Stephanie

Today is the day of Angel's gender reveal and I've been running around like a chicken with its head cut off while Jaceyon sat around with his feet kicked up.

I've been on the phone all day with the woman who was decorating, the photographer, and the restaurant.

I reserved a private party room at Angel's favorite restaurant, Aria. I made sure the things like the cake and food were taken care of this morning.

Originally, Angel was supposed to plan the reveal but she got frustrated quick and me and Jd were SUPPOSED to take over.

Let me just say that Jd hasn't help me do a damn thing when it came to this gender reveal.

The only thing his fat ass did was went with me to cake testing and chose the flavor of the cake.

Well no I take that back, he has helped me a lot with the guest list since he knows all of Dave's people. But other than that, that's it.

He won't get no pussy tonight. I bet you that.

Not only did I have to get myself ready, but I had to make sure Angel was ready too. I had made her an appointment to get her hair, nails, and makeup done. I even brought her an outfit to wear.

I just want her to be relaxed and not worry about a thing.

The reveal starts at 6:00. It is now 3:30 PM. I decided to get ready early so I could be at the restaurant and do any finishing touches there.

I stepped out the shower and grabbed my towel, wrapping it around me. I opened the bathroom door only to see Jd ass laying down watching a damn game.

I'm sick of this shit.

I sighed. "Um Jaceyon." I said sharply. "Hmm?" He turned his head towards me.

"What the fuck are you doing?" He looked around.

"Whatchu mean what I'm doing? I'm watching the game..." He said in a duh tone.

"Are you serious right now?" He chuckled. "Babe what you mea-" I cut him off.

" 'HUH HUH' " I mimicked his laugh.

"I don't see a damn thing funny. You haven't helped me do shit all day long and you SEE I'm-" I said quickly "You know what? Don't even worry about it." I held my hand up to him and walked over to the bed. I snatched my clothes off the bed and headed back to the bathroom.

He sat up. "Baby wha-" "I'm not your fucking baby." I said slamming the fuck out of the door.

I sighed and put the clothes down. I decided to do my makeup first. I picked up my makeup bag and dug in it. After searching for my primer and not finding it, I threw my bag down on the counter out of frustration.

I picked it up again and dumped everything out on the counter. The door opened. I searched frantically through the stuff.

"Hey hey hey.." He said softly. He stood behind and grabbed my hands, stopping me. He then wrapped his arms around me.

I closed my eyes and sighed as he kissed my ear. "What's the matter mama? Tell me what's wrong..." He whispered in it.

"Jaceyon you've been pissing me off all day long! You see that I'm stressed and you haven't even asked me if I needed help!"

"I thought you had everything taken care of!" "Even if I did, you still could've asked!" I retorted.

"Okay babe, okay... What you need me to do?"

"Can you please go down to the woman's house who made the confetti things and get them? She lives in this neighborhood so it's not far at all..." He held me tighter.

"Mmkay." He rubbed my thighs. "I'm sorry okay? I apologize babe. I was wrong..." He kissed my ear.

I sighed. "Okay." He put my primer down on the counter. "Thanks." I said softly grabbing it.

I picked my phone up and texted him the address. My towel fell, but I caught the front of it.

He smacked my bare ass and kissed my neck. "I'll be back." He let me go and walked out the door.

I proceeded to do my face.

After an hour and a half, I was done. And Jaceyon's ass still wasn't back.

"Where the fuck is he?" I said, putting my heels on. Just as I said that, he came through the door.

"Where you been?" I asked without looking at him.

"I went and did what you told me to do and I dropped them off at the restaurant. Me and Mama Faye made sure everything was taken care of and set so there's nothing else that needs to be done. Everything is finished. Then I went to Dave's house to make sure he was straight. And I went and got you some to eat, I know you haven't eaten all day." He handed me a Chick Fil A bag and a drink. "Here you go."

I looked over at him out the side of my eye.

Bitch you ain't getting off the hook this easy.

"Thanks.." I said about to grab it but he pulled it back. "You gotta give me a kiss first.."

I sighed and walked over to him grabbing his face. I pecked his lips a couple of times.

"Mmm.. You look good." He softly sucked the side of my lips. My knees got weak as he spoke to me. I've been so busy running around that we haven't kissed all day long. He tried to stick some tongue in but I denied him and pulled back.

He scoffed and I snatched the food out of his hand. "Bitch." I mumbled as I sat down.

