Falling for the Mafia Brothers651 words~4 min read

Dimitri was relieved when they made it to the house without being discovered.

“Remember, your job is to find Kyle and get her out of here safely.”

“I know.” Anatoli couldn’t help the déjà vu he was having. It was similar to the night he got shot.

Dimitri and the others entered through the back door while Anatoli climbed up the lattice to gain access to the second floor.

When he heard shots fired and men ran downstairs, he broke the window and climbed through it. He slowly checked out each room until he came to a locked door.

“~Malyshka~, are you in there?” he whispered through the door. He used Kyle’s nickname so she would know it was him.

“Anatoli?”

“Let me in, Kyle; we have to get you out!”

Kyle was hesitant at first, but he used her nickname. She ran to the door and flew it open and burst into tears when she saw Anatoli standing there.

“It’s okay, but we have to get going. I promised Dimitri I’d get you out.”

“Behind you!” Kyle shouted. Anatolia didn’t think twice and shot the man. “Come on.” He pulled her toward them and made his way back to the window he broke to get in.

“We have to climb down. Can you do that?”

She nodded her head and walked toward the window.

“Stop.” Kyle looked toward Anatolia and saw Cannin pointing a gun at him.

“Why are you guys after her?”

“Because she was taken from me.” Dimitri stepped into sight, pointing a gun at Cannin.

Kyle tried to run to Dimitri. “Don’t fucking move. If you think I’m going to let you leave, you’re wrong.”

“You don’t have a choice. Viktor shouldn’t have promised her to you; she was with me, and Viktor was angry that he couldn’t get our territory.”

“I understand, Volkov. If I had known at the beginning, I would have backed off, but it’s too late. She’s pregnant with my child, and she isn’t going anywhere.”

Dimitri looked at Kyle, and she could see the hurt in his face.

“It wasn’t by choice.” She hoped Dimitri understood what she was saying.

Dimitri understood what Kyle was saying, and it made his blood boil.

“You son of a bitch!” Dimitri yelled before tackling Cannin to the ground. Cannin’s gun flew from his hand as he hit the ground.

Kyle didn’t waste any time and ran for the gun.

“Stop it!” she yelled at them. Her command distracted Dimitri. He was trying to make sure she was okay.

Cannin pulled a knife out of his pocket, but before he could stab Dimitri, Kyle pulled the trigger, shooting Cannin.

Kyle dropped the gun and went to Dimitri. She hugged Dimitri. “I’m so sorry,” she said as she sobbed.

“It’s all right, ~myshka~. Let’s get you home.”

“You still want me?”

“Of course I still want you. What he did to you wasn’t your fault. We can talk about this later, but we need to get out of here.”

“We have to find Violet before we leave. She needs to come with us.”

“We don’t have time for this,” Anatoli snapped.

“Please? She helped me here, and she’s here against her will too.”

Dimitri, Anatoli, and Kyle looked for Violet and found her hiding in a closet in the hallway. Once Violet knew they were there to help, she followed Kyle.

The four of them made their way out of the house, trying to avoid the men that were sweeping the house looking for them.

Once they broke through the bottom floor, Dimitri made sure Jason, Mike, and Ellis retreated.

Once they got into the car, Dimitri pulled Kyle into him and kissed her. He was so happy to have her back, but he hated what she had to go through.

“I love you,” she whispered to him.

“I love you too, ~myshka~. Now let’s go home.”
