Chapter 30: The Faithful Encounter Between A God And A Goddess

-Immortal's lake-

"Ha, finally a break" (Althea, said)

The Holy Goddess Althea 19,000 years old.

Althea had grown to become an extremely beautiful lady beyond compare.

She was about five feet 7 and had straight white long 8 feet hair that for some reason never got dirty as it dragged on the floor.

Every immortal hair's bottom tip never seemed to fully touch the floor like it somehow floated.

Her fuchsia pink eyes had gotten bigger and her white thick long feather-like lashes fluttered as she closed her eyes and opened them slowly observing the sight of the immortal lake

She was the exact jewel of Heaven, her beauty was unparalleled to no other, although no god and goddess were ugly here.

It was like a large group of attractive young people.

Just think that her parents were very very old in years but not at all in features.

That was because immortals did not age, well they did but very very very slowly.

She had worked very hard to make her parents and her people proud and just like any other day she had been busy.

Today she tried to hurry to her favorite spot where she had recently found.

And that was where she was looking directly.

She was looking at the low crystal clear water.

The immoral town was right down a little below the Heaven's Palace where most of the Immortals gathered and lived.

It was as if it was a large town and the surrounding areas near the Heaven's Palace section were the capital itself.

There were other places besides the immortal town but since Althea had recently come to aid with the divine beast that some immortals had caught who had gotten hurt Althea did not mind sharing her divine energy.

That was what she had been doing besides providing reincarnation in different realms alongside fulfilling her role as the appointed saintess.

Just like her mother had done so for generations to generations and her grandmother who had passed down the title.

On the occasion that she had come down into the immortal town, there were a couple of divine beasts who had been hurt just for their own good.

You see some Divine beasts did respect the Heaven's however some were a little naughty and liked to play around causing trouble such as stealing the immortal's meat, toy balls, and so on.

Nothing really bad.

So the immortals, gods, and goddesses did not hate them it was as if they were children.

But there was one particular divine beast the Immortals could not catch due to its power.

It seemed to be a unique beast although like its kind it was the same except for its colors.

It was a fluffy pink cat with fushia pinky eyes.

It had white angel wings that seemed to match its white spots.

It looked like a cute ragdoll cat she had seen from the vision pond.

Although it looked like it was grown as to any normal cat would grow up in the real world this cute pink cat was actually still a baby.

They lived for many many years as well this cat will eventually grow up to become very huge and tall.

To be precise it would grow up to be around 7 feet to nine feet tall.

At first, it took some time to catch it but she did not give up.

Eventually, everyone became surprised when she managed to tame it.

And now all the effort had paid off.

The divine cat seemed to follow her everywhere becoming her pet obviously she fell in love with this adorable cute divine cat.

Today she had finished faster thanks to her divine cat who seemed to control the other divine beasts so Althea decided to go to the secret lake she had unexpectedly found as she had chased her divine cat at the bringing before taming her.

It was just such a beautiful scene just as if it were a fairy tale.

The water did not seem deep and the whole area was covered in large trees that were covered in cherry blossoms everywhere that had fallen into the lake.

She had never gotten inside the lake but it looked prey shallow.

She had laid her shoes gently down feeling the grass turning around to look down at her divine cat who was expecting the ball they usually played with.

'Swish'

With a magic swirl, a ball with little bells appeared.

'Swish'

"Roxy, it's all yours girl" (Althea, said)

She said as she made the ball roll around her so Roxy could chase it around.

"Meow" (Roxy cat, meowing)

"Giggle" (Althea, giggled)

'Plop'

Althea giggled happily as she sat down watching Roxy chasing the ball.

However.

"Meow" (Roxy cat, meowing)

She heard Roxy meowing sadly.

'Open'

Althea opened her eyes as she saw the ball rolling into the lake.

Roxy did not like the water it seemed as if she had been traumatized.

And Althea had only placed that ball in her invisible portal pouch which meant that was the only ball she had brought.

'Get up'

"It's alright I'll get it Roxy" (Althea, said)

Althea got up gently without complaint.

'Step, Step, Step'

Walking.