He softly pushed my head. "What?"

"STOP! You gonna mess my hair up!" I yelled. He mugged me. "Kairi, I don't like you." He said calling me by my middle name.

"Dewayne, I don't give a fuck." I said stuffing a fry in my mouth. I straight faced him.

"Fat ass." He mumbled. "You can go back home." He tried to get one of my fries but I popped his hand.

"Bitch please! And you got food! Go eat yours! Fuck." I scrunched my face up.

"Babe what do you think it is?" Jd asked me. "What??" I dipped my fries in my honey mustard sauce.

"The baby..." I stared off. "I don't know, I hope it's a boy."

"Wait so how did you get the things made without knowing what it is?" He swallowed his food.

"I got her Doctor to mail the gender to the woman." "Ohhhh okay okay.."

I grabbed my phone. I Facetime'd Angel. It soon connected.

"HEY BESTFRIEN- OO YOU LOOK CUTE!!" We both said at the same time. "Thank you! And thank you for my appointments and everything." She smiled.

"You're welcome! Wanna see my outfit?" I got excited. "Yes!!!"

I got up and stood in the mirror. I flipped the camera around so she could see.

"Ohhh gosh you look so cute!" She yelled. "I love how yellow looks on you..." I smiled.

"Thanks babe. But are you ready to go?" I asked her. "Umm almost. I just need to put my clothes on." I knew what that meant: another hour.

"Alright. You can be late but not tooo late." I said, walking back over to the bed and sitting down.

Jd's ass fell over. I looked at him and mugged him. "DAMN STEPH! YO FAT ASS MADE THE WHOLE FUCKING BED MOVE!"

Me and Angel started laughing. "Shut the fuck up! I'm sick of your ass!" I yelled smacking his head. He just got a hair cut this morning too so I know he felt that shit.

"Stop! Ima slap yo ass back. And not with my hand..."

"OOP!" Angel said laughing. "Bitch stop laughing! You supposed to be on my side!" I chucked. "I am!!"

"You just be there on fucking time!" I hung up.

I then Facetime'd David. It connected.

"What Steph?" I jumped back looking around.

"Aye bitch!" Jd jumped in the camera. "Don't act like that!" He yelled. "Yeah nigga we just called to see if you ready!" I rolled my neck.

"Damn, my bad y'all. Mya pissing me off." He said sharply. "What she do?" Me and Jd's noesy asses said at the same time.

"First she-" he got cut off by her yelling. "AND DONT LET ME CATCH YOU FLIRTING WITH THAT BITCH!!!!"

"Hold on, who she calling a bitch? I know she not talking about Angel..." "Shid she better not be." Jd co-signed me.

"SHE AINT NO BITCH MYA! WATCH YO FUCKING MOUTH!" He yelled back at her.

"Leave that bitch at home." I said, shaking my head. "Oh I am. Don't worry."

"Because I'm telling you if she come in there, I'm fighting that bitch. I don't give a fuck who get mad. And she better hope somebody get me up off her."

"And I'm not breaking it up this time B! Hell naw, Stephanie ass got the strength of a man." We all laughed.

"I'll see y'all down there." "Alright!" I hung up.

"You done eating?" I asked Jd. He nodded his head. "Come suck a lil dick before we go." I scoffed.

"Nahhh. I sucked some lastnight." He sucked his teeth. "You sucked my BALLS, not my dick!"

"AT LEAST YOU GOT SOME SUCKED! You still nutted though didn't you?" I got smart.

"Fuck you." "Shit you can't." I chuckled.

"You need to be getting ready, before I leave you." "I'm finna get in the shower now."

I stood up and repeatedly tapped him. "Babe come on take my picture!"

"Stephanie which one you want me to do: Go get ready or take your picture?" He looked at me.

"Babbeeee come on!" I pleaded. "Iight, iight." He stood up and grabbed my phone.

After he was done taking them, I looked at them. "Ooo these are cuteeee.."

"Mhm now come on." He said pulling his pants down. I furrowed my brows. "What you mean come on?"

"I didn't take them pictures for free. I don't take money though. I only take head." I died. He chuckled as he pulled his boxers down and walked over to me.

His dick was hard. "Mooovvvee!" He hugged me and held my face, kissing it.

I felt him poking the shit out of my thigh. "Nigga get that thing outta here!" I flicked it.

"Man I'm tired of messing with yo ass." He walked to the bathroom and shut the door. I soon heard the shower.

