Emma was sitting on the edge of the bed, holding the plush rabbit. Her face was wet and Edward looked more to the side. "..He kept the bonnie I made him?.." "Yes of course. It was his favourite.." The tears built their way up in her eyes. Her hat slipped down from her head and her mouth began to shake. Edward layed his arm around Emma. "...My baby.." Her head leaned against Edward's. The silence was broken by Jenny opening the door. "I packed my stuff." Edward looked at her and then at Emma. "Wait here." He and Jenny went downstairs and then outside to her car. When Jenny tried to start the engine, it wouldn't work. "Let me check the engine. Maybe a marten bit a cable." Edward opened the bonnet and looked inside. There was a huge bite mark. A bite mark from it. He was sure of it. He sighed. "I will bring you home. Get in my car, I will go to Emma real quick." Jenny nodded and began to pack her stuff in Edward's car.

Edward came into Connor's room again. "I need to bring Jenny home, the car is broken. Don't leave the house. No matter what you hear." Emma looked a little confused at him, and then nodded. "Okay.. be careful.." Edward waved and went back outside. Jenny was already sitting in his car. "This will be a long drive. Get some sleep." She nodded and used her jacket as a pillow. The drive would take about an hour and thirty minutes. Emma said she would pack some things for the funeral. She walked through the room and looked at the posters and pictures on the wall. She regret missing so many occasions to do stuff with Connor. Emma knew that Edward wouldn't be back so soon, so she decided to go downstairs and make herself some dinner.

The water was getting hot in the pot. She wanted to eat some noodles. She could remember how much Connor disliked noodles. Emma got out a package of noodles and began to put them in the boiling water.

It was nearly silent in the kitchen. Too silent. Her noodles were ready to eat, so she laid them on a plate. Emma turned the TV on, to watch the news.

"Friday, 20th of December. Today, another dead body was found near the forest. The victim is yet to be identified. The police advises to stay home. Now to the weather..."

She didn't pay attention to the news reporter after that. Not because of the fact, that another body had been found, but because of strange noises coming from outside. Emma turned the TV off and stood up, to look out of the window. Snowflakes went past the window and she could see the crystal flakes on the glass. Nothing seemed to be there. She looked between the trees. Where they... Moving? Yes. They were moving. It was the creature Edward mentioned. The thing probably didn't see her yet, so she decided to hide under the table. The shadow of the thing appeared in the window. Followed by a disgusting scratching sound on the glass. Emma started to panic. What if it breaks the window? She quickly got out her phone and dialed Edward's number.

It was mostly quiet in the car. Just the music filled the atmosphere with a little distraction. Jenny was looking out of the window, Edward wanted to say something, but didn't know what. A whole hour passed like that. "The first time when I met Connor, was one of my best experiences." Jenny let out the memories of her and the others. "He had been playing basketball with Mika. I was a new student and was walking around for friends." Edward didn't say anything, but listened carefully to her soft voice. "I was too afraid to ask them." She let out a little laugh. "Connor saw me standing there. Mika whispered something to him and then they came over to me." Jenny smiled while talking about that. Even Edward smiled a little. "Connor was the first one who greeted me. He was pretty excited to meet me." That made Edward chuckle. Connor always had been a 'social butterfly'. "We immediately became friends. And soon after, me and Mika came together.." Jenny played around with a curl of her hair. Mika was the one who asked her out. "Connor always told me, how glad he is to have friends like you." Edward nodded while replying to her. They would speak about more memories about Connor and Mika, before they eventually reached Jenny's home. "I will come inside for a bit, okay?" Jenny nodded and got out of the car. Edward unloaded  the luggage from Jenny. She already had ringed the bell at her house and her two dad's opened the door.

Edward spent about 20 minutes with the three, to drink some coffee. His phone rang. "Oh- my apologies. I need to get this call." "No worries! You can go in the kitchen." Dave, one of Jenny's dad's, pointed at a door nearby. Edward nodded and went inside the kitchen, accepting the call.

"Yes? Chief Edward."

"Ed.. it's here.. I need to be quiet.." "Are you okay? Did you hide somewhere?"

"Yes.. under the table. I can still see the shadow of it.." "Okay. Good. Stay under there. I will say goodbye to the Mill's and then will get home."

"Mhm.. alright.. please hurry... I don't wanna know what it can do..."

Jenny hung up and Edward walked back to the living room. Jenny and her dad's were currently laughing about something. "Pardon me. I need to head back,it's an emergency." "Of course! See you soon and stay safe!" Charles waved at Edward and he waved back. Jenny also said her goodbye. It would take an hour, if he drove faster. He would risk it. Even though their relationship hadn't been a good one, he would not want another victim to it.
