Edward actually managed to get some good amount of sleep. Susan had given him hope. He didn't need to work today, as Christmas was coming in two days and he had taken these days off. He was bored and so just decided to make a healthy breakfast for himself. The grandfathers clock showed the time; 10:48 a.m. The ticking sound always calmed Edward. The breakfast was finished fast and he still didn't know what to do today until Susan would come. He then realised, why he never liked to take breaks from work. Edward would just hang around in his home and do nothing. Connor had always been with Emma and Edward was left alone. 11:33. Five more hours until Susan came. He wanted the time to pass faster. Maybe a good sleep on the sofa would speed things up. He sat down on there and debated wether he should watch TV or not. He didn't. The news would surely just talk about more victims from the thing. Edward will here them soon anyway at work. He grabbed himself a comfy blanket and laid down.
Edward had a good three hour sleep. But there was still a lot of time to kill off. So he decided to clean the houseâexept Connor's room. His Walkman was playing a few songs from his favourite singers. He was finished quite early and decided to go upstairs into Connor's room to continue work. Just some simple work. The music was still playing; at the moment it was spice girls. Edward filled out some paperwork that needed to be done. He still had over an hour left until Susan and him had a kind of 'date'. Soon, he would start to prepare some food. His favourite song "Girls just wanna have fun" was interrupted by the door opening. Edward stood up and made his way towards it. "Probably just the wind.." He mumbled. A breeze of cold wind passed by him. The front door was open as well. He remembered his gun and went to the drawer to get it out. He started loading it while starting to go downstairs. The walkie talkie was on his belt and he got it out. »Moore on the radio. There might be an intruder in my house. If I don't respond again, send a unit over. Do you copy?« Edward said while getting closer to the wide open door. »Adam 21 here, I copy. We're in the near in any case.« The walkie was back in it's original place and Edward was now standing in front of the door. There were no footprints outside. So no one had come in or out. The only thing outside in the snow were triplets of blood.
"Shit." He said while stepping outside. He looked around the place before locking the door and following the blood trail. It probably has hurt someone. The blood became more, the more he followed it into the forest. The forest became darker and creaking sounds from the trees echoed around. Edward used his flashlight to look between the trees. A screech made a couple of birds fly away from the trees. The trees were moving. It was here. Edward looked closer between the trees and it eventually came out. It was just as terrifying as back then. Without hesitation, he started running. He knew shooting it would just be a waste of bullets. The steps from it were heavy and loud. Edward was panting and not paying attention to anything else besides that thing. While running, he got out his walkie talkie again. »MOORE HERE. IT'S AFTER ME. I NEED BACKUP IMMEDIATâARGH!« Edward fell over a tree stomp and the walkie broke after falling against the tree as well. His head and back hit a tree and so he leaned against it. The thing was maybe 4 feet away. Edward tried getting up, but it wasn't possible. There was blood leaking trough his right pants. He folded his pants up, to reveal a huge wound. He wouldn't be able to get away. The creature stopped nearly in front of him. It made a screeching sound again and looked down to Edward.

Susan arrived at the wooden house and was already happy to finally eat something. She had brought a red wine bottle and knocked on the door. "Edward, I'm here for your amazing cooking skills!~" Her fuzzy and warm boots were covered in snow. The door didn't open, which was unusual for Edward. She looked through the window and didn't see anyone. "Edward?" She put the bottle on the doorstep and looked around. Just like Edward, she noticed the blood triplets as well. "Oh no.." Susan left the bottle where it was and started to run after the trail. It must've gotten him,but maybe it wasn't too late. She couldn't even call anyone, as her phone had broken down earlier this morning. Her breath was fast and her shoes were wet from the snow. She yelled his name through the forest. There wasn't any response and she was starting to give her hopes up.

Edward was freezing and the blood kept coming out of the wound. His head was aching in pain. He looked at the thing. "Come on. Just do it already. I'll either die of the cold or you. Or are you waiting for me to pass out?" It just stared at him. It didn't even breathe. But after a few seconds, it started to bend down. "Finally..." It opened its mouth. The last thing Edward would see. The last thing he heard, was Susan screaming.