I pulled up to the restaurant at 6:45 PM. I hope Steph isn't to mad about me being late.

I got out and walked inside. I was met with a young black woman. "Hi! You must be Miss. Amore!" She smiled at me.

"Yes I am!" I shook her hand. "Okay you're right back her." She grabbed my hand and walked me to the back of the restaurant.

I stepped inside the room filled with people. The room was filled with pink and blue lighting.

"Angel!!!" Everyone yelled. I smiled and looked around in awe. Oh my gosh... The decorations are beautiful... This is beautiful...

I put my face in my hands and burst into tears.

"AWWWWW!" Everyone said. Stephane and Zoe came running up to me with tissue.

They both hugged me. "Awwww pooh... What's wrong?" Zoe said.

"It's beautiful..." I chocked out and everyone laughed. They dabbed my face with tissue.

"Alright now enough of this sad shit, we gotta get lit!" Zoie's friend Kendall said as he ran up to us. We met him through Zoe one night while we were all hanging out. His energy is amazing.

He put a camera in my face. "AYYE AYE!" Put the camera on my belly and rubbed my belly. We all laughed. I then turned around and moved my throw over so you could see my butt.

"OOOOOO!" Steph, Zoe, and Kendall said as they laughed.

I walked away from them smiling. Dave then came up to me and hugged me. "Hey beautiful." He kissed my face.

"Hey handsome!" I hugged him back. Mama Faye came and pushed him out the way getting her hug in.

I walked around the room saying hello and hugging everyone. Everyone was here. All my coworkers that worked on the same shift with me, Dr. Armstrong was there, Dave's family was there, and even him and Jd's friends were

here.

I can't believe these people came out just for me. I can only imagine what the baby shower will be like.

I spotted Sunny and Star sitting at the table Stephanie had reserved for me and my close friends and family.

I ran up to them. "Hiiii!" We said in unison. "I missed you guys!" I said to them.

"We missed you more! Oh my gosh your bump is so cute on you!!" Star squealed. I laughed.

"Thank you!!" I then felt little arms wrap around my leg. I looked down. "Hi Angel!" Ava waved at me.

"Awwww! Hi Ava!" I picked her up and kissed her all over her face. She giggled.

I put her down and she ran off to play with the other kids. I sat down at the table. "How have you guys been?!" I said to them.

"Girl school and working." They both rolled their eyes. I laughed. They were both currently in college. "It's okay I know I've been there. It'll alllll pay off in the end. I'm telling you."

"Well it's been sucking my ass dry." I laughed hard at Star. She chuckled. "Shit, ya girl on a budget..."

"But y'all it's been something that I've been meaning to tell y'all..." I whispered. They leaned in. "What is it??" They furrowed their eyebrows.

"I wanna talk to my father." They looked at me like I was crazy. I stopped them before they could deny. "No no listen. I've been having dreams every night for months about my past and I need closure. This is the only way."

"But are you sure Angel?" Sunny grabbed my hand. "Yes." I nodded my head.

"Alright... What you need us to do?" Star said.

"I need y'all to tell him to meet me at Recreational Park next Saturday at 12:15 PM. If he's so much as 10 minuets late, I'm leaving. That's his only chance he'll get to talk to me. So if he doesn't show up, then so be it. I know I've done all I could do."

They nodded their heads. "Alright, we got you. And you not going there alone either! We're going to be there." Sunny said.

"Okay fine with me!"

"Who else knows?" They asked. "Only you guys, Steph, Dave, and Jd. Things might get a little crazy so keep this quiet!" I told them.

"Alright we gotchu we gotchu.." They said. "Okay.. I'm hungry as fuck." I said rubbing my belly.

"Sammmeee!" Star said. "But no one wanted to order until you got here."

"Well I'm here now shit." I mumbled. Just as I said that, they waitress entered the room.

"Yo G waddup!" Jd and Dave said to Big G as he walked in a room with the cutest little boy on his hip.

"Wassup niggas!" G said back.

"Let's see if he comes to me." Jd said smiling. He held his hands out. "Aye let's see if he comes to me G!" Big G put the baby down.

Jd leaned down with his hands still out. The baby ran straight into his arms smiling as Jd picked him up. "Wassup man? Wassup G?" He cooed to the baby. "Gimmie five..." He put his hand out and the baby slapped it. He kissed him on the cheek and dapped Big G up.

I watched as Stephanie stared him interacting with the baby.

