Chapter 34

Falling for the Mafia Brothers1,769 words~9 min read

“With how slow everything with Viktor is going, I think we should forget about meeting and just let me talk to him on the phone. We haven’t made any progress.”

“We don’t have a problem with that, little bee, but Viktor does. He refuses to speak to anyone on the phone. He hasn’t even asked his guy to ask about Sarah.”

“We can tell him that it’s me on the phone, and that may change his mind.”

“You think that’s going to work? Because I doubt it will.” Max scoffed at Kyle.

“It wouldn’t hurt,” Kyle huffed back.

Kyle and Max had been going back and forth for a while about how to move things forward with Viktor, and it was getting them nowhere. Both of them were getting frustrated.

“Let’s move on from this conversation. We have more important things to discuss, like the DNA results I have right here.” Dimitri waved the envelope around.

Kyle got nervous. She didn’t know if this would help or hurt her in the end.

“How long have you had that?” Kyle asked Dimitri.

“Since last night, but I didn’t want to upset you so late in case you didn’t like the results.”

“Can I have it?” Kyle stuck out her hand as she asked, and Dimitri gave her the envelope without hesitation.

Kyle slowly opened the envelope and looked at the results.

“What does it say, ~myshka~?”

Kyle took a moment to read it before she told Max and Dimitri.

“It says she’s my sister.” Kyle didn’t know how to feel. She wanted to be happy that she had another sibling, but she was afraid of what that meant.

“We still don’t know for sure if Viktor is your father. He could have lied to Sarah,” Dimitri said.

“I don’t think he’s lying. I want to talk to him on the phone. I need answers, and I’m tired of waiting.”

Sarah was held at the house, but she was allowed to move around with someone watching at all times.

Max and Dimitri wouldn’t treat her any other way because of Kyle, but they also knew that by showing her mercy they might be able to convince her to continue helping them.

Kyle thought it would be better if she talked to Sarah to let her know the test proved they were sisters.

Kyle knocked on the door, and when she heard Sarah sniffle, she slowly pushed the door open. Sarah was sitting on the bed crying, and Kyle had a feeling that it was about Mike.

“What’s wrong?” Kyle asked.

“Mike doesn’t want me.”

Kyle didn’t know what to say to her. She didn’t blame Mike; Sarah lied to him. But she could tell Sarah loved him.

“I’m sure he’ll come around. He feels betrayed by someone he loves.”

“I didn’t mean to betray him. I didn’t have a choice. I didn’t expect to date someone. My goal was to befriend someone, but then I met Mike. I love him, Kyle.”

“He just needs time. Eventually, he will want to talk to you. He’ll want answers, and that’s your chance to explain everything.”

Kyle felt it was awkward to bring up the DNA results, but she thought it might cheer her up.

“We got the blood results back... It looks like we are actual sisters.”

“I knew he wasn’t lying. Have you talked to Viktor yet?”

“No. Viktor is playing hard to get; he won’t agree to anything. How do you meet up with him?”

“I only meet with him when he is in the country. I only go to Russia twice a year, and it is just to our family home.

“I don’t know where he stays in Russia. He’s kept everyone away from him except the men in his organization.”

Kyle immediately started formulating a plan. If Sarah went to Russia twice a year, then they could plan an ambush around that time.

“When was the next time you were going to go?”

“I usually go in July, and then again around Christmas.”

Kyle was happy to find out that they had a month to figure out how to use this information and ambush Viktor. She only needed to convince Max and Dimitri.

Kyle was positive this was the best course of action.

“That’s ridiculous, Kyle, and you know that.” Max and Dimitri did not like the idea. They thought she wasn’t taking this seriously.

“How could you even think that was a good idea?” Max wouldn’t let up on her. He was frustrated and angry at the whole situation, and he was taking it out on her.

“It’s stupid and naïve, and I didn’t expect you to be stupid.”

“Max, that’s enough,” Dimitri scolded him.

“What’s got into you, Max?” Kyle asked him. “You’re a prick to me. I understand if you don’t like what I had planned, but you could have said no. You didn’t have to belittle me.”

Kyle was hurt and angry and left the room. She didn’t want to deal with Max; he had never been that mean to her, not even when he forced her to live with him.

