Chapter 46

Falling for the Mafia Brothers606 words~4 min read

Kyle woke up the next morning with a pounding headache from crying herself to sleep. She was sore and drained of energy and didn’t want to get out of bed.

She heard a knock on the door, and Cannin answered it, which surprised her. She thought he was gone already.

“Thanks. Can you come back in about an hour and a half?”

“Yes, sir.” Kyle recognized the voice as Violet’s.

Kyle felt the bed dip down, but she didn’t want to acknowledge him.

“Here’s your breakfast. You need to eat, and you can’t lie in bed all day.”

“You can’t control what I do when you’re gone.”

“Don’t test me, Kyle.”

“Just leave me alone.”

Cannin pulled Kyle up by the arm.

“You’re going to eat, take a shower, and get dressed.”

“No.”

“Goddamn it, Kyle. You’d better do what I tell you, or you’re going to regret it.”

“What are you going to do, rape me again?”

Cannin let out an annoyed sigh. “Just eat the damn food. Violet will be back in an hour, so you’d better be showered and dressed.”

Kyle didn’t care about what Cannin told her to do; he had already violated her in the worst way possible, so she wasn’t going to eat or be ready for Violet.

When Violet came for Kyle and realized she wasn’t ready, she panicked.

“You were supposed to be ready.”

“I don’t care.”

“Mr. Price is going to be angry if he finds out you didn’t eat or leave this room.”

“Where was I supposed to go? I can’t leave the house without him.”

“He asked me to make sure you got outside. He said we could do some work in the garden.”

“I don’t care what the bastard wants.” Kyle couldn’t help but cry. She felt used, disgusting, violated, and every word she could think to describe the horrible feeling.

Violet comforted Kyle and got her dressed, but in the end, Kyle was her stubborn self.

Max thought his brother had given up on getting Kyle back, but Dimitri just wanted him to believe that.

Dimitri spent time planning with Anatoli, Mike, and Jason, and now that Ellis was better, he included Ellis in the plan.

“I can’t wait until Kyle is back because of this damn dog.”

Dimitri looked over at Jason, and Elliot was sleeping on his feet, refusing to move, which caused him to chuckle.

“Are you sure we should be doing this without Max?” Anatoli asked.

“Yes, he’s too hot-headed, and I don’t want to get her or any of us killed. I did manage to get someone on the inside, and he said Kyle usually doesn’t leave the house and Cannin is gone during the day.”

“If we don’t take care of him, he’ll come after us.”

“I don’t think he realizes that we had her first. According to the informant, he didn’t even know she was Viktor’s daughter. I’m hoping Cannin wasn’t told about how Viktor got Kyle.”

“Can you trust this person on the inside?” Mike asked.

“I can, and I do. We are going to make our move soon, and we’ll need to have a plan to avoid Max.”

Everyone but Anatoli left the room when they were done.

“I hate keeping Max in the dark.”

“I know, but it’s necessary. He’d blow everyone up if he could, and I think we can get her with minimum risk.”

“I trust you, but Max is going to hate you for not including him.”

“He’ll get over it.”

Dimitri knew Max would be mad, but he would get over it as soon as he saw Kyle.