'Halt'

Stop walking

Althea made her way all the way to the front of the lake which still looked shallow.

She lifted the hem of her dress and stepped inside the lake which indeed was shallow and cold, or so she thought.

'Sucked in'

'Widen'

"Ah....!" (Althea, said)

The soft sand that was felt on her bare feet soon disappeared and she was sucked into the water.

Her eyes widened as her body unconsciously felt as if it was dragging her down and since she didn't hold her breath on time since it had caught her off guard she quickly tried to cover her mouth but the water had entered her mouth.

What was this?

She was an immortal there was no way she could die so why did she feel like she was dying?

'Father! Mother! Help me!' (Althea's inner thoughts)

She thought as if she was losing consciousness choking on the water.

It was killing her.

'Hellier....someone please....help me..' (Althea's inner thoughts)

'Close'

Althea had finally consciousness and as her body continued to go down into the depths of the lake as the darkness soon reached her.

'SPLASH'

'DIVE'

'Swim'

'Grab'

'Kiss'

Suddenly an attractive manly man with long black hair down his feet and red ruby-blooded eyes with black and red ruby color straps had dived in swing toward her kissing her as to give her oxygen.

'PULL'

'SWIM'

He pulled her out and off the water giving her CPR as Roxy approached nearby crying.

"Meow, Meow" (Roxy the cat, meow)

"Come on lady wake up" (Adlaricus, said)

"COUGH, COUGH" (Althea, coughed)

"Heuck, Heuck" (Althea, breathing heavily)

Luckily Althea woke up pretty quickly regaining consciousness and sat up immediately opening her eyes turning to the side as she placed her palms on the grass while her eyes were wide although her eyes were not focussed.

"Haha, I thought I would have died" (Althea, said)

"And you would have going into those waters" (Adlaricus, said)

"Don't you know the recent Red waters kill any immortals?" (Adlaricus, asked)

Suddenly a dissatisfied voice was heard from in front of her.

'Halt'

'Turn'

'Who-who is this man?!' (Althea's inner thoughts)

She turned to look at the person with the attractive deep mean voice however as her eyes instantly locked on his face...

'Blush'

Her face quickly painted a pink.

'He is so attractive!' (Althea's inner thoughts)

Even completely drenched in water.

Yes, she should have been worrying about the situation and about how she was about to die but how could she not be caught off guard with such an attractive face she had never seen before especially the dripping water droplets that ran through his sexy face?

He was definitely better looking than the K-pop idols and any male celebrity she had seen not even in the fantasy realm or this came close to this man's attractiveness.

"Thank you for saving my life" (Althea, said)

Seeing how oblivious or naive she had ignored the question of her getting in the red waters.

But we'll at this moment she thanked him first.

"Don't thank me, thank your crying cat who dragged me here with its claws" (Adlaricus, said)

Althea turned around and looked down at Roxy who climbed up her thighs.

Althea grabbed her and hugged her.

"I'm alright Roxy, thank you for telling this-sorry what is your name?" (Althea, asked)

Althea patted Roxy then turned with a blushing expression to ask him.

He had grabbed the bottom of his clothes squeezing it as the water came out.

"Adlaricus" (Adlaricus, said)

Adlaricus said without turning.

"Adlaricus? I've never heard that name before perhaps are you a-" (Althea, said)

"Lady again what were you thinking about going to a hallucinogen blood lake?" (Adlaricus, said)

He turned around with a little snap.

'Huh? Wait why is he?' (Althea's inner thoughts)

'Besides, what is he talking about red waters? Or Blood Lake?' (Althea's inner thoughts)

Yes, this man was attractive but his attitude.

"Hey I only went in there to get Roxy's ball and what is a hallucinogen blood lake or red waters? I've never heard of that before" (Althea, asked)

She said with a hurt tone.

No one had ever spoken to her like that especially since she had never been rude to anyone.

She had always been pure, gentle, kind, and innocent.

Adlaricus's face eased down as he noticed and turned around at her question side glancing as he swished his and across the lake.

