Chapter 7: Goodbye

Front of Lepiliondel Mansion-

The day has finally come when Aurora would have to say goodbye.

To this miserable treatment, to this unloving family, and to this empty home.

'Neigh'

Horse noises.

The two white elegant horses were coming to a stop.

'Swish'

Wind blowing

Even though it was very early in the morning a fresh humid breeze had blown the white horse's hair.

"Tsk" (Coachmen)

"This wind" (Coachmen, said)

The coachman complained as he held his golden hat with his left hand and gripped the horse's reins with his right arm.

He was fancily dressed and well matched with the horse's golden-colored rains and saddles.

'Neigh'

Horses noises

'Creak'

Carriage noises.

The carriage had finally come to a stop in front of the Lepiliondel mansion.

The beautiful white with golden borders carriage was not only magnificently carved but each golden wheel had small red rubies around each wheel.

Aurora, Adelina, Arian, and marquess Elex stood a couple of feet away from the carriage who had come to a stop.

'Did they really send a carriage this luxurious...' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Aurora was observing the horses and the carriage.

She never thoughts they would send such a carriage.

'I thought if I got lucky I would get a horse and I was really lucky a simple carriage' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

"Wow" (Arian, said)

Arian mumbled in admiration but since Adelina happened to be next to him she managed to hear his comment.

'Tsk..why did they bring her such carriage? Did the king send this carriage for her?' (Adelina's inner thoughts)

Then she turned her eyes to Aurora who was two feet in front of her.

'It was already bad enough I couldn't ruin her dress! That dam commoner, I didn't expect her to do such a good job!' (Adelina's inner thoughts)

Adelina looked at Aurora's beautiful simple dress.

It was a pearl white long silk dress with an open back in a v shape. This dress also happen to be very snatched around her waits area and let loose at the bottom of the dress that consisted of a long tail. It was as if that bottom was made out of clouds.

She had styled her hair into a loose braid with small flowers and pearls around her hair.

Accompany by a small pearl tiara and a long tulle veil that reached to the ground falling on top of the long cloud-like wedding dress tail.

Aurora turned around.

The front of her pearl-colored dress now showed.

From her chest down to her hips the same flowers and pearl decorations there were placed in her hair now had too incorporated into her dress. Even though most materials consisted of a silk fabric, Zellia had added some finishing touches with the tulle material like her vail. Along with some ruffled-up tulle around her silky gloves and a pearl lace bow. By her wrist area.

Aurora's dress top was in an m-shaped style that was designed with a mix of tulle and lace overlying each other but complementing her very nicely.

While a pair of flower-shaped dangling earrings and a simple pearl neckless decorated her neck giving Aurora a calming beautiful look.

Altogether the dress was nicely designed. It complimented her small chest, her small waist, her wide hips, and overall her sophisticated beauty.

She looked like an ethereal goddess. A goddess who was wise and kind.

She looked directly at her family.

Marquess Elex, the father who was dressed in his usual go-to outfit. The only change to it was his pink tie and his golden ruby in between it.

Adelina, on marquess Elex's right biting her nails infuriated.

'You are probably upset because I took the dress to my room. You really thought I was going to let you take care of it and rip it apart.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

'I could see through your scheme' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Aurora remembered Adelina telling her that she could ask her maids to place Aurora's dress in Adelina's room because it would be safe to not get dirty.

'Things will no longer go the way you want Adleina' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Adelina wore a pink with a white dress that had twice the fluff of a regular noble lady dress. It was the style of fluff to add to a wedding dress but for Adelina, it was normal as she believed herself to be the only exception.

Luckily the ridiculous jewels were now gone. She only wore a matching set of gold earrings with small pinked jewels and one golden necklace with five octavo pink jewels.

This time she had no funky hat only a golden hairpin that matched her golden heels.

Aurora turned to look at Arian.

He was wearing a fancy black men's suit with golden embroidery patterns that matched up with the pearl colored tucked blouse and golden lace embroidery at the collar. Accompanied by a pink tie with a golden-shaped flower and a pink ruby in the middle.

And a golden sash starting from his top left shoulder down to his right side pocket near his chest. While a well-iron handkerchief stuck out from his right side pocket.

'Today they have dinner with the royal family...' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Aurora's gaze turned to Adelina who was hugging marquess Elex's right hand.

Finally, marquess Elex spoke.

She turned her head to face him.

"Aurora, today is an imiportant day that marks a great sacrifice towards the Lepiliondel family." (Marquess Elex, said)

"Even though you have not seen your husband's face, you must not act disrespectful since that will paint a stain in the Lepiliondel family." (Marquess Elex, said)

"As a wife, you must do what your husband orders you, even if it's to produce a bastard child like him." (Marquess Elex, said)

He said with a click of his tongue.

Adelina then added.

"Don't worry sister, as long as you behave he won't kill you but if one day you decide to return this kind sister of yours will receive you with open arms." (Adelina, said)

'More like receive my power with open arms' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

At Adelina's comment marquess Elex intervene and looked at Adelina with a sweet scolding tone.