I pushed her should softly and she look at me with tears in her eyes. I hugged her.

"Awwww Steph... You'll get there..." I whispered to her so know one else would hear us. I rubbing her back.

"No I won't Angel... I can't even get pregnant." She patted her face.

"Steph you can't think like that... There's many ways you can get help. You can go see an IVF doctor. There's a lot of options you can choose from." I assured her. She nodded her head.

"Does he know?" She shook her head.

I gasped. "Steph you haven't told him?!" "No! And he's been trying so hard to get me pregnant too... I'm scared to tell him..." She put her head down.

"Scared? Scared of what?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "W-when I first told Glenn, he left me. That's what started the in and out my life thing. He said 'What am I going to do with a woman who can't have kids?' And honestly, I didn't blame him..."

My heart broke for her. I touched her hand. "Steph, you know Jd isn't anything like Glenn. You need to tell him. And tonight." She nodded her head. "I'll tell him when we get home.."

"Okay good." I kissed her on the cheek and gave her another hug. She smiled.

A woman came in with two boxes.

Stephanie got up and went to the front of the room. Zoie peeped and followed behind her. He took the boxes from her and began passing what was inside them around.

They looked like little push pop ice creams.

"Alright everyone can I get your attention please!" Stephanie yelled. The once loud room was now quiet.

"Dave and Angel can you both come stand up here please?" Dave looked at me confused. I shrugged my shoulders and walked to the front.

Zoie was done passing out the push pops. He came up and handed me and Dave one

We thanked him. I looked at it and shook it around.

"Can you see anything?" I mouthed to Dave.

He shook his around. "No it just looks like a whole bunch of gold shit." We laughed at the same time.

Everyone got there phones out, recording us. "Okay these are confetti push pops, you push it up to see the gender of the little human that's inside your tummy- DONT DO IT YET." She told the crowd and everyone laughed. She chuckled. "Don't do it yet. On my count of three, we're all going to push it up the same time."

"Okay!" Everyone yelled back.

"Alright. ONE... TWO... THREE!"

I pushed up and pink confetti went flying around the room. Everyone screamed and Stephanie hugged me.

I laughed as Dave and Jd jumped up and down laughing. "We told y'all!!!" They pointed at me and Steph.

Jd ran over to their crew. "Give me my money niggas! All of it!" Them niggas was putting bills up to $100 in his hand.

Dave was hype. "Yeah nigga!" He picked me up bridal style. "IM HAVING A DAUGHTER NIGGA!" He kissed my cheeks.

I laughed uncontrollably as he spun me around.

"Congratulations again Angel! Can't wait for the baby shower!" Nurse Gloria yelled across the parking lot.

"Thank you! Goodnight!" I smiled waving at her.

The gender reveal was over and everyone is gone. Me and David were the only people left.

He grabbed my hand as he walked me to my car. We got to the drivers side. We stopped at the door.

"Man I can't believe we're having a little girl..." He said and we both smiled. "Me either..." He grabbed my hands.

"Angel I'm the happiest man in the work right now. I know I'm having a baby with the right person. You're going to be a great mom..." He looked at me in my eyes.

"Awww David... I'm glad I chose you to be her fathers... And I'm so grateful that you didn't leave me with her alone..." I said softly.

He slowly leaned down. "I'll never leave you again..." he whispered. He put his hands on both sides of my face and pecked my lips.

He slowly slipped his tongue inside my mouth. My eyes went wide but soon closed when I tasted the sweetness of his lips that I missed so much.

He deepened the kiss even more, kissing me passionately. He put his hand on my hips and rubbed them up and down. I moaned into his mouth.

He then moved them down to my ass, gripping it. He softly rubbed it as I held onto his shirt. He slapped it causing me to flinch. I wanted to take him to take me home and make love to me, like we used to...

As I was kissing him, I started to think.

I snapped out it and opened my eyes. I pushed him off of me.

We stared at each other, feeling the tension rise. He walked back up to me and slightly sucked my lips, but I pushed him off again.

I shook my head. "David, you have a fiancé..." I said, feeling guilt take over.

He sighed. "Angel I'm sorry... I shouldn't have done that." "No no I'm sorry... I should've controlled myself.."

A silence took over.

"Well I'm gonna, head home.." I said. "A-Alright.." He opened my door. I got in the car and shut the door. I watched as he walked away to his car.

Oh God Angel... This isn't going to bring anything good.
