Chapter 2: Snatch Your Play

Aurora's hands moved unconsciously as she placed her palms on Arian's left and right cheeks.

Aurora and Arian stared at each other's eyes.

She couldn't tell if she was imagining things after death, now that her brother looked a few years younger.

She tiltlet her head as she kept her eyes guled on Arian. Then patted his cheeks and scanned Arian's face.

'What is this lunatic doing?' (Arian's inner thoughts)

Arian on the other hand looked confused as Aurora looked at him in curiosity.

'I can't stand it!' (Arian's inner thoughts)

"Take your hands off." (Arian, said)

He raised his voice as he glared at Aurora in disgust.

'Am I supposed to have a dream so realistic in the afterlife?' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

At Arian's cold tone Aurora quickly removed her hands but continued to look at him confused.

Arian had soft parted  fuchsia pink hair and dark blue eyes just like Aurora and marquess Elex.

He was wearing a black men's suit with golden embrodery that matched his black blouse. As his dark blue stashes hung across his chest, the dark blue tie with a golden jewel in the center brought elegance to his eyes.

Arian was the eldest child and the future heir to the Lepiliondel family. Someone who was also loved by many people like Adelina.

'His tone and even his expressions are really impeccable' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

She thought as she looked at Arian.

'What is she staring at?' (Arian's inner thoughts)

Arian frowned and spoke again as he kept eye contact with Aurora.

"Don't ever touch my face like that again." (Arian, said)

Arian forrow his brows and started to get up.

"Your nasty scent is all over me, you know how long it will take to rinse off?" (Arian, asked)

Arian looked down at Aurora and brushed off the dust from his knees.

"..." (Aurora)

Aurora turned her face to the left and to the right.

'Isn't this the dining room? And not just any dining room...' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

The dining room that they were sitting in was quite small compared to the other two.

Aurora was never allowed to enter any dining room unless it was permitted especially this dining room.

The June dining room was known for discussions of serious matters. No other servant was allowed, they could only drop the plates and go out, unlike the other dining rooms where some maids and servants stood there for assistance.

This dining room had walls that appear to be made out of gold. Compared to the other dining tables this table was quite short with ten limited chairs.

Even so, the table and the chairs themselves were a nice light brown glossy wood.

'I have only been here once in my past life... this must be' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Aurora dropped her gaze down in confusion.

"Gasp" (Aurora)

Aurora's eyes widen.

'This dress...Adelina let me borrow the day of...' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

It was a mint dress with pink ribbons and golden embroidery. It had many ruffles which made the dress look a bit fluffy.

Her gaze soon fell upon her mint-long gloves that covered her marks.

'If my brother is younger, if I'm here in this dinging room, and wearing these outfits then it could only mean one thing!' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

'Spring'

Aurora suddenly stood up and immediately made eye contact with her frowning father.

Her father's blue eyes galred at her in disapproval.

His  fuchsia pink hair was combed in the same right side style he had always worn.

He was wearing a black men's suit with minimal golden ebrodery along with the dark blue slashes that hung from his left top shoulder and went down to the middle of his chest where his coat closed. He wore a dark blue top that matched his eyes and toped it off with a white tie for finishing touches.

And of course, the masterpiece of this dining room design was the family portrait.

'That famous painter sure did a good job' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

The family portrait was Arian, Adelina, marquess Elix, and the deceased marchioness who were painted.

Marquess Elix was standing alongside marchioness Aliana behind a red couch with a dark brown glossy border. While on the other Arian sat on the left and Adelina sat on the right.

It was a painting where Adelina was around ten years old and Arian was thirteen years old.

As Aurora stared from a distance at the expensive antique portrait with golden borders that did not include her, a sweet innocent voice sounded.

"Sister?" (Adelina, asked)

Aurora turned at Adelina's voice.

Her dark blue eyes stared at her, studying her as she sat there with her dark blue dress of course the matching peace to her brother and father.

Her long straight yellow corn hair with her blunt bangs was being held by a dark blue ribbon in a half up half-down hairstyle.

'You..you took everything away from me.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

'Dream or not if I really have gone back in time I'll pay you back the same way you did...death' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

She scrunched her eyes at Adelina.

