Chapter 56 of 64

55 - Performing in front of him

My Love Life : Y7418 words~3 min read

I'm in the Dance Team and we had to perform in the End Of Year performance. Malik is important in the music department, yada yada and had to do sound checks. I was in a disco costume with glitter all over me because that was the dress code. We were dancing to the songs "Dance The Night" by Dua Lipa and "Rain On Me" by Ariana Grande. Dude, he had gel in his hair, slicked back and looked so professional.

I wanted to-

We're NOT gonna think about my thought process while looking at him. My hair was slicked back and I looked pretty. At least, that's what I thought. Hardcore "Salik" ships were waiting for me and Malik to look; at least glance at each other.

Of course, he saw me. My position in the dance was facing him at all times, destiny I say. Everyone saw Malik at the sound check area right beside where we were dancing in the atrium and practically everyone came over to me while gushing "Siyana! Siyana! Malik is hereeeeee! He has so much gel in his hair and it's slicked back. Your worst enemy's here. You are so done for life". I'm definitely done for life. Let's hope he doesn't mention it in school.

While we were dancing, I was in the front at all times and didn't break eye contact with my silverboy. I was smirking because he was wide-eyed and shyly waved at me. I while lip-syncing to the song, smiled as a greeting. His lips were slightly parted and he kept on running his hands through his hair while staring at me which felt like he was eating me up.

After the dance, a bunch of kids were performing "Raining Tacos" and I was encouraging them; jumping up and down, clapping and cheering for the kids. The show was over and Malik, his mum (my BESTIE) were walking around. And I was walking around.

I kept on ALMOST bumping into him but then saw who it was and quickly changed direction. But once (after a million times of changing directions), I actually bumped into him and his mum was full-on smirking, Istg. I muttered "excuse me" and he acted as if I wasn't there but everyone, even the blind, deaf and mute, know that he saw me. I finally left, grateful that his mum didn't start a convo with me. Like imagine, speaking with ur worst enemy's mum while he's there, eating you up with THAT look.
