Chapter 10: The Good And Evil Relics

Second day At Rainers Private Libary-

An enormous private library with hundreds of thousands of books from left to right. From bottom to top.

Rolling light brown stairs that slid through the first floor.

Pearl color stairs with light brown borders lead up to the second floor.

And one huge window with a long wide window seat with a black cushion cover matching the black marble flooring.

The library was made out of a warm cozy fairytale environment where a prince and princess would read.

The pearl-colored walls matched the light brown painting borders whom the famous artist had crafted after their very well-known painting.

'The paintings seem to be very expensive.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Aurora looked at the painting of a man and a woman dancing in a carnival. That painting was hand painted by the famous painter Archer who was known in the empire before he died.

The price of his paintings soon increased as they became more valuable.

'Well, let do what I came to find' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

When Aurora had toured the private library that she and her husband were allowed. Wenly gave her a map of each section so it facilitate her job faster.

She walked near the bed set window where a tall shelf of books stood.

'This should be the ancient jewels (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Her eyes skimmed through each row.

"Ah" (Aurora, said)

"Found it." (Aurora, said)

She pulled out a burgundy book with an old golden rustic book border. The title was 'The Precious Ancient Jewels.'

'Wow so many jewels' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

She thought as she flipped page after page.

The book consisted of many pictures of jewels and information about them on the side.

She continued to flip through pages as she skimmed the information till...

'Halt'

She came to a stop at the title of 'The Light And Dark Jewels' the first page had a set of three jewels, two that looked familiar.

'I found it!' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

The front page had the three jewels which were a bracelet, a ring, and a necklace.

The bracelet, which was exactly like the one that Adelina possessed. It had eight light green jewels wrapped around with a golden cord to hold it together.

The ring which was the one the empress possessed was a golden ring with a big dark blue jewel in between.

And finally the necklace, a necklace she had never seen before. It was quite a simple golden necklace that contained an oval red-shaped jewel.

They were all different in their own way but what they share in common was the initials between them.

"H.G.O.H" (Aurora, said)

She read the initials out loud as she wonder what they meant.

Her eyes turned to look at the letters at the bottom of the title.

She read the letters in bold 'Both good and evil, on which a holder possesses.' (Written in the book)

Her eyes moved down as she continued to read the regular letters.

'These precious jewels were once owned by the Holy Goddess Of Heaven' (Written book)

She paused.

'So this is what the initials meant...then these jewels belong to the holy goddess of heaven' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

She continued to read.

'These jewels are called The Cora bracelet, The Holax ring, and the Yveren necklace. Unlike other jewels, these jewels were their own but also possessed the power to unify. ' (Written book)

'So they can work as individuals but can come together...interesting.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

After reading the last sentence she moved to the picture of the bracelet where the side information was at.

'The Cora bracelet light attributes for the wearer are to restrain darkness including shadows, demons, and any type of curses.' (Written in the book)

She moved to the dark descriptions.

'The Cora bracelet's dark attributes for the wearer are, it falls helplessly under the control of the Holox ring. This bracelet only follows the wearer's ring command as a commanded.' (Written in the book)

'Fortunately,  the Cora bracelet does not fall under the categories of command to the Yverene necklaces' (Written in the book)

'So, then does this mean if the fake empress is wearing that ring she gets to command Adelina as she pleases? No, wait a minute..' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

"No, way...impossible." (Aurora, said)

She closed her eyes remembering more than three encounters of Adelina's strange behavior but the ones that stuck with her the most was when she and Adelina were five playing in her room but there was a flower in a pot that somehow Adelina was allergic to so Aurora tried to get rid of it but Adelina got mad and yelled at her in a demonic voice as her white eyeballs had changed completely black.

The second one was when Adelina was twelve years old and she didn't want to do the saintess homework and so Aurora did it and when she was about to knock on Adelina's slightly opened door to give her the finished homework she found Adelina looking in her bedroom mirror as if some of her hands had turned black. This startled Aurora so she closed her eyes and when she opened them to check Adelina's hand's through the creek of the door the black stuff covering her arms was now gone.

Finally, this one took a told on Aurora.

When Adelina was seventeen she had arrived from a noble party where prince Jerek happened to attend too. Unfortunately, at this party, a noble lady had dropped wine on her green dress and made it seem like an accident. This not only embarrassed Adelina but it made her infuriated. So when Adelina arrived at the Lepiliondel family estate she had recked her room from throwing the furniture, to ripping the curtains and breaking her mirror.

No servant dared to approach her as even marquess Elex and Arian thought so too. So the only thing they could do was check on her by sending Aurora over.

When Aurora entered Adelina's room she saw her sitting in front of her broken mirror as she talked to herself without noticing Aurora's presence.

Aurora had thought to herself who was Adelina talking to, but those answers soon came as she asked her 'Who are you talking to?' She asked, but at that moment it was as if she should have just minded her own business.

Adelina had turned around with whole black eyes while countless black veins emerged from her eyes and black spots covered the front of her body including her neck top chest and her arms meanwhile black shadows seemed to emerge from her bracelet yet still attached to it while they began to surround Adelina whispering to her...

"Eat her" (Shadow's whispers)

"I need power" (Shadow's whispers)

"I'm hungry." (Shadow's whispers)

At this moment all Aurora could do was run away and hide under her bed after she locked the door.

(The flashbacks ended)

"I never said anything because they would have never believed me or maybe it was because it was I who was seeing things. I did have my doubts, about her having something attached to her, darkness attached but I thought it be crazy to even think that." (Aurora, said)

"But how? Wasn't it the fake empress who gave it to Adelina? She too seemed to have the power to change people's memories..then does that mean the empress is a demon?" (Aurora, asked)

She asked herself as she grabbed her chin.

