Chapter Eighteen

Falling for the Mafia Brothers1,307 words~7 min read

When Kyle got home, she made her way to Evie and visited Max. Since Max had been home, he’d been set up in the bedroom to continue healing.

“How did everything go?”

“I feel like I didn’t get closure. I did find out that Viktor is dead. Cannin killed him for my mother.”

“One less problem to deal with. We need to decide what to do with your mother. We are already planning to kill Cannin’s father.”

“I wanted her dead, but I can’t bring myself to want it anymore. I had too much time to think about it. She has other children. Younger children.”

Max let out a sigh. “Kyle, you need to stop thinking with your heart. Did she care that she was trying to take our daughter away?”

She knew Max was angry; he rarely called her by her name.

“Your mother isn’t the person she is trying to make you see. If you don’t want her dead, she’ll be a prisoner. We can’t have her free. It’s best if you let us take care of her.”

Kyle let out a sigh and placed Evie in Max’s arms.

“I know you didn’t grow up in this kind of life, and Dimitri and I have sheltered you; we took a back seat letting Anatoli, Mike, and your brother take care of everything.

“But if you plan on staying with us, you have to separate your feelings when dealing with people. You are going to have to live with the choices we make.”

“I know that, but does it not bother you?”

“If she were innocent, then maybe it would, but she tried to kidnap our daughter, and that’s unforgivable.

“You won’t have any part in what happens to her. You won’t even make the decision. I think it’s better that way.”

“I’m assuming there is no room for argument.”

“That’s correct, little bee. You don’t have to stay here. I’ll have Evie for a while—go and relax.”

Kyle didn’t hear any more about her mother, and she didn’t bother asking; she knew Max was serious about dealing with her mother the way they wanted to.

She’d spent the past few weeks helping Max with his recovery and planning for her wedding.

She wanted to marry Dimitri, but she felt that now wasn’t the right time because Max wasn’t fully recovered, and they were still planning their ambush on Cannin’s dad.

“Do you have everything ready for next week?” Varina asked her.

“It looks like everything is taken care of. I just hate that the guys are going through with the plan to take Cannin’s dad out this weekend.”

“How is your pregnancy going?”

Varina let out a sigh. “I’m tired all the time, Ryan is annoying, and I feel like a whale.”

“Don’t worry, that’s normal,” Kyle said with a laugh.

“Do you want any more?” Varina asked.

“I do, but I’m not sure if I want to raise more children in this life. It’s hard raising Evie. Hell, I even had a hard time with a dog, which is why you and Ryan ended up with Elliot.”

“Give yourself more credit. You were thrown into this life, and you’ve adapted pretty well, minus getting yourself kidnapped.”

Kyle was going to ask Varina how Ryan was doing, but they were interrupted by the guys coming back.

Dimitri walked up to Kyle and kissed her while handing her Evie.

“Did you guys enjoy the park?”

“We did. We probably looked weird, four men and one child.” Dimitri chuckled. “But it was nice to spend time with Evie.”

“Do you guys need to do this? Max isn’t even fully healed.”

“~Myshka~, it needs to be done. We can’t put it off; we need to do this to protect Evie.”

“Are you not hungry?” Max asked Kyle.

“Not really. I’m too nervous to eat. I don’t want you guys doing this.”

“We have been over this a million times, Kyle. You know I hate being blunt with you, but you have to get over it.”

“I just want you guys safe.”

“I know, but nothing is going to change what we are doing.”

“You’re not entirely healed.”

“I’m healed enough. Now, let’s end this conversation and spend some time together. We thought if we spent individual time with you that you would feel better about everything.

“Let’s finish up dinner so we can spend the evening together.”

They spent the rest of dinner eating and not saying a word. Kyle was in the kitchen putting the dishes in the dishwasher when Max came in.

“I don’t want to argue with you. I just want you to understand that this has to be done.”

Max stepped up behind her and moved her hair to the side and kissed her neck.

“We love you; I love you, and I want you safe. I want our daughter safe.” Max kissed her neck again before turning her around.

“I know that, but I’m also aware of the resources that Cannin’s father has.”

“That’s why we are going in the middle of the night.”

Before Kyle could say anything, Max kissed her, and Kyle didn’t waste any time returning the kiss. He picked her up and placed her on the counter and started kissing down her neck.

“Max?”

“Yes, little bee?”

“I’m sorry.”

“No need to apologize.”

Max went back to peppering Kyle with kisses and removing her shirt and was slightly annoyed with the bra she was wearing. He was hoping to have easy access to her breasts.

“Stand up and remove your bra,” Max commanded.

While Kyle was removing her bra, Max unbuttoned her pants and underwear and had her step out of them. Once she was fully undressed, Max picked her up and placed her back on the counter.

Kyle sat there watching Max undress. She was always amazed by their bodies. They were in perfect shape; even their scars were attractive.

She knew Max wanted to be in charge, but she wanted to touch him; she wanted to please him.

Kyle hopped on the counter and got on her knees in front of Max.

“Little bee, did I say you could move?”

“Please, Max, I want to do this for you.”

Max grabbed her by the chin so she would look at him. “Is it worth being punished for not listening?”

“Yes.”

Max chuckled. “This is about you and me; there will be no punishment, only pleasure. I love you.”

He let go of her chin and allowed her to continue.

Kyle took him into her mouth. She started slow, flicking the tip as she pulled back.

She slowly increased her pace until she heard Max moan out, and to tease him a bit, she slowed back down and sped back up.

Max fisted her hair and pulled her head back. “I know what you’re doing.” He guided her head back to his shaft and held her head as he pumped it into her mouth.

Kyle let out a moan. She loved it when Max was rough; he always gave her the right amount of pain, causing pleasure.

Max was close to his climax, so he pulled away from Kyle and helped her to her feet. He turned her around so her back was to his front.

“I love everything about your body, Kyle.” Max had one hand around her throat while moving his other hand toward her breast. His hand roamed her torso, causing goosebumps to show up on her arms.

“You’re always so responsive to me.”

Max kissed her neck while moving his hand lower. Once his hand slid across her core, Kyle let out a whimper.

“Let’s just see how fast I can make you cum, little bee.” The words alone had Kyle’s core clenching, and she knew that the night was just beginning.