Aurora was too focused starting at Adelina when her father's strict voice was finally heard.

"Aurora" (Marquess Elex, said)

Aurora turned her head again and faced her father.

"Are you done with your raucous?" (Marquess Elex, asked)

He asked as he glared at Aurora.

Adelina added innocently and stretched out her right hand on top of her father's left hand.

"Oh father, be patient she must have been shocked." (Adelina, said)

Adelina frowned sadly at her father and turned to look at Aurora in the distance near the golden walls.

"Afterall, a marriage to an illegitimate monster must have been shocking news to my dear sister." (Adelina, said)

Adelina's lips curled up as her eyes narrowed shaming Aurora.

Marquess Elex smiled warmly at Adelina and placed his right hand softly on top of Adelina's right hand.

"Your right my sweetheart he is a monster indeed. No sane woman would marry a crazy war bastard like him." (Marquess Elex, said)

He turned to Aurora in the distance as his sweet smile faded.

"Still, an action like this is quite immature. Have you not learned anything from the classes, or are the teacher I hired doing a bad job at teaching you?" (Marquess Elix asked)

"A person like her probably doesn't know what that word means father, no matter how many classes or professors teachers you provide her with are not enough for a fool like her" (Arian, said)

Arian who was still standing some distance from Aurora added to their father's remarks.

'How funny to call me the fool, your just upset that I surpass you in the business strategy class.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

'There's no point in arguing over a pointless person like him. My goal today is to accept this marriage without any stepbacks. If It doesn't go through the same thing will happen as my past life.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Aurora took a peek at Adelina.

'This cruel woman will take advantage if I say no. She herself suggested the marriage to the emperor only to gain favor with him and shame his first son. She knows I'll say no but it will be different this time. I will never let her step on me or him ever again. That poor man did nothing wrong and only received humiliation and abuse.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

'After all, she's the dumb one here, I can't wait till she finds out who is the real royal impostor.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

A small smirk formed from Aurora's lips as she stared at Adelina.

'Did she smile? What's she..' (Adelina's inner thoughts)

A shiver ran through Adelina's spine.

'Slam'

"Aurora are you listening?" (Marques Elex, yelled)

Aurora turned her head and looked at him indifferently.

'That look..she would of shrink and shivered at my yell so what's with that face' (Marquess's inner thoughts)

Aurora's smirk got bigger.

'I know what you are thinking, do you think I was going to suppress like I always do with your abuse?' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Aurora grabbed the hem of her mint dress walking towards her seat while Arian stood standing scanning her as he observed her unusual behavior.

"Ngh" (Aurora)

Aurora let out a small cry in pain as she looked at her right gloved hand.

'It still hurts..' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Marquess Elex and Adelina luckily heard nothing but Arian who was close to Aurora unconsciously stretched out his hand to grab Aurora's right hand and ...

'Slap'

Aurora had slapped Arian's hand off before it could touch her.

"Hey!" (Arian, yelled)

"You said to not touch you, so don't touch me." (Aurora, said)

Aurora looked at him with cold eyes and sat down at the table.

She looked down at the left white circle plate  with sweet chopped barbeque grilled steak. By the looks of it, she had already taken a bite since a silver fork was standing in the stake while the silver knife with barbeque juice lay within the pate. As for her right, there was a light yellow soup with some green vapored heated vegetables and a small silver spoon alongside.

'I'll have indigestion...' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Aurora finally looked up at her father.

'Anyways..' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

"I apologize, it wasn't due to the marriage request that I acted un lady like. I accidentally swallowed too fast, as you know the food is quite delicious." (Aurora, said)

Aurora said politely and elegantly.

"..." (Adelina, Arian, and Marquess)

Marquess lifted the white napkin, wiped his mouth, and set it down.

'Plop'

Napkin drop.

"Ahem..I see then what is your answer?" (Marquess Elex, asked)

"I'll do it." (Aurora, said)

She answered without hesitation.

"I'll do that marriage." (Aurora, said)

Aurora smiled confidently.

"!!" (Adelina, Arian, and Maruqess Elex)

"What?" (Arian, asked)

Arian asked as he turned his dumbstruck face to Aurora.

Aurora ignored him as she continued to stare at her father confidently.