Suddenly, she remembered something.

'Maybe it wasn't the fake empress who had the power but an object...' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

"The ring!" (Aurora, said)

She looked at the image of the ring and the side information.

'The Holox ring light attributes for the wearer is to alter memories and with the addition of the Cora bracelet, the Holax ring will be able to have sufficient power to alter even more memories including replacing new ones according to the Holox ring wearer's will. This can become a two-edged sword if the wearer is using it for a dark attribute.' (Written in the book)

Aurora's hands dropped, she had to sit down and process what she had just read.

"So that's how she did it...she caused all this pain for her own selfish desire..." (Aurora, said)

"What was she after then? Power? The emperor's love?" (Aurora, asked)

"No in the first place how did she even get her hands on these jewels? And this still doesn't explain why Adelina looked like a demon.." (Aurora, said)

Her eyes turned to the book again.

'I only seen the bracelet and the ring...then what about the necklace?' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

She looked at the neckless and the side information.

'The Yveren neckless light attributes, include holy purification and can access control over the Holox ring with, of course, the Holox ring purified or within the light attribute. If infused by the dark attribute it must be purified. Unfortunately, the Cora bracelet does not fall under command by the Yveren neckless' (Written in the book)

'It seems to be like a holy power booster' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

She continued to read.

'The Yveren neckless dark attribute is one of the giant puzzle pieces to complete the Quin necklace.' (Written in the book)

'Flip'

The next image was a fuchsia pink rose gold necklace.

She read the side information.

'The Quin neckless is the unified three jewels after the chant '-----------' spell to unify them. The unified jewels are the Cora bracelet, the Holox ring, and the Yverne bracelet. These can jewels can only be unified as the Quin necklace if they are all under the light attribute and have chanted the spell.' (Written in the book)

Her eyes finally turned to a golden crown with fuchsia pink jewels and fuchsia pink decorative jewel roses.

'The Rose crown is not to be taken lightly by its majestic's looks. This crown can only be manifested once you possess the Quin necklace, that being said the wearer will be of light attributes and will be able to manifest the rose crown with this chant '---------' when it appears it will have the ability to grant one wish, any wish, such as bringing someone back to life or for worse far off like the wearer two hundred years ago, who wish to break a seal.' (Written in the book)

'So if you don't possess the Quin neckless you can't manifest the crown...' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

Her eyes continued to move down as she read.

'The history of a wish, the only and last wish a wearer made at the possession of the crown before it disappeared.' (Written in the book)

'A long time ago the Rose crown was used for a wish, a wish to break the seal of Maraham the demon of destruction. The light attribute wearer who had yet not made a wish became corrupted over time and fell at the hands of the shadows commanded by Maraham. He had convinced a holy saint to wish for his seal to be broken and for the second time, now the holy goddess and the god of protection to seal Maraham completely losing their lives in the process.' (Written in the book)

'So the holy goddess, the god of protection, and Maraham uh?' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

'Then the Rose crown is for wearers that manifest with good intentions' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

'To think someone could wish to break a seal how horrible..' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

'But then does this mean there is a way to break the memories alteration if they are already tainted with darkness or does the Rose crown do it?' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

'Flip'

Flipping pages.

'To cleanse the jewel's wrongdoings you must possess the Yverne neckless and bring them to the cave of reflections.' (Written in the book)

Her eyes moved down to a picture of a beautiful white and pink fox.

'Find the white and pink fox who will follow the scent of the cave of reflections. Chant '-----' and the Yverne neckless will glow a golden color as it shins above the water. It will disapers golden dust around objects or people whose altered memories.' (Written in the book)

"Haaa" (Aurora)

She exhaled in relief.

'It seems if I find the Yveren neckless and I bring it to the cave of reflections it will automatically cleanse the Holox ring's wrong doing's. Here I thought I had to manifest a crown but even so, I still need to try and get the ring and the bracelet if they are using it for the dark attributes, I can't keep letting them do as they please but then what how do I even find the cave of reflections?' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

There was not much more information so she closes the book.

"How? How am I supposed to find the Yverne neckless if no one has seen it in two hundred years or less the white with a pink fox? Animals like that are in the Zent forest and the emperor does not permit anyone to enter it until the hunting ground' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

'Well let's say I attend this year how am I supposed to find it in that huge forest? It's not like the Zent forest is the emperor's but it's a dangerous place that's why it's restricted to go within the Forrest...' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

She looked out and the sun had already gone down, in fact, it was quite dark already.

"!" (Aurora)

She quickly stood up and remembered that Wenly had delivered her a message that her husband would be arriving very early during the third day, at midnight to be exact.

She ran quickly put the book back and grabbed one of the exotic animals and ran out to the bedroom.

She was sitting on the couch reading about the white and pink fox.

'Shituz fox is a race of white and pink rare foxes who reside in the Zent forest. They are very shy and tend to hide from anything at the moment it senses danger, there had been a rare case where they do approach humans but they must like you.' (Written in the book)

'They tend to reside near waterfalls and fuchsia pink roses.' (Written in the book)

"There's hope to encounter one then...yawn" (Aurora, said)

"Ha, I'm so tired and I still need to look into the god's history, on top of that I need to finish this book to see if there's something I can lower the fox with." (Aurora, said)

"Yawn" (Aurora)

'Well, perhaps I'll close my eyes for a little before continuing to read.' (Aurora's inner thoughts)

She had, unfortunately, feel asleep and had now lost her sense of awareness.

'Step, Step, Step'

Walking.

'Halt'

Stop walking.

Two pairs of black shoes had stopped in front of her.
