think about as it used to.
As soon as weâre inside, I grab my girl by the hips and lift her until she wraps her legs around my waist. We kiss passionately before I push her against the wall. âLetâs shower,â I say low before biting her lip.
She grinds her pussy against my belly and sighs. âOkay.â
âIâm going to fuck you in there. Then on that kitchen counter behind me. And then in bed.â
âOkay,â she breathes.
âSo agreeable.â I smirk against her lips.
âThe man I love wants to fuck me three times in a row. Who am I to say no?â She giggles against my mouth, and I want to die and come back to life.
âGod, Billie. I love your giggles.â
Since neither of us knows the place, I walk around with her petite body hanging onto me. Itâs not very hard. Thereâs a living room, an open kitchen, and one hallway leading to two bedrooms and a bathroom. As simple as they come.
Just like I promised, I fuck Billie in the shower and on the kitchen counter.
In bed, I make love to her like I never had to anyone. Her gentle moans and whimpers when she comes all over my dick could be the end of me.
In fact, I have no doubt that Billie will be my demise. If we donât leave this town soon, we will both be each otherâs downfall.
I donât have to think about this tonight, though. For the first time, we can sleep next to each other without worrying about anything. We can just relax and pretend the North Shore doesnât exist.
âWhere should we go on vacation?â Weâre both under the covers naked. Sheâs resting her head on my chest and has a leg curled around my hips. Because Iâm obsessed with it, I keep playing with her soft hair. Braiding it, untangling it, rolling and unrolling it around my pinkie.
âVacation?â she snorts. âDid you win the lottery?â
I shrug. âIâm pretending we made it out.â
âCaden,â she sighs. âPlease, youâre hurting both of us when you do this. Iâm not competing anymore. It was my only way out.â
âI know,â I answer tensely. I clench my jaw and release, trying not to snap at her. âBut I also want to leave. I have my plan, too.â
âYour plan is for one.â
âBillie, please,â I let out in a desperate tone. âPlay along. Weâre in a Stoneview mansion. Just amuse me for one night.â
She stiffens, staying silent until her shoulder relaxes. âNew York City.â
âCome on, at least leave the country. Itâs a big vacation. Unlimited money.â
âFine,â she huffs. âCanada. Ontario. I want to see Niagara Falls.â
I grin to myself. âThink bigger, baby.â
âCaden,â she snaps. âYou fucking choose since you have big dreams.â
I chuckle, and my hand leaves her hair to grab her jaw, pressing her cheeks tightly, a gentle warning to be good.
âAlright,â I let my head fall back and close my eyes. âJapan.â
âJapan?â she chokes. âThatâs so far.â
âYeah. First, because we would have to take a plane. How cool is that? First time on a plane, and weâll get our membership card to the Mile-High club.â
She giggles and turns until sheâs lying perpendicular to me, the back of her head on my chest, gazing up at me. âIntense for your first flight ever.â I open my eyes and look down at her.
âGo big or go home, baby. Then weâll land in Tokyo and get to a super cool hotel. The kind where we can have a huge suite. I want a sofa in my hotel room.â
âAnd a jacuzzi,â she adds.
âOh yeah. Weâll try all their food. Imagine the sort of things they have over there that we never tried here.â
âAll the mangas we never heard of and wonât even understand because we canât read Japanese,â she says excitedly.
âWeâll find lots of Full Metal Alchemist merch,â I add. My stomach flutters with butterflies of hope. It warms my chest and pains my heart because a part of me knows itâs just a dream.
But hope is gleaming in Billieâs eyes right now, and I grin back at her.
âOh, oh, I know!â she exclaims. âWe can go on the bullet train! Oh my god, that would be crazy.â Her delighted voice makes my entire body feel light. I love her, and I want nothing but the best for her.
âThat would be so cool,â I confirm. âWhat else?â
âUmm,â she quietens while thinking. âI donât know. The night markets?â
âFuck yeah.â
Her voice is lower now. I suggest a few more things, and she nods. Her eyes get heavier and her breathing deeper.
âI wonder if they do an excursion to Mount Fuji,â I add as I yawn.
âUh-huh.â She nods as her eyelids drop. Smiling, I run my hand through her hair.
âDo you like sushi?â I ask quietly.
âDonât know.â Barely a murmur now.
âWhat about ramen?â
Sheâs fighting sleep, but her eyes are closed and her voice quasi-inaudible. âDonât know.â
I want to google all the Japanese food and keep asking her just to hear her softly spoken words as she tries to stay awake with me.
âWeâre going to do so many things together, little bee. I promise.â
A small smile pulls at her lips, but her breathing is slow, and her head heavy on my chest.
âGoodnight, baby. I love you.â She canât hear me, but I like knowing I said it again.
I want to repeat it until my voice is raw and she canât stand it anymore.
I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