"You will?" (Marquess Elex, asked)

Marquess Elex's eyes widen in surprise and soon Adelina interrupted.

"Sister you really don't mean it do you? Besides the emperor only asked as a suggestion it doesn't mean you have to accept it you can reject the proposal." (Adelina, said)

'No, she can't! I was sure she would have said no! I know her the best there was no way she would say yes?!' (Adelina's inner thoughts)

Adelina thought worriedly as a drop of sweat dropped from her left cheek.

'This must be your really worried face uh?' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

'I bet you it's the first time you have felt fear. After all, if your power source is gone you will no longer have your saintess powers.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Aurora removed her side glance from Adelina and focused her eyes back on her father ignoring her as well.

"Even so I still want to marry that man." (Aurora, said)

'Bang'

Arian had stood up and banged the wooden table with both fists.

Everyone looked at Arian.

"Father he's a monster, who knows what he will do to Aurora!" (Arian, yelled)

'Is he upset?' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Aurora thought as she looked at the angry Arian.

"Arian Lepiliondel what manners are thoes?" (Marquess Elex, asked)

Marquess Elex furrowed his brows as he looked at Arian.

"As the heir of the marquess, you can't behave like this." (Marquess Elex, said)

Soon again a soft voice sounded.

"Father brother is right, maybe this is not a good id-" (Adelina, said)

But before she finished Aurora interrupted her.

'Oh no you don't (Aurora's inner thoughts)

"No, what would the emperor think? Imagine how much the emperor would praise you for accepting the offer. No other noble lady is willing to take him as a husband yet he still has to marry. Why not take the emperor's worries off his chest after all wouldn't you want to be praised by the emperor?" (Aurora, asked)

'Even though the emperor hated his first son, according to imperial law his son still had to marry someone but no noble ladies or families wanted to marry off their daughters to him. This caused great arguments between the emperor and the imperial representatives. Father knows that as well..' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Marquess grabbed his chin thinking.

'Mmm...I suppose getting more praise couldn't hurt' (Marquess Elex's inner thoughts)

"Well, your right. Then it's decided you shall marry duke Dorion Raniers." (Marquess, said)

Marquess Elex smiled proudly with his eyes closed.

But it was a different case for his opposing children.

"Father!" (Adelina and Arian)

"Enough both of you, my decision is made and there will be no objections." (Marquess Elex, said)

He opened his eyes and looked at Adelina.

"Sweetheart, there's no reason to object when you were the one to suggest it." (Marquess Elex, said)

Marquess Elex innocently said but for Adelina, it was shame.

Her face soon turn red as she trembled in anger.

'What am I going to do now? Even the empress won't have a say in this!' (Adelina's inner thoughts)

"Adelina you shouldn't have" (Arian, said)

Arian said with a resentful voice as he looked at Adelina.

"B-Brother I-" (Adelina, said)

But before she could finish Arian ignored her and turned to face Aurora.

"Out of anyone you had to marry an illegitimate monster." (Arian, said)

Arian clenched his fists in anger.

"..." (Aurora)

'He's better than any of you could ever be.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Aurora picked up her fork and knife and began to cut the meet.

'Chomp'

She chew a peace of meat in her mouth and ignored Arian.

Her indifferent attitude raised Arian's anger even more.

"Tsk" (Arian)

Arian clicked his tong from the side.

Arain walked out fruriously.

'Bang'

"Father" (Adelina, said)

Adelina said timidly.

"Let him." (Marquess Elex, said)

"..." (Adelina)

Adelina looked at Aurora eating her stake elegantly.

'Ugh not only did this bitch agree but she caused dishoromny between me and my brother. Even my father went against my wishes..' (Adelina's inner thoughts)

Aurora could feel her stare.

'Stare all you want, it just brings satisfaction to my heart.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

"Aurora" (Marquess Elex, said)

"Yes?" (Aurora ,asked)

She turned and looked at her father.

"After we are done meet me at the office" (Marquess Elex, said)

'Nod' (Aurora)

Adelina bit her nails as she continued to furiously glare at Aurora.

'What have I done! I'll loose my source. I won't be able to heal and if she finds out...' (Adelina's inner thoughts)
