Chapter 29: Althea And Hellier

My name is Althea.

I am the daughter of The Great Emperor God Of Heaven and the daughter of The Great Empress Goddess Of Heaven.

Both of my parents are the rulers of the Heaven and I Althea are their only daughter.

My days consist of being adored by gods, goddesses, and immortals.

I also spent my days playing with spirits, fighting with imps over what flower is prettier, and sometimes I chat with souls and spirits.

Yes, that was all fun and games but that was my play time.

In reality, I'm just a very cheerful person but I cannot forget what my duty is.

One day I will grow up old to become someone my parents and my people could be proud of.

Althea, age 700 years old.

A child who looked to be 7 years old but in good years was 700 years old.

She wore a white long one fluffy dress with a golden seal of the royal heaven family as the center of her strapped fabric.

Althea had long white straight hair down to her knees as she wore a fuschia pink flower wreath crown.

She sat down under a cherry blossom tree with a sad expression feeling the cherry blossom's sweet smell as the petals fluttered around.

Today I'm 700 years old it should be a joyful day only 500 years for me to take the God and Goddess test.

However, as the only heir to heaven, I must take more tests of providence than any other god, goddess, or soul who wants to reincarnate.

Today my 700-year birthday first test I must guide a soul to the pond of reincarnation.

There were two ponds.

A male and female pond.

Our job is to make sure they are able to pass after they have been judged however today....I was very nervous but I thought I would not mess up.

And just as I had not hoped I messed up.

I sent a soul to the reincarnation of an animal.

That was actually the third reincarnation call.

There were many reincarnation call actually but the reincarnation call that father and mother would usually use the human reincarnation call.

On occasion, there were souls who asked to be reincarnated as animals but most only chose to stay between to stay as human.

There were other reincarnation calls but my father had to seek counsel with his partners.

Different mortals had different religions and cultures so they did not know where exactly to categorize us.

To put it simply we live in a sacrament sky of dimensions.

Mortals did not believe in dimensions but their sure was dimensions.

Father loved sending souls to Earth they called.

A planet with technology, dollar bills, and celebrities like K-pop that my mother and I watched from the vision pond.

My mother and I always loved happy stories and pretty dresses.

So of course the fantasy dimension was our favorite.

A dimension based on a magical fairy tale world that almost looked like a book although our heaven realms were not different it was quite magical.

They too had colorful eyes just like us.

It's a shame regular Earth humans did not have purple eyes, pink eyes, or golden eyes but green, blue, and brown eyes they would have been more beautiful.

Although I love all the colors.

I love every human and every dimension including the fairy dimension.

The underworld scared me and the helpless souls stuck on earth hunting terrified me too but it was sad too.

Anyway, I accidentally dropped a soul into the animal reincarnation system from the male pond when my father, mother, and my people were watching.

When we drop a soul into the pond of a female and the male as they call for a reincarnation call summoning the world or being they shall become.

She definitely made sure not to call the fantasy reincarnation call because she hadn't reminded herself that she could not call upon the animal reincarnation call.

'Close'

Althea closed her eyes as her expression saddened and reflected guilt.

It just so happened that Althea had called the reincarnation call into the animal pond for accident as her nerves had kicked in.

Once called upon the realm of the soul would automatically suck in without stopping it unless someone goes and gets it.

Either three people could do that.

The great reaper, the heavenly gods, or apprentice gods.

Under no circumstances could an immortal descend to the mortal world.

If not they would become a mortal without being able to return till the span of their life.

Father said it was alright but I knew Father tried to only cheer me up.

"I've already messed up my 700-year test...how could I become someone worthy to rule?" (Althea, asked)

She said with a sad sigh.

"I know Athy could do it! Athy don't give up mistakes are normal you should have seen me when father told me to bless souls with happiness and I ended up blessing the criminal soul who had not gone into the judgment room"(Hellier, said)

Suddenly a 9-year-old-looking boy peeked from a three with his happy pink painted cheeks.

He had blonde hair and bumble-gum blue eyes.

He was Althea's childhood friend Hellier, a 900-year-old god.

The second son of The God of Love and The Goddess of Happiness.

His eldest brother was currently an apprentice at the reincarnation ponds, more like a guard.

Hellier just like Althea would too inherit their parent's title.

Hellier would become the future second god of happiness while Althea would become the third holy goddess of heaven since her mother before she married was the holy goddess.

Althea would naturally inherit later the heavens but first, she must inherit the title of the holy goddess of divine power.

'Turn'

Althea's eyes opened and turned around startled.

"Helli?" (Althea, asked)

"What are you doing here?" (Althea, asked)

'Step, Step'

Walking.

'Halt'

Stop walking.

Hellier stepped out from the tree he was peeking from.

"I came looking for you dummy, although you can't seem to notice me" (Hellier, mumbled)

Hellier turned away as if embarrassed with a shy expression mumbling.

'Stand up'

Althea stood up again and approached Hellier on her tippy toes trying to reach him.

He was only a few centimeters tall but she had done so so she could hear him.

"Huh? What did you say Helli?" (Althea, asked)

She asked concerned since she saw that Hellier's face had reddened so she thought he had caught a fever.

'Dash'

Hellier moved quickly with a red face.

'Badump, Badump'

Hellier's heart beat fast.

'?' (Althea)

'Turn'

Hellier turned with a face so red.

'She was so close...each time she's so close...she's so cute...it makes me nervous' (Hellier's inner thoughts)

"Helli are you okay? Do you have a fever?" (Althea, asked)

She asked concerned.

'Turn'

"Sigh" (Hellier, sighed)

Hellier turned around to look at her and sighed as he gave up.

'Clasp'

He grabbed her hand and clasped it directing her out of the Heaven Place back garden.

"Come on Athlea our parents must be looking for us, don't put yourself down remember you have me by your side" (Hellier, said)

Heller said encouraging her.

'....' (Althea)

'Smile'

Her lips raised into a smile as if she had been comforted.

"I'm glad to have a friend like you Hellier" (Althea, said)

'Halt'

Unciously Hellier's body halted but not his steps.

'Friend...' (Hellier's inner thoughts)

Hellier's lips raised bitterly.

'SHOW'

"Look Hellier I got my holy goddess seal!" (Althea, said)

The Holy Goddess Althea age 12,000 years old.

Althea had earned her holy goddess mark, the mark that her mother has.

She felt proud after the countless of tests she had passed she had finally become the second holy goddess.

"See I told you, now I won't feel so alone as the God of Happiness" (Hellier, said)

The God Of Happiness Hellier age 14,000 years old.

Hellier teased her as if he patted her hair.

She was joyfully smiling with cluelessness as Hellier's eyes were only on her.

For 500 years that had passed, he would have hoped she would notice how he felt towards her but she was so clueless about things.

Perhaps because he chose to hide it from everyone's eyes afraid that they would tell her and their friendship would never be the same.

The only time he'd show his inner feelings was when she was around.

And at that, he was quite good at hiding his feelings no one truly suspected.

He had thought that perhaps if he had some more time she would come to notice how she felt for her, he wouldn't just be a friend in her heart.

At last, that was what he had hoped for that was until one god stepped in his path.