"Adelina you can't show kindness like that. Especially to a person like that child." (Marquess Elex, said)

"So don't go giving her ideas." (Marquess Elex, said)

He then turned to face Aurora again.

"Your responsibility is to be a good wife nothing more nothing less. That is what the women of the family have to bear. You will stay with him till your last breath understand?" (Marquess Elex, said)

'I wasn't planning on leaving him' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

"There is no need to worry marquess Elex there's no need to disrespect my husband when others have already disrespected him enough." (Aurora, said)

Marquess Elex's lips formed a small awkward smile.

"Mmm..I'm glad you are conscious." (Marquess Elex, said)

"Ahem..then let's go, we have to check that we have everything before we depart to the palace." (Marquess Elex, said)

"Yes, daddy" (Adelina, said)

Adelina smiled happily as she hugged harder on her father's arm.

Marquess Elex now had turned around with Adelina and started walking off.

Aurora's attention quickly changed to look at Arian who was still standing in the same spot staring at her in silence.

After a minute of silence Arian finally turned and walked away to catch marquess Elex and Adelina.

Aurora saw Arian walking to chase after marquess Elex and Adelina.

She soon too turned to walk towards the carriage.

A couple of feet away-

Arian turned to look at Aurora walking away to ride the carriage.

'Halt'

Arian had halted his steps.

He looked at his father and Adelina at a farther distance ahead of him laughing as they ignore Arian and Aurora's presence.

Arian turned to look in Aurora's direction.

He saw her back and her fluffy wedding dress tail flutter as she got closer to the carriage.

'Step, Step, Step, Step'

Speed walking soon increased to running.

'Halt'

He had now stopped four feet behind Aurora.

"Aurora" (Arian,said)

Her eyes went wide as she suddenly heard Arian's voice from behind.

She had thought he had left too.

She turned around with a surprised look and stared at Arian.

He spoke again.

With a hurtful expression.

"Are you really going to marry him for the sake of the Lepiliondel family?" (Arian, asked)

"..." (Aurora)

Aurora did not respond but her face had changed to the indifferent expression she always wore.

Arian spoke again.

"Don't marry him, don't listen to father or you'll be killed" (Arian, said)

Arian had raised his voice with a pleading sound to it.

Aurora's lips parted open.

"Didn't you say that you wouldn't care if I die"? (Aurora, asked)

Aurora asked coldly.

"No I..."(Arian, said)

The word's that Arian had spouted yesterday now had finally come to backfire on him.

Arian had finally said.

Aurora raised her brow

"How is it different?" (Aurora, asked)

"I don't know..." (Arian, said)

He had no excuse for his hurtful words.

That was all he could say out of his mouth.

"Just...don't go" (Arian, said)

All he had come to conclude was for her to stay.

Aurora now walked towards Arian and stopped in front of him.

Arian turned his head to face Aurora.

She looked at him with cold eyes with her indifferent expression.

"There is no need for empty words" (Aurora, said)

"Nor is there any reason to oppose to this marriage. That person who you call monster is my husband. I, as his wife will no longer tolerate such remarks ever again" (Aurora, said)

Soon her expression changed, she was angry.

It was Arian's first time seeing Aurora express such emotions and it did not feel well.

"This goes for the marquess Elex, Adelina, and other people who throw insults like this." (Aurora, said)

It displeased Arian.

'She decides to show emotion in this situation?' (Arian's inner thoughts)

'Where should her emotions be when the maids feed her food like that, where was her emotions where they stuck needles in her skin? She decided to get mad over that illegitimate son over everything.' (Arian's inner thoughts)

'She's throwing away everything for that bastard and waring us who are her family to not treat him like that!' (Arian's inner thoughts)

"He's our father Aurora, so don't address him as marquess Elex nor Adelina and me like that. I'm your brother and she's your sister, that's how you should address us." (Arian, said)

Auror's cold eyes still remained.

"You all lost the right to be called such names." (Aurora, said)

"Aurora you-" (Arian, said)

"Duchess." (Aurora, said)

Arian asked confused.

"I'm of a higher status, so I demand respect, or have you forgotten you are a young marquess?" (Aurora, asked)

Arian's face distorted in both anger and arrogance.

"Ha, so as soon as you got the duchess title you decide to start already abusing your power?" (Arian, asked)

Arian snickered.

'He's no one to talk...'(Aurora's inner thoughts)

"Don't forget, that you yourself abuse your power as well." (Aurora, said)

"When have I?" (Arian, asked)

Now he had raised his voice with a rude tone.

Aurora held her chin with her hands.

"Mmm..let's see. Ah I remembered." (Aurora, said)

She made an expression as if she were thinking for a long time.

She dropped her hands and glared in despise.

"You used your power to not go to war because you wanted to stay with your beloved sister Adelina." (Aurora, said)

"My husband is out there fighting sweat, blood, and tears while you're standing here in front of me when you should be at war." (Aurora, said)

Arian didn't take it well.

