Edward arrived on time. When the thing spotted his car, it made its way in the deep forest. Emma already had unlocked the door and let him inside. "Thanks for coming back so fast.." He nodded and closed the door. Edward wasn't hungry, so he went upstairs to Connor's room. The funeral was tomorrow. Emma only looked after him,she would sleep downstairs on the couch. After he arrived in the room, he took his jacket off and threw it on the bed. Edward sighed and sat down on the chair. He had already heard of the new victim. It wasn't his case though, so he didn't look much into it. He opened the drawers in the table to check for his gun. After the investigation from Mika was done, Edward had been able to get it back. But the drawer was empty. He shook his head and checked the other drawers; also empty. He sighed and decided to get in more comfortable clothes. Being finished with that, Edward walked downstairs, Emma was watching TV again. "Emma, have you seen my gun?" She looked at him confused. "No. I don't even know where you keep it." He scratched his head and sat down on the couch next to Emma. The news seemed interesting.

"...New information about the victim has just been made public by the Police Alaska. The victim was identified as 'Alia Askar', a young teenager from Germany. For any more information, call your local police."

Emma looked a little away. Hearing about all the victims wasn't pleasant. "When will it stop?" Edward looked at her. "Soon. I promise." He actually wasn't sure. He just wanted to give her some hope. "I'm going upstairs again. Get sleep soon." Edward stood up and went back in Connor's room. It still felt strange to enter the lifeless room, which usually was filled with joy. The funeral tomorrow, wouldn't have many people. Only the parents and other family members of Mika and Jenny, and a few officers. Edward sat on the chair again and looked at the pictures of it. He doesn't know who it is or where it comes from. Though, it seems attracted to his family. He had thought about moving away from the country, but it would probably be able to follow him. He shook his head. That was too much for him at the moment. It was 11 pm. Edward needed to get up early tomorrow,so he laid his head on the table and tried to fall asleep.  It was difficult. Really difficult. Whenever he closed his eyes, he saw the headless body of his own son. Maybe the images would never leave his mind. The whole thinking made him even more tired, so he eventually fell asleep.

Emma was awake before Edward, so she went upstairs to wake him up. She tapped on his shoulder and he slowly started to move and open his eyes. "Good morning." Emma greeted him. "Morning.." Edward wasn't fully awake yet. The funeral was in three hours. "I will go take a shower." He stood up and grabbed some new clothes and then started heading towards the bathroom. Emma went downstairs again. A shower would probably be good for him. He hasn't taken proper care of himself since the past days. Edward turned the shower faucet on, because it always took some time before warm water would come out. In the meantime he started to brush his teeth. Looking in the mirror, he could see young Connor smiling at him with his teeth gap. Even though he already had been 21 years old, he had still used the kids toothbrush. This made Edward smile and also realise that the hot steam from the shower had filled the room. He spat out the toothpaste and began to put his clothes off.

Emma was downstairs in the kitchen and prepared breakfast.  She already was in her clothing for the funeral. She made fried eggs and simple toast. Two plates were placed on the table in front of the TV. When Emma turned it on, Beetlejuice was currently running. Connor loved that show, so she didn't switch the channel. Edward came downstairs, he was wearing a black suit; not his usual type. He didn't even really like suits.  He sat down next to Emma on the sofa. "Thanks for making breakfast." Emma nodded. After finishing breakfast and other things, they had about an hour and a half left. The two packed some stuff and then got in Edward's car. Edward and Emma are going to get the parents from Mika. They only lived 20 minutes away.

When they arrived at the house, Mika's parents were already waiting outside. "Good morning... Thanks for getting us.." Pauline, Mika's mother, said to Edward. "No problem." Edward replied and the two got inside of the back of the car. Over the whole drive, they didn't really talk much. The drive took about an hour, so they had about 10 minutes left until the funeral would start. Jenny and her dad were already there. The atmosphere was... Empty... There wasn't much talking among the people. The priest arrived and greeted Edward and the others, letting them inside of the church. In the middle of the church stood the two coffins. The closer Edward got to it, the more he felt his stomach twist. Halfway through, he eventually broke down crying. Jenny ran to him and helped him to stand upward. The priest also went to Edward and asked if he needed something. Edward shook his head and sat down next to Emma and Jenny's parents.

The priest went to the middle of the church and started with the funeral. "Welcome, everyone. We are here today, to say our final goodbye, to our dear people; Connor Clark and Mika Runes." The funeral lasted for about 2 hours. Edward and the rest were standing in front of the two graves. No one spoke. It had even started to snow. The graves had a slight pile of snow on themselves. The others started to leave after some time. Only Edward stayed there. He still couldn't accept it. He sighed and decided to go as well. Emma was waiting for him in the car.