“What has gotten into you? You’re a jackass. You basically called her stupid.”

Max sat back. “I’m just tired of this shit. We are getting nowhere, and Kyle is just immature about this.”

“I agree, but you need to apologize to her. That was uncalled for.”

Max knew Dimitri was right, but he wanted to wait. He didn’t want to admit that he was behaving poorly.

Kyle was angry, and she wanted to handle this situation with her father.

She knew that her mother had kept a bunch of things Ryan packed up and stored in one of the closets, and she wondered if there was anything in them that would lead her to her father.

Her plan was to sneak out of the house and go to the apartment she used to share with Ryan.

Kyle knew that Max and Dimitri were still in the office, but she didn’t know how much longer they would be busy in there, so she decided now was her time to sneak out.

She knew where the extra car keys were kept and headed downstairs to retrieve a set. She didn’t have to be quiet; she just had to act normal.

Kyle made it out of the house to the apartment without anyone knowing. She spent a few hours looking through the closets hoping to find something.

She only had one closet left, and she was praying that there was something in there.

She got halfway through the closet when the front door was busted open.

“Kyle!” she heard Max yell. “Where the fuck are you?”

She ignored him. She wanted to finish going through the boxes, but she didn’t have a lot of time. She opened each box and peeked in.

The third box she opened contained paperwork. This was what she was looking for. She grabbed the box and left the room, and she ran into Max in the hallway.

“What in the world are you doing?” Max yelled at her. “We have been looking for you for hours!”

“I had to get something, and I knew you wouldn’t let me since you think I’m stupid.”

Max huffed and dragged her by the arm to the living room. In the living room waiting for them was Anatoli. Max made Kyle give Anatoli the box.

“I’d better get that back,” Kyle protested.

“Relax, little bee; it’ll be waiting for you at the house. I want to talk to you.”

Max guided her to the couch and told her to sit.

“I never do this, so don’t take this lightly, but I’m sorry. I was angry at a lot of different things, and your plan wasn’t horrible. I should have said it in a nicer way.”

“I appreciate the apology, Max, but this isn’t the first time. You treat me like a child. While I do admit that I can act like one sometimes, I want to be taken seriously.

“I think the box I found may have some information on my father, and I plan on looking through it regardless of what you and Dimitri think. There is a reason my father wants me now.”

“I’m still sorry, little bee.”

“I know.” Kyle stood up and kissed Max, but when she went to pull away, he grabbed her neck and pulled her back to his lips. Max devoured her as if he hadn’t kissed her in years.

When Max finally broke the kiss, they were panting. “Undress,” Max commanded her.

Kyle loved it when he dominated her sexually.

“You’ve come a long way from being the shy little bee you used to be,” Max stared at Kyle.

He loved her body—it was always responsive to his touch, and he loved that he was the one teaching her about the things she liked.

Max commanded her to undress him, and when she got his pants and boxers off, she stayed on her knees and took his hard shaft into her mouth.

Max inhaled sharply as Kyle licked his shaft and sucked on the tip and placed his rod in her mouth. When he hit the back of her throat and she didn’t gag, Max complimented her.

“If you keep this up, I’m going to come in that pretty little mouth of yours.”

Kyle moaned, and the vibrations almost sent Max over the edge. Max fisted Kyle’s hair and pulled her head back. He didn’t like losing control, and she was taking his control away in every aspect.

He couldn’t control her like he could others. She defied him in many ways, and it made him angry.

“Up.” Max couldn’t take it anymore. He needed to fuck her.

Max guided her to the arm of the couch. “Bend over,” he told her.

“No,” Kyle responded. “You’re mad at me and I’m not going to let you use me as a way to let go of your anger. You get carried away when you’re angry.”

“If you wouldn’t do stupid shit, I wouldn’t get angry.”

“Don’t blame this on me, Max. I wouldn’t have come here without you if you didn’t try to keep me a prisoner. I love you and Dimitri but you need some boundaries. I refuse to let you use me right now.”

Max was not used to Kyle telling him no, it made him angrier, so he turned around and knocked everything off the shelf behind him. Kyle took a step back, afraid to say anything; she only stared at Max.