"Now I understand why those maids treat you the way they do. It's well deserved. You're only jealous of the love Adelina receives." (Arian, said)

He continued to talk in a bragging tone.

"It's not my fault your the bad prophesy child. It's not my fault your the cause of mother's d-" (Arian, said)

'Slap'

Aurora furiously slapped Arian across the face.

Aurora's slap was hard enough to leave a red mark on Arian's cheek.

Arian's eyes grew wide in shock.

It was Aurora's first time getting violent.

'Thud'

Aurora took off the glove she had slapped Arian with and fell to the floor.

Arian looked down at the glove and looked at Aurora who was looking down at the glove as well.

"Arian you disgust me" (Arian, said)

"People like you could never understand what it means to be a good human being." (Aurora, said)

"You speak so right and righteous that mother died because of me" (Aurora, said)

Aurora finally looked up at Arian

"I was not the last child to be born!" (Aurora, yelled)

Her cheeks soon turned red from the anger she was pouring out to Arian.

"It was Adelina who our mother birthed last!" (Aurora, yelled)

Her eyes were bigger and wider than ever.

"I was born with fuchsia pink hair and dark blue eyes just like you and marquess Elex! I was still your sister! Even though I was not born with yellow corn hair like Adelina nor inherited the power of mother, it didn't make me less!" (Aurora, yelled)

Her nose scrunched as she frowned yelling.

"Adelina was the chosen child and I was the bad omen! The bad prophesy child you so call! All of you are backstabbers for your own benefit!" (Aurora, yelled)

Soon an angry vein showed by Aurora's right eyebrow.

"Everything was perfect between all of us! There was no hatred just love! We all got along but you..." (Aurora, yelled)

She glared in hatred.

"You betrayed me!" (Aurora, yelled)

'Throb' (Arian)

"Father betrayed me!" (Aurora, yelled)

"Ha, even everyone who claimed to love me only left me alone with their pretentious love." (Aurora, said)

Aurora's snickered as her voice calmed down.

"Thats-" (Arian, said)

"I-I'm still your brother even though-" (Arian, said)

"How dare you call yourself a brother?" (Aurora, asked)

Aurora snapped furiously.

"You have no qualifications to be one." (Aurora, said)

"You broke your promise to me a long time ago." (Aurora, said)

"You said you would protect me as my older brother, you said that you would love me since mother wasn't around, you said you would always be by my side." (Aurora, said)

"You lied to me, Arian." (Aurora, said)

Aurora's voice had seemed to crack from the emotional pain she was holding back.

Her face was full of sadness and disappointment.

Not just her words but her expressions were easy for Arian to crack.

"I..." (Arian, said)

"You asked why you don't deserve to be called a brother?" (Aurora, asked)

"Because your not even half of what that word represents." (Aurora, said)

"A brother who betrays, a brother who mistreats, and a brother who wishes for his sister's own death is no brother of mine." (Aurora, said)

Aurora's cold eyes soon returned.

"!" (Arian)

'Step, Step'

Walking.

Aurora walked closer

"I'll come back Arian and when I do I'll wipe the Lepiliondel family for good." (Aurora said)

It was as if her eyes were seeing through Arian's soul with no more expression besides rage, hatred, and madness.

Aurora turned and started walking and Arian's voice was heard again.

"You think I'm afraid of you?" (Arian, asked)

Arian asked with a snicker but anyone would know he was taken aback and had yet to process the shock of her actions.

Aurora turned and looked at Arian.

"You may not be now, but you soon will." (Aurora, said)

"You-" (Arian, yelled)

Aurora grabbed on the carriage handle and did not turn to look at Arian.

"A piece of advice instead of pouring your anger on me work on bettering your surroundings before Adelina or her shadows kill you." (Aurora, said)

Arian's voice was heard from behind with a confused tone.

"Shadows?" (Arian asked)

Aurora turned and looked at him then turned away and climbed the step as she said.

"Goodbye." (Aurora, said)

'Slam'

Aurora slammed the carriage door and began to leave Arian behind.

"..." (Arian)

Arian lowered his hand reaching out to Aurora.

"Her shadows...why would Aurora say that?" (Arian, asked)

"Kill me?" (Arian, asked)

"No Adelina would never, she just wants me to rebel against Adelina." (Arian, said)

Arian walked away.

'But....her tone, it didn't seem like she was lying. She's hiding something and I'll find out!' (Arian's inner thoughts)

Inside the carriage.

Aurora saw Arian's figure walking in the distance.

She took off her glove and set it on the carriage seat.

"It was harder than I thought." (Aurora, said)

She then leaned her head against the window.

Aurora wiped her tear with her fingernails.

"Don't cry he's not worth it." (Aurora, said)

'Let's just sleep for a while.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Aurora closed her eyes and by the time she opened her eyes she had arrived at her new home.