'Widen'

"?!" (Althea)

Her eyes widen at the scene in front even Roxy hiding in between her arms.

Before her was no longer the green grass it was just black sand and the trees were completely cut off.

The nice crystal clear lake had become red like blood.

Adlarcius who was wet was covered in blood and she was too.

'Gets up'

'PANIC'

"W-WHAT?! WHAT IS THIS I-I" (Althea, yelled)

She had never seen such a horrific scene like this.

Yes, she gazed down from time to time at the lake each time she came down to the immortal's town but she had never seen the true image of this lake.

She had been shaken up at the thought that she was dying in that water of blood.

Some could say she really had seen only beautiful things.

It was obvious she felt fear, nervous, overwhelmed, and confusion had overtaken her.

She fainted with Roxy in her arms however her body did not touch the ground.

Adlaricus had caught her.

He stared at her fainted face that was covered in blood.

Even if she was covered in blood now she was still beautiful.

He compared to her saw her covered with blood from the very beginning.

'Lift up'

He lifted her up in a bridle carry as Roxy looked up.

"Meow" (Roxy cat, meowed)

Roxy mowed looking at him with grateful eyes before cuddling and laying down again on Althea's stomach.

This time Roxy had let her cat body touch Adlaricus's chest as if she could trust him while her little face was looking at the fainted Althea.

He took a quick glance at Roxy's collar.

Then at Althea.

'Is she related to the Royal family...' (Adlaricus's inner thoughts)

With those thoughts, he took a step forward.

"Ah, it was horrible! I must-" (Althea, yelled)

Althea woke up yelling as she woke up clean with completely different clothes as if they had bathed her.

"Thea! Oh Thea I'm so happy you woke up!" (Marcyin, yelled)

But before she could finish someone yelled happily and embraced her.

'Turn'

"Marcyin what are you doing here? And wait where is that strange man's his name is was something like Adlaricus's-" (Althea, said)

"Adlaricus, a 20,000-year-old god of protection and war the one that took 900 soldiers and managed to win against the demon of the underworld" (Marcyin, said)

"If you're referring to that man.... although the god of protection should be the second address title despite the Heavenly Emperor's suggestion he did not take it he said one title was enough" (Marcyin, said)

Marcyin's immortal friend 20,000 years old.

'Heart, Heart'

Althea's fushia pink eyes formed pink hearts.

'I feel bad for Hellier' (Marcyin's inner thoughts)

She said with a concerned face at Althea's eyes but at the same time pouting but Althea interrupted her.

"Marcy of course I'm glad" (Althea, said)

Althea said as she hugged Marcyin tightly with joy.

"Hey, Hey don't go overboard" (Marcyin, said)

Marcyin said pushing her away with a blushed expression.

'Grab'

She grabbed Roxy who was lying in Althea's bed into her arms.

"I'm starting to get a little concerned here even Roxy seemed to want to be around that terrifying man and now especially that he's staying in the palace'" (Marcyin, said)

'Cover'

Marcyin quickly covered her mouth as if she had accidentally spouted out.

'Stare'

She looked up at Althea.

'Blink, Blink, Blink'

'SPARKLE'

But Althea was fluttering her lashes blinking as if she was begging her to tell her where he was with such a sparkling atmosphere.

"Haa" (Marcyin, sighed)

'I know I'm going to regret this' (Marcyin's inner thoughts)

Marcyin had obviously told her where he should be at the moment and told her the whole situation about what happened and what the hallucinogen blood lake was.

Just thinking she was almost sucked into the demon's real underworld however the mood brighten when she peeked out from the tree at Adlaricus who was standing there looking at the fuschia flowers.

Adlaricus said with a tone he knew that they were looking at him.

She flinched as if she was caught but still stepped out.

She said with a warm smile making Adlaricus's red eyes unconsciously unwaver.

"Let me introduce myself again" (Althea, said)

"I'm The Holy goddess Of Heave Althea, but you can just call me Althea" (Althea, said)

'Shalala'

She was indeed more beautiful without being covered by blood than he had imagined.

Not even the word beauty was deemed of her, it was a beauty that could not be described.
